Candice Parker-Smith (Bratticus)

Thank you so much to the society for inviting me to judge at this super, well run show. Great venue, just a shame it was a rather damp and windy at times! However, as ever, the society prevailed and all went smoothly.

Pastoral (Many thanks to Katie and Dave, my stewards, for a well organised ring in such inclement weather. Special shout out to Dave as this was his first day of stewarding and he was exceptionally organised.)Heeler

As usual, this breed entertained me showing their attitude and tenacity throughout all exhibitors.

Special Yearling D/B: 3 entries

1. Mrs P F Hughes’ RIBBLESPRIDE KRUGER JW (D) Handsome head, well-proportioned with well laid shoulders. Moved freely and smartly whilst being aware of his surroundings. Good tail set with a curl when standing but more upright on movement. Rear view parallel and muscular. (RBOB)

2. Miss M L C Kenyon’s DROVERSROCK OBSIDIAN (B) A little reluctant to move freely as adamant she wanted to see something beyond the ring. Eventually settled more and did stand well. Smaller than 1st as a bitch but pleasingly formed also.

Post Graduate D/B: 4 entries

1. Mrs R & Mr C Bowker’s ROSIE BOUQUET (B) Firm, level topline held throughout movement. Good short, thick coat. Great expression. Sturdy build, parallel from rear, carrying her tail well.

2. Mrs D Turnbull’s DROVERSROCK TIGERS EYE (B) Feminine head, alert and focused on handler. Wider behind than 1st but still moved briskly, just not staying in correct gait all the way round.

Open D/B: 3 entries (1 abs)

1. Mrs P F Hughes’ POOLHEYWOOD BARNEY JW (D) What a character and show off this chap is. Keen to do the job, alert and moved briskly freely. Lovely topline and head with super expression. (BOB)

2. Mrs S Wiseman’s FOXTHYME TILLY (B) Just as much character as 1st and well put together. Lovely head and good dark eye. Just moved a little close behind today.
