OAKENGATES AND DISTRICT CANNINE SOCIETY OPEN SHOW 17.07.26 BULLMASTIFF I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for giving me the opportunity to judge the Bullmastiff classes at their show and the two ring stewards for keeping their ring running fluently. Numerically numbers were low, but I appreciated the quality attending. Unfortunately I had to head home before the Working Group was judged as I would normally stay and support my BOB/BPIB in their respective Groups. I therefore missed seeing my BOB taking WG3 and then WPG1 and go on to win Best Puppy in Show, which was great news to get home too. Congratulations. JUN (4,2) 1.MYERS, OPTIMUS BRIDGET JONES, 7mth old fawn bitch, oozing quality. She is so well balanced. Beautifull shaped head of correct proportions and dark eyes providing that soft expression, finished off with lovely ear set giving the desired square look from every angle. Correct bite. Lovely straight front, still needing to fill slightly in chest but has correct depth to elbows, standing on cat-like feet. Neck of ample length just created that flowing line from head to her tail down the level topline with correct tail-set, to rear quarters with ample angulation allowing for effortless movement. 2.LATTER & TURTON, MAISIE DE TERRAS LUSITANAS AT STONEGLAD (IMP PRT) 9 mth. Attractive, feminine red bitch, nice head, dark eyes and good ear placement with correct pigmentation. Ample length of neck. Nice straight front with good angulation front and rear. Moved well. Slightly longer cast and lower tail set that 1. POST GRAD (1,0) 1. MYYERS PJ & D, OPTIMUS CASEY JONES 7mth fawn male, littermate to junior winner, Stood alone but had quality in abundance Correct Length to height ratio with good angulation front and rear to allow good reach and drive. Expressive head with good ear carriage and dark eyes, broad muzzle and defined stop set on strong arched neck. Lovely straight front with good width and depth to chest for age, standing on tight feet. Firm topline with good width throughout down to a correct tail set. In super condition. Movement was free flowing, covering the large ring with ease. Pleased to award him BOB and BPIB. OPEN (3,0) 1.WILLIAMS, KIERLACEYAN EMMA JAYNE. 3 yr old Red bitch presented in lovely, condition with excellent bone. Head of correct proportions, broad muzzle and defined stop with evident chin. Strong, clean, arched neck of ample length. Straight front good width of chest. Correct cat-like feet, though in need of a manicure. Good layback of shoulder, good spring of rib and ample rear angulation and good tail set. Won the class on her overall balance and type. Actually moved better in the challenge but unfortunate to meet a quality puppy on the day. 2.LATTER’S, STONEGLAD CASANOVA. Impressive male, strong head with square skull, defined stop and muzzle of good length and width. Excellent strong bone and good width to his front though would prefer a bit more depth. Strong neck.
