The Show is Scheduled on the same day at National Gundog so appreciated the support given to the Association.

1st Ovel’s Heartbury Valentino at Jimaura

I judged this young male as a puppy and his has matured along nicely. Liver and white coat was in good condition. Pleasing in head, eye, and expression. Ears lying close to his head. Decent depth to chest and spring of rib. Straight forelegs, decent bend to stifle and oval feet. Would like a tad more weight on him. Handled nicely and he moved well.

1st Perren’s Evaluna For Your Eyes Only At Mistin JW (RBOB)

Nice bitch, black and white with flecking. Handled well to show off her pleasing outline. Straight forelegs, good length of pasterns and oval feet. Nicely angulated fore and aft, her neck fitted well into good lay of shoulder. Good depth to chest and well sprung ribs. Well-muscled hind quarters and strong hocks allowed for good drive from the rear. Just unlucky to come against the BOB on the day who just had that extra bit of verve.

2nd Ovel’s Alozia Zara At Jimaura

Liver and white bitch with pleasing head, expressive eyes, and good ear set. Straight forelegs with good oval bone. Has decent depth to chest and nice spring of rib. Shown in good coat. Just carries her tail a tad too high for me. She moved steady around the ring.

1st Bircham’s Wilchrimane Adagio At Braegorse BOB & GROUP 2

This Orange and white male made a pleasing picture when stood with an outline showing his graceful curves. Handled to perfection and shown in good coat and condition. Easy to go over as so nicely constructed with straight forelegs, good oval bone , strong pasterns leading to oval feet. Handsome head with desired eye shape and colour. His ribs are well sprung, deep in brisket and neat at elbow. His clean neck fits well in to good lay back of shoulder. Well off for muscle tone throughout. Moved smoothy with good driving action from rear. 

2ND Perren’s Evaluna Chasing Rainbows With Hookwood JW

This black and white bitch made a good impression, nice in outline, her feminine head, with dark eyes and rims. Nicely constructed with desired length to clean neck fitting neatly into her shoulders. Decent spring of rib, good depth to chest and slight arch to loins. Nicely angulated front and rear made for smooth movement and drive from the rear.

1st Broadbent’s Gemswin I Am Sailing JW (RBOB)

Three-year-old male shown in fabulous black coat and condition. Handled to perfection! Made a very pleasing outline whilst stood. Handsome in head and his dark eyes showed the typical expression. Nice length to neck, clean and fitting neatly into his shoulders. Straight forelegs with good bone lead down to nice, rounded feet. Good depth to chest and desired spring of ribs. Nicely angulated to both front and rear. Moved steady with good footfall.

2nd Kiddell’s Diamante Blu Regina Della Pace To Hameldowntor JW SGWC

Feminine bitch, pleasing in outline with a nice headpiece. Shown in good condition with gleaming black coat. Well-muscled with good bone throughout. Straight tail, set well which she held correctly on the move. Her construction allowed for good movement both forward and back.

1st Wilson’s Hameldowntor Music Of The Night VW (BOB)

Much credit to the owner for the wonderful condition of this ten your old bitch. Her black coat with ample feathering was luscious! Very pleasing in head, her dark eyes showed the typically intelligent expression. Nicely constructed, her neck of good length fitted well into good lay of shoulder, clean at elbow and straight forelegs. Muscular rear quarters allowed for good drive from the rear and overall, her movement was sound and free flowing. Pleased to award her BOB and later 2nd in the Gundog Veteran Class

1st Seamon’s Messano Sweetness & Light

Pale bitch of ten months lives up to her name! Have admired her from ringside so was lovely to have the opportunity to judge her. Balanced in outline and she has the most feminine of heads with her dark eyes giving typical kindly expression. Nice length of neck which fits neatly into good lay of shoulder, straight forelegs led down to nicely rounded feet. Has good return of upper arm, neat at elbow and decent depth of chest and spring of rib for her age. Nicely angulated to the rear with good bend of stifle and straight hocks. Reared well with good bone and muscle tone. Presented nicely in good coat and condition. Once settled she moved well with good footfall. Pleased to award her BPIB and later Puppy Group 3.

2ND Manton’s Chelmerway Golly Gosh

Nine-month-old pale bitch was presented in lovely coat and condition and handled well. Balanced feminine head, with good ear set, dark eyes, and rims. Pleasing in outline, balanced with a level topline. Straight forelegs with good bone and catlike feet. She possesses good depth of chest, spring of rib and muscle tone for this stage of her development. Happy mover lashing her tail. She later went onto win A.V Puppy.

1ST Clarke-Gear’s Dewmist Danzatore With Ousevale JW (IMP SWE)

This pale lad of two years made an impressive picture, balanced in outline, with an equally balanced head with desired width to skull, finish to muzzle and lovely dark nose. Dark rims and eyes, showing typical kindly expression we love in this breed. Of good construction throughout he is an easy dog to judge. Nicely angulated front and rear, his forelegs correctly under his body with his elbows close. Well off for bone and muscle tone. Shown in fabulous coat, well feathered. He moved with drive and good forward reach holding his topline. Pleased to award him RBOB.

2nd North’s Shinehill Florence At Tippastree

Three-year-old mid gold bitch has a feminine head, balanced with her dark eyes giving the sweetest of expression. Ear set correct and good pigmentation to eye rims and nose. Straight forelegs of good length and bone led down to neat, rounded feet. She has good depth to her chest and ribs well sprung. Level back led to good tail set. Stifles well bent and hocks short and straight. She moved steady forward and back,

1st Barber’s Messano Just Good Friends with Swansreach 

This lad easily takes one’s eye and presents a very pleasing image. Presented in lovely coat and condition and handled to advantage. Masculine head, not course in any way, good depth, and width to muzzle and dark expressive eyes. Easy to go over as so well constructed. Straight forelegs, good bone, and catlike feet. His muscular, clean neck fits neatly into good lay of shoulder. Nicely angulated to front, with good return of upper arm with his legs correctly under his body. Ribs well sprung and good depth to chest, elbows close to his body. Nicely angulated to rear with good bend to stifles, width to thighs and short straight hocks. He moved happily with forward reach and drive holding his topline and tail correctly. Was pleased to award him BOB and Group 3

2nd Seamon’s Messano Snap Crackle and Pop

Three-year-old bitch has a feminine, balanced head, dark brown expressive eyes with dark pigmentation to nose and eye rims. Liked her very much for type and balance. Short coupled with a level topline, leading to correct tail set. Nice length to neck which fitted well into her shoulders, straight forelegs, and lovely catlike feet. Deep in brisket, ribs well spring and neat at elbow. Nicely angulated to rear with good muscle tone to first and second thigh. She moved with forward reach and drive from the rear using strong hocks.

Nine-month-old Yellow boy has a nice masculine head with defined stop, brown expressive eyes and ears set well back. His forelegs are straight, with good bone and compact feet. Decent depth to his chest and spring of rib for his age. His tail set is correct but carries it too high on the move unfortunately. He moved ok. BPIB & PG4

Two-year-old yellow bitch showed typical temperament which is most becoming in this breed. Feminine head, with desired shape and colour to eyes showing kind expression. 

Clean neck fitted neatly into her shoulders; level topline led to good tail set. Good spring to rib and depth to chest. Decent bend of stifle and strong hocks. Covered the ground well on the move. RBOB

2nd Bysouth’s Luckswarren Secret Phoenix

4-year-old bitch shown in lovely black coat. Feminine head, brown expressive eyes, and ear set correct. Straight forelegs of good bone led down to round feet. Good depth to her chest and bend of stifle. Moved steadily with good tail action.

Four-year-old bitch presented in lovely black coat and condition. Handled well by her owner. Again, she showed the super temperament as desired in this lovely breed. Liked her head, nice width to skull and defined stop, expressive brown eyes and ear set correct. Overall, she is nicely constructed with good depth to her chest and ribs well sprung. Good bone with decent muscle tone to rear quarters. She moved covering the small ring well. Please to award her BOB

Lovely puppy bitch of 10 months handled well and presented in beautiful black shining coat. Nicely balanced with good overall construction. Feminine in head, dark expressive eyes and ears set correctly. Clean neck of moderate length fitted neatly into her shoulders. Straight forelegs with good bone led down to cat-like feet. Good depth to chest and decent spring of rib for her age. Nicely compact with a good tail set. Moved with confidence covering the ground well. Will watch her progress with interest. BPIB and PG2

2nd Hutton-Baber’s Babtonkelpie Ship Happens

Blue Roan bitch of nine months made a pleasing image when stood. Handled to advantage and presented in silky coat with ample feathering. Appealing head, with nice finish to muzzle, dark brown eyes, and ears clothed in silky hair. Nicely angulated to front and rear, has depth to chest and spring to her ribs. Level in topline and tail set correct. Moved well with lively tail action.

Handsome male in lovely black shining coat. Nicely constructed, with good angulation fore and aft. He possesses good bone and muscle tone. Ample depth to chest and spring of rib. Level topline led to correct tail set. He moved confidently with good drive. Could have easily taken him home! RBOB

2ND Clifford’s Wyncastle’s Saint Laurent Avec Chamford BEL/HUN JCH JW (IMP HUN)

Blue Roan bitch nearly two, presented in lovely coat and condition. I very much appreciate how much work goes into presentation and grooming! Feminine in head with expressive brown eyes and ears set correctly. Straight forelegs of good length and bone. Clean muscular neck flowed into her shoulders. Deep in brisket and well sprung ribs. Nicely angulated to rear allowed for good drive on the move.

1ST Kent’s Laurellakes Mon Amour At Merryvista

Third in a very highly contested Special yearling class this lovely bitch presented in lovely silky black coat with ample furnishing made a good account of herself. She was more settled in this class both when stacked and on the move. Her coat was nicely groomed, and she was handled to perfection. Of decent construction thought-out , nicely angulated and has a very pleasing head. Moved well with good drive. She later went on to win the Yearling Class in A.V Gundog. Well done!

2nd Smith’s Natyandion Cash

Blue roan male of two years another presented in decent coat with ample feathering. He has lovely head and his eyes give a gentle expression. Muscular neck fits neatly into his shoulders, compact body with good depth to chest and spring of rib. Covered the ground well and happy on the move

Very eye-catching black bitch. Presented a lovely compact outline whilst stood. Everything my eyes told me my hands agreed with. Easy to judge as so nicely constructed, with good angulation fore and aft. I appreciate the amount of grooming that goes in to maintaining coat like this bitch possesses. Lovely head piece with eyes framed with lashes to envy! Covered the ground well with good drive. Please to award her BOB and later G1. Made a good account of herself in the BIS ring. 

2nd Hutton-Baber’s Babtonkelpie Galley Queen JW

Quality Blue Roan bitch of nearly 2 years. Handled well and presented in luscious coat with desired amount of feathering. Pretty head with square muzzle, dark brown eyes and ears set correctly. Clean neck of good length fitted neatly into her shoulders. Straight forelegs, with good bone led down to nice feet. Decent depth to brisket and her ribs are well sprung. Firm level topline which she maintained on the move. Plenty of width to rear and strong hocks made for good driving action around the ring.

1st Proctor’s Forgespring Nobody’s Fool At Blissenbea JW

Black and white bitch of two years, shown in lovely coat and condition and was handled to perfection. Presents a very pleasing picture whilst stood, compact in body with a very feminine head and dark almond shaped eyes. Straight forelegs of good bone lead down to strong pasterns and rounded feet. She has good depth to her chest, neat at elbow and her ribs are well sprung. Clean, muscular neck flowed into good layback of shoulder. Nicely angulated both fore and aft. She covered the ground well with good footfall. Please to award her BOB. She made a good account of herself in a strong Gundog Group.

1st Proctor’s Petranella Perfick Bliss At Blissenbea

Liver and white bitch of 5 years. I judged this bitch as a youngster, so it was lovely to have the opportunity to judge her as an adult. I liked her head, eyes of desired shape and colour and correct ear set. She showed the typical expression and temperament I like in this breed. Straight forelegs with good bone and compact feet. Clean neck led into good lay of shoulder, nice length to body and well set on tail. She has bend to her stifle with good muscle tone to second thigh. She moved with drive. Pleased to award her RBOB and later the Open Class in A.V Gundog. Well done.

Lovely nine-month-old Bracco Italiano bitch, nicely balanced and handled to perfection. Orange and white coat was lovely and glossy. Pleasing in head, with ear set correct and oval eyes giving soft expression. Desired length of neck fitted well into her shoulders. Her forelegs are straight and strong. She has good depth to her chest and nicely rounded ribs. Level topline which she kept on the move. Her overall construction was very pleasing. She moved with such confidence and drive! She is such a “show girl” and never faltered, so apart from BP was pleased to award her PG1.

Two-year-old Orange Belton English Setter was presented in lovely coat and condition. I appreciated how well she was groomed. She has a very feminine head, balanced, with low set ears and eyes giving that typical soft expression. She makes a very pleasing outline. She has a clean neck of decent length which fits neatly into good lay back of shoulder. Level, short back led to decent tail set. She has plenty of depth to her chest, nicely ribbed up and clean at elbow. Good bone and muscle tone and short strong hocks. She moved well covering the ground with good footfall. Pleased to award her Best AVNSC and later G4

2nd Crisp’s Happysoul What A Feeling With Genavieve (Imp SWE)

Blue Roan American Cocker Bitch was presented in good coat with ample feathering. Pleasing in head with defined stop and rounded skull. She has dark eyes with soft expression and correct ear set. Has decent overall construction with good depth to her chest and spring of rib. She moved with confidence and drive.

American Cocker bitch of seven years. Presented in lovely black silky coat with desired amount of feathering. Pleasing head with broad muzzle, round dark expressive eyes and good earset. Slight arch to neck which fitted neatly into her shoulders. Chest of good depth and ribs well sprung. Nicely balanced with good bone and muscle. She moved well.

2nd Peebles’ Seasham Too Much Heaven JW

German Shorthaired Pointer bitch her liver-coloured coat with white ticking was of good texture. Presented a nice outline and was handled to advantage. Feminine in head, soft expression and ears hanging close to her head. Her chest is deep and ribs are well sprung. Moderate length to neck with slight arch fitted neatly into her shoulders. Has good muscle tone and bone. She moved well but needed to stride out more which the small ring did not allow.

Braque D’Auvergne, black and white bitch of seven years. Was nice to judge a breed again which I admire. A credit to her owner she has been kept in fine form. Feminine in head with dark oval eyes with a kindly expression. Nicely constructed with good angulation both fore and aft. Good bone and muscle tone. She moved well covering the ground with good stride. Best A.V Import Gundog and 3rd in A.V Gundog Veteran

Golden Retriever Bitch. Made a good account of her self in this class and was second in her breed class. Well done.

2nd Pilkington & Ellis’ Hebdene Hullaballoo At Brimbeck

Previously fourth in the breed class this gold Cocker male of eight months has a lovely head and expression. Well reared he is maturing along nicely. Just in between coats on the day. Moved with confidence.

Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel bitch was previously placed in the breed class. Lovely in head and expression. Compact in outline. Presented in lovely coat and handled nicely. Straight fore legs led down nice catlike feet. Good depth to chest and ribs well sprung and decent bend of stifle. Moved well.

Orange roan Bracco Italiano male. Pleasing in head and expression. Straight forearms with good bone. Would have liked a tad more depth to his chest, but decent spring to his rib and good bend of stifle. He moved well.

Golden retriever male of seven years was presented in such wonderful coat and condition a real credit to his owner. His head and expression made my heart melt. Soundly constructed with good bone and muscle tone. an easy dog to judge. His well-constructed front and rear angulation allowed for good forward reach and drive. He made a good account of himself in the BIS Ring. 

2nd Wilson’s Hameldowntor Music Of The Night VW

Flat coated retriever who was BOB and still showed her socks off at ten years old!
