I would like to thank the exhibitors who came under me on this hot day, and also to my stewards Sheila and Carla for making my job easier. It was lovely having friendly faces to work with. I had some really high quality dogs to go over and I thank everyone for accepting their placings with grace.

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever

I am so fond of this breed, and there were some super examples today. It was nice to see a line up where no one was over sized and all were the correct colour. I had to really split hairs in the challenge because I had three really nice dogs in it, all of which fitted the breed standard perfectly.

Two 15 month old litter mates in this class who are a credit to their breeder. I will keep an eye on both of them as they mature as they could both go far.

1st Hipkiss’ Deltandamba It’s A Sin

Very handsome male with a gorgeous coat in both colour and texture with a well feathered rear and tail. Masculine head with such a melting expression and just demands you look at him. He’s a really super youngster who sadly lost out to maturity in his second class. He’s muscling up in all the right places, has good lay of shoulders, deep chest and a firm topline which he keeps on the move. He moves and shows well and is all round a very nice young man.

2nd Deltandamba Domino Dancing

Petite feminine bitch who sadly was a little distracted on the move and was a tad close behind today. She has a well muscled neck into a firm topline, deep chest and correct tail set. Like her brother she has good bend of stifle and correct feet. I’m sure that her and her brother will swap places at other shows. She’s a super little girl, who knows it too!

1st Hughes’ Abacot Heart Of The Ocean JW

Lovely male who made his handler work hard today. Lovely coat of correct texture, colour and with nice feathering. He has a lovely masculine head with a sweet expression, deep chest and good lay of shoulders. Good bend of stifle and strong pasterns which means that he is really able to come into himself on the move, his movement is to die for. He moves effortlessly with fantastic reach and drive. He’s an all round nice boy, and in the challenge he pulled out all the stops and flew around the ring to be awarded BOB. Definitely one to watch for the future when he’s fully mature.

1st Hunter’s Serentan Castor

Very handsome male, who I judged as a youngster when he was just out of puppy and he’s matured nicely. Now just over three years old and there is a so much to to like about this boy. He has a lovely coat with good colouring, texture and feathering. Masculine head with a sweet expression, strong neck into a firm top line with correct tail set. He has good muscle, nice bend of stifle and strong pasterns. He moves with purpose and pushed hard in the challenge. I was delighted to award him RBOB

2nd Hughes’ Abacot Into The Unknown JW

One I’ve judged before but had his silly hat on today, He is definitely Mr personality! Good sized male who has a gorgeous coat of correct colour and texture, is well muscled with a nice deep chest, firm topline and correct tail set. He’s such an endearing boy, who just enjoys himself so much in the ring which is a joy to see. He could come home with me any day!

Pretty feminine bitch of 5 yr old, nice frame and a really good make and shape. She has a good lay of shoulder, deep chest, firm topline and correct tail set. She has a good bend of stifle and she moves with good reach and drive. Just lost out on the final run around in the challenge but so much to like about this lady.

2nd Hughes’ Sh Ch Eusanit Gem Stone At Abacot VW

Just lost out to youth today. Very nice 8yr old who was, like a lot of us, was really feeling the heat. Very pretty bitch who is dam to my BOB and has passed her cheeky expression onto him. She has a nice coat, deep chest, nicely feathered tail and rear and moves with purpose. A lot to like and I’m not surprised to see that she is a Show Champion.

Quite a small entry today, but nice nonetheless. I think everyone was feeling the heat a bit and some dogs (and handlers to be honest!) just weren’t as happy as I’ve seen them previously.

1st Bridge & Meyer’s Tamilanda Staropramen For Akoni

Evenly spotted 10mnth old liver all male dog. Well up to size, he was a bit distracted today and made his handler work hard. Nice masculine skull, into good strong neck and correct lay of shoulder. Deep chest, he is muscling up in the right places, has good bend of stifle, tight cat feet and a superb temperament. He is such a happy showman, his tail doesn’t’ stop wagging. I look forward to seeing him develop and mature. Delighted to see him go PG3

1st Carrington’s Caprilli Remember Me For Ladallyvita

14 month old black spotted bitch, lovely feminine head with a very sweet expression, good lay of shoulder, firm topline, correct tail set, good bend of stifle and nice cat feet. She is muscling up in all the right places and has a lovely personality. She moved fluidly with good reach and drive when settled. Will watch with interest as she matures. Pushed hard in the challenge.

1st Bridge & Meyer’s Akoni Buttery D’Or

This bitch has matured so nicely since I last judged her as a puppy. She is now 3yrs old and has a superb firm top line which she keeps on the move and is shown on a loose lead which allows her to move with good reach and drive. Such a happy girl, her tail doesn’t stop wagging. She has a strong neck into good shoulders, deep chest and correct tail set. Good bend of stifle and correct cat feet. She is a pretty and feminine bitch, who is attentive to her handler. So much to like, and she pulled out all the stops in the challenge to be awarded BOB and she went on to look lovely in the group. Very well done.

6yr old black spotted bitch who didn’t want to cooperate with her handler today. Pretty feminine head with a lovely expression, she is evenly spotted with nice pigmentation. She has fantastic reach and drive, firm topline which she keeps on the move, deep chest, good bend of stifle and correct cat feet. So much to like but she was just a bit distracted today.

This is one of the nicest Tibetan spaniel entries I’ve had. There were some super dogs and the quality was impeccable.

1st Smith’s Parloueve Happy As Larry With Lacoral

Stunning gold sable 11 month old boy. He has a super masculine head, nice eyes and muzzle, good ear set and nice neck. He is muscling up in all the right places and moves well for one so young. Should go far, he’s lovely. BPIB and he looked lovely in the Puppy Group. I’ll be keep an eye out for him in the future.

Stunning silver sable handsome male. This young male has a great personality with a gorgeous coat and nice feathering. He just demands that you look at him and moves with purpose and swagger. Nice overall make and shape, lovely masculine domed head, strong neck, good bone, nice spring of rib and strong hocks. There is so much to like and pulled out all the stops in the challenge, I just couldn’t look past him for BOB. Delighted to see him go G2

Such an endearing personality on this silver sable boy. Another of a good make and shape with lovely masculine head. He has a nice coat with good feathering, strong rear and good bone. He moves with style and purpose, like he wants everyone to notice him. He’s well muscled and has a lovely neck and topline. He pushed hard for BOB.

2nd Ch Tibbiestars Tutti Frutti At Lacoral JW

Lovely Red sable girl who was feeling the heat and didn’t move to her best today. Very pretty girl with a feminine domed head, good neck into good top line and tailset. Well boned and muscled with good bend of stifle. Very attentive to her handler, but she just didn’t have that extra sparkle today in the heat. Dam to my BOB winner and she has passed many of her attributes onto him. A super Champion bitch.

Adult Handling – firstly I would like to apologise for the mix up with the classes which led to some exhibitors missing their class after waiting until the end of the day for them. It was an unacceptable occurrence and I do feel dreadful about it. Had I known you were waiting I would have made sure you were aware which class was which. I can only apologise for the mix up

Handling a norfolk terrier who didn’t make Paige’s job easy today! She did a great job with him, and didn’t stop talking to him and guiding him. Not a mean feat to show a dog while using a crutch so I admire you.

1st Caroline Gammon

Handling a vizsla, such a lovely and polite handler who did her T to perfection. She spoke to the dog constantly, and was aware of my positioning at all times. Her shadow work was faultless, she made it all look easy
