I would like to thank the committee for the invite to judge my first Terrier group at an open show. I really enjoyed my day and was very impressed with the quality of the entry. Thank you to Douglas for stepping in to steward.

1st De’lara’s Rhicullen Twinkling Star at Kiltdale (Bedlington)
12month old liver bitch, feminine with a nice head of good proportions. Correct ear set and shape. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders and straight forelegs. Well ribbed. Correct hindquarters with good angulation. Moved well and good presentation.

1st Nitka’s Omar Vom Granitfelsen (Welsh Terrier) Best AVNSC
5 year old dog, masculine head with correct expression and well set ears. Good front with tight feet. Well developed hind quarters which he used to drive around the ring. Showed in good condition.

1st Tullis and Newton’s Lynnsto Craftsman at Drumsheugh BOB
Nearly 2 year old dog with a pleasing head, dark eye and alert expression. Good front, maintained his topline on the stack and on the move. Compact with a strong loin. Muscular hindquarters allowing him to move well around the ring. Correct coat texture.
2nd Bell’s Maxmadadh Mikko Marmorista 10month old, wider in hind than 1st
10month old. Very keen showman who with time should settle. Nice head, good topline and in good overall condition.

1st Bain’s Muliebrity Touch of Gold BOB a bitch who I have judged previously.
2year old bitch, presented in fantastic condition without being overdone. Good head with a well filled fore face. Nice dark eye with keen expression. Good straight front and powerful hindquarters. Good topline and tail carried high.
2nd Purchons’ Crillee Carry on Fire Baby. Very impressed with this 6 month old Bitch. Balanced on the move for her age, free moving forelegs and strong hind end. Lovely head of the correct proportions. Lovely temperament. Short, straight, level topline. Overall nice shape. Will watch her with interest as she grows.
3rd Burn’s Balchraggan Rock Whitebeam
Staffordshire Bull Terrier Open
1st Clark’s Albamadra Perfect Illusion BOB 14 month old youngster who today won on her balance on the move. Presented in good muscle tone. Feminine head of good proportions , well set ears and good strong jaw. Well ribbed.
2nd Walsh and Lloyd’s Crowstaff Seize the Day for Weorc. 13 month old Bitch who I’m sure on another would have swapped places with 1st. Not as balanced on the move but slightly younger so this will come. Good front, ample bone and well bodied.

Fox Terrier (Wire) Open
1st Anderson and Watt’s Burrencroft Leading the Way Nisyros BOB. Alert dog, clean head with nice dark eye, and well set ears. Tidy front with a clean neck into a deep chest. Short level back. Strong well angulated hindquarters. Presented in good condition.
Fox Terrier (Smooth) Open
1st Anderson and Watt’s Nisyros Galliano BOB. Well muscled and proportioned white male. Lovely lean head, powerful jaws. Good straight front, well laid shoulders with a clean neck. Level aback which he maintained at all times. Moved well.
2nd Henderson’s Finleric Foxy Lady. Feminine bitch, well proportioned, good strong jaw with correct dentition. Well set ears. Today lost out on movement, just not as settled as 1st.
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Graduate
1st Lui’s Eblanahalls Gold Fascinus BOB, 11month old dog. Head of good proportions with a well defined stop. Strong jaws with correct dentition. Good depth of chest, level topline and correct tail set and carriage. Handled well. An exciting youngster who I am sure will have a good career.
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Open
1st Lui’s Eblanahalls Gold Limerence JW 5 year old bitch. Lovely type. Coat of the correct texture. Nice head with the typical expression. Balanced on the move and maintained her outline throughout.
2nd Lui’s Eblanahalls Kiss Curl JW. Another nice exhibit from this kennel, lost out on movement today, just not the drive of 1st but I am sure on another day these 2 would swap places. Lovely head with dark eyes and medium sized correctly set ears.

1st Lamb and Saltmarsh’s Tycando Shining Star Around Macmoon JW BOB 2 year old wheaten dog. Preferred his head to 2nd. Balanced with a level back and correct tail set. Moved and handled well.
2nd Lamb and Saltmarsh’s Birselaw Come Dancine with Macmoon OSW JW SHCex 9year old dog who does not move like a veteran. Free flowing strides around the ring, nice broad skull. Strong body.
Border Terrier Graduate
1st Scott’s Auchenlaw Ted at Kilburnpride. 3 year old dog who won the class on his movement today. Nice otter head of the correct proportions, well set ears. Good bone, well angulated hindquarters which helped him power around the ring.
2nd Young and Mccluskey’s Rainsbarrow Thistle. 4 year old dog who did not give his handler an easy job. Straight forelegs with tidy feet. Typical racy hindquarters.
3rd Lawrence and Scrimgeour’s Comalegy Lady of the House with Fiadhaich

1st Macgregor’s Chadbrook Torsten SHCex BOB. Very nice dog, not over done. Nice otter head with nice dark eye. Good front. Ample bone. Spannable. Excellent harsh coat. Moved well.
2nd Nicol’s Upend Country Lad at Jacraila. I last judged this dog when he was 18months old. He has matured into a nice exhibit. I still like his head with his dark pigmentation and cheeky expression. Well angulated and moved well around the ring. Handled well. In good coat. Very balanced.

1st Kidds’ Vindovala Loch Lomond at Coirelagan BOB. Nice black bitch. Good head with typical expression, strong jaw. Well ribbed body and short loin. Well angulated hindquarters. Moved freely around the ring while maintain her typical shape.
Lakeland Terrier Open
1st Claytons’ Nisyros Rigatoni for Lokilake BOB. Stood alone but a worthy winner. Well proportioned head with small dark eyes, small triangular ears and a keen expression. Straight forelegs, clean neck into well placed shoulders. Compact body, well angulated hind quarters with good muscle tone. Moved with drive. Delighted to hear him go Best in Show.

1st Nicol’s Celmareva Go The Distance at Ropebbie BOB. Long head with a slight distinctive stop. Dark eye and neat ears. Good front, level topline and muscular loin. Lovely personality and moved well.
2nd Nitka’s Szkocka Elita Huberick. Well presented. Today I feel that 1st out moved 2nd. Good strong jaw, clean neck and shoulders and well muscled hindquarters.

2nd Clayton’s Northdrum Highland Prince smart 18month old dog. Good head, keen expression, neat ears. Straight forelegs. Well muscled body, level topline. Well angulated hindquarters. Moved well and in excellent condition.

2nd Clayton’s Northdrum Highland Gold, pretty bitch with a good attitude. Workmanlike and on her toes. Good head with nice dark eye, feminine without being overdone. Presented in good coat and moved well.

1st Anderson and McAulay’s Hun CH Foxfur Eavesdropper for Vysaris IRJCH JW BOB. Confident and game 20month old dog. He was very much on his toes at all times and moved well big free strides and no exaggeration. Nice shape, good topline and well muscled. Good angulation and nice tidy feet.
2nd Mccluskey and Young’s Heythrop Tempted to Chadbrook. Lovely feminine 20month old Bitch. Lovely head of the correct proportions. Nice dark eyes and well set ears, giving a nice expression. Well ribbed, good muscle tone. Moved well.

Well muscled hindquarters which let her move with reach and drive around the ring, very balanced and enjoyed seeing her personality, definitely one who doesn’t act her age. Presented in top condition. Delighted to hear that she went Best Veteran in show.
2nd Bratcher’s Rattustrap Dark Matters at Carnifex. 7 year old Manchester Terrier dog. Good skull, well proportioned with long foreface. Compact body with clean sloped shoulders. Free balanced movement.
