My Thanks to Jacky Cutler & the Committee for the invitation to judge here & to the lovely, cheerful exhibitors, for giving me the opportunity of judging your dogs. There were some really excellent dogs present . 

Australian Shepherd Dogs

Puppy D/B 1(0) Knott. INTENZIVNI ZAZITEK FALLCAT. Red & white young man of just 7 months old, showing like a seasoned campaigner. Lovely type, well grown, with correct silhouette. Balanced in head & body. Masculine skull & muzzle, with equal proportions. Expressive, almond eyes. Well set on ears. Slight arch to neck, into well laid shoulders & good forechest. Excellent topline. Breadth in hindquarters. Moves out with good strides, parallel away & back, keeping his topline. Good texture to coat... Best Puppy & Puppy Group 2.

Limit D/B 1(0) Gibbons, Wilson & Wilson. WISPAFETE CAUSING A RIPPLE.Attractive, tri lady. Pretty head & expression. Balance in skull & muzzle. Strength in moderate length neck. Strong bone & well developed body. Good angulation in rear but pinned in coming towards. Side gait good & drive from rear. Very good texture to coat. Res BOB. 

Open D/B. 2(0) 1. Knott. ZUNI SOMEONE YOU LOVED FALLCAT JW. Merle male with good outline, showing masculinity & balance. Balanced head with moderate stop & well set on ears. Moderate length neck into well laid shoulders. Deep ribs & firm, broad loin. Excellent hindquarters with nice bend to stifle & short hocks. Moved around smoothly. BOB. 2. Gibbons, Wilson & Wilson. WISPAFETE CHASING THE ACE AT OZWAYS (AI). Male of different style & shape. Mature & well developed. Excellent shaped eyes & expression, & decent ear set. Strength in neck & body. Good spring & depth to ribs. Longer in loin than first. Situation balanced giving good, smooth movement. 

BSD Tervueren 

OpenD/B. Elliot & Brown. SEZANNE AFIRE LOVE. Male with excellent breed shape. Good length to head with parallel skull & muzzle. Chiselled foreface. Expressive eyes & well set on ears of good size & shape. Arched neck. Well marked withers, long shoulders & good length of foreleg. Square body with good depth to chest. Full coat with length to topcoat & dense undercoat. Parallel hocks. Moved out briskly.... BOB. 2. Hodgson. CH DOMBURG VETTEL MAKES A MOVE TO DDALRUS. Incredibly, this boy is 13 years old. Beautiful type, shape and bearing. Masculine with the required elegance. His head is chiselled & has really good length of muzzle. Equally angulated fore & aft. Slight signs of ageing, as he has lost a little condition in body & coat, though still has a good covering of long top coat & good undercoat. The sand in this ring didn't suit him here, but later in the big, main ring he came into his own & showed us what he could do. Res BOB, BAV Pastoral Veteran, & Res BVIS. Congratulations!

Sp Yearling D/B. 1(0) 1. Wensley. BLAMORDER STARSTRUCK BY VERSATILIS JW . Tall, red & white girl of 19 months. Very mature for age. Good balance in head, body & angulation. Wedge head. Beautiful expression from dark eyes. Tipped ears, set on well. Firm back & depth to ribs. Bend to stifles. Coat short & harsh. Moved well, with smooth strides. RES BOB.

Open D.1(0) 1. Wensley. Ch/Int/Multi Ch CONSTELLA HAZY COSMIC JIVE JW. Mature tri male of 5 yrs. Very good type, though I would prefer him a little more masculine overall. Excellent parallel skull & muzzle. Good eye & ear shape. Excellent neck, with good arch. Balance in angulation fore & aft. Decent bend to stifles. Tight fitting coat with undercoat. Moved well.strides

Open B. 2 (1) 1. Benton. Ch BLAMORDER DOUBLE OR QUITE OF OAKSTELLE JW. Beautiful, feminine 2 yr old merle. Ticks all the boxes for type, silhouette & balance. Lovely, clean, blunted, wedge head with parallel skull & muzzle with slight, mid point stop. Well placed, expressive dark eyes. Good length of neck into long, well laid back .shoulders. Deep ribs. Firm back & loins, with slight rise over loin. Well bent stifles. Close fitting, harsh coat. Moved extremely well, with smooth, driving, light action. BOB & Group 2 .  

BMD

OpenD/B 1(0) 1. Connelly. TICKBERN JACKELBERRY. Good looking boy with bright markings on good quality coat. Well developed body & ample bone. Balanced masculine head. Broad skull, deep muzzle, wide underjaw. Strength through neck into good front & deep well sprung ribcage. Firm loin. Broad rump & wide thighs. Moved soundly, with good reach & drive. BOB

Newfoundland

Limit D/B. 2(1) 1. Moore & James. STARNEWF MR DARK SKY JW. Love this young male. He still has some maturing to do at just over 2 yrs but he already has great type, bone & substance. Masculine head with broad, slightly arched skull & deep, square muzzle. Clean, dark, expressive eyes. Strong neck into well laid shoulders & good return of upper arm. Chest has depth & ribs, whilst still maturing, have enough spring. Broad back & croup. Well developed hindquarters with good length to muscled thighs. Tight feet. Framed in a super condition, dense, double coat. Very good reach & drive, covering plenty of ground effortlessly. BOB.

Siberian Husky

Puppy D/B. 4(1) 1. Simms. ARCTICSKIES WOO WOO. Upstanding, 7 months grey & white male of very good type. Mature for his age. Good balanced outline with decent fore leg length. Head is masculine whilst chiselled & fox like. Equal skull & muzzle length. Correctly placed dark, almond shaped eyes. Ears set on high, of good size & shape. Excellent, arched neck. Firm through athletic body & loin. Hindquarters well muscled & good bend to stifle. Parrallel, low hocks. Excellent, double coat with harsh guard hairs & dense, fine undercoat. Moved briskly, covering ground smoothly & effortlessly. Best Puppy, Res BOB, Puppy Group 1, Res BPIS. Congratulations. 2. Wells. ARCTICSKIES TIA MARIA. Litter sister to first but nowhere near as mature. However, she has many of the same attributes. She pushed her brother hard. So feminine, lovely type and the most appealing head & expression. Arched neck. Good depth to body. Excellent hindquarters. She just needs to settle on the move and show herself off. 3. Simms. SEAQUALINA PINA COLADA. 

Sp Yearling D/B. 4(2). 1. Samuels. CLEHATRO AT BIG BANG AT HAZYLIGHTS. 13 months, red male. Masculine, well grown. Strong head with balanced skull & muzzle. Good eye and ear shape. Good length of neck into super front. Needs to firm up in topline. Very good hindquarters with well bent stifles. Excellent double coat. Moved very well. 2. Samuels. CLEHATRO PSYCHIC VORTEX AT HAZYLIGHTS. Litter sister to first. Grey & white of good type. Similar to her brother for body etc. Lovely feminine, well proportioned head with super pigment. Really good coat with excellent guard hairs & fine dense undercoat. Moved well.

Limit D/B 2(1) 1. Samuels. WINTERMELODY NOT THAT DRAMATIC AT HAZYLIGHTS (IMP Pol). Feminine grey & white lady of 19 months. Very good type, though I would prefer a little more length of fore leg. Balanced, foxy head with lovely expression. Dark pigment. Strong bite. Excellent neck, flowing into firm topline. Ribs deep & sprung. Good turn of stifle. Moved very well.

Open D/B. 4 (1) 1. Samuels. WINTERMELODY BIT TOO DRAMATIC AT HAZYLIGHTS (IMP Pol) Attractive 2 years, red & white female of lovely type. Balanced & well angulated. Feminine, chiselled, foxy head with well set eyes & ears, giving super expression. Neck flows seamlessly into firm topline. Strength in front. Deep ribs. Muscled thighs & good bend to stifle. She could have a shade more length in fore leg. Nevertheless, a beautiful girl that moved with plenty of reach & drive, smoothly & effortlessly, maintaining her shape. Well deserved BOB, Group 3. 2. Simms. SEQUALINA ECHO OF LIGHT AT ARCTICSKIES JW. 2 yrs, grey & white male of very good type & outline. Balanced head, but could be more masculine. Good eyes & ear set. Well developed in body & hindquarters. Moved briskly, with enough reach & drive. 3. Samuels. LYFEARON HAVE I GONE MAD AT HAZYLIGHTS. 

AVNSC Pastoral.

Puppy 2(1). Mann. VANDREEM IMPERIAL LINKEN JW . Striking male Samoyed of 11 months. Strength in build & well grown. Excellent, masculine head with correct ear set & dark eyes. Black pigment. Strong neck into good front & broad, well ribbed body. Balanced all through .Used his hindquarters well to move with good reach & drive, smoothly around. Abundant, quality coat of correct texture. Best Puppy Pastoral AVNSC. Puppy Group 1.

Sp Yearling. 3(1) 1. Stevens. SURFSTONE SUMMER SOLSTICE OVER ASHVENS. GSD lady with excellent balance & proportions. Good strength in bone & body. Well modelled feminine head . Excellent neck & shoulder. Deep brisket, strength through loin. Long, firm topline & well bent stifles with muscled thighs. Moved around showing excellent reach and power from rear. BAVNSC Pastoral. 2. McGreade. VANDREEM IMPERIAL OCEAN FOR FROSTIA JW. Samoyed lady, showing lovely type. Feminine with good body proportions. Lovely head shape, ear set & black pigment. Eyes were rather small. Balanced angulation front & rear. Developed in ribs. Abundant coat of correct texture. Unfortunately not moving as her conformation would suggest. Only producing quite short choppy steps. The soft sand ring perhaps hampered her. Res Best AVNSC Pastoral. 

Pastoral Group.

Bearded Collie… POTTERDALE PRIME ROSE JW…Beautiful lady in outline & conformation. Excellent type & strong, but feminine head with lovely expression. Super coat, with correct harshness. Moved out smoothly, covering the ground easily.

Smooth Collie… CH BLAMORDER DOUBLE OR QUITE OF OAKSTELLE JW.. Another quality lady of super breed type. Harmony in outline. Lovely head. Moved out with such ease, reach & drive.

OES… MAKAYLEN SAVANNA PEARL.. Completing the trio of beautiful females. Lovely breed type. Melting expression. Arched neck. Cobby, feminine and covered in a quality, profuse, harsh coat. Showed good drive.

Swedish Vallhund… VALLHOLLOW BORN IN THE USA ST FOR ROSCO (IMP USA) All male, sturdy & excellent conformation. Masculine, blunt wedge head. Powerful in neck, shoulders & broad hindquarters. Moved precisely.

Pastoral Puppy Group

Samoyed… VANDREEM IMPERIAL LINKEN JW… Showed & moved beautifully to head a very strong group of puppies.

ASD… INTENZIVNI ZAZITEC FALLCAT… Eye-catching boy. Moved round the ring so well.

OES… MEADOWBEARS MASTER OF MAGIC… masculine & typy, with good body & harsh coat

Swedish Vallhund…DANGA'S TINDRA GIMLIDOTTER AT FORVANA… Lovely feminine wedge head on sturdy well shaped body. 

A/V Pastoral Veteran. 12(2) 1. Hodgson. CH DOMBURG MAKES A MOVE TO DDALRUS. Tervueren. Absolutely amazing for 13 years old! Masculine with elegance. Really came into his own, in this big, main hall ring, as earlier didn’t do well on the deep sand. Flowed around this ring, showing style & precision. Thrilled to see him win ResBVIS. 2. Rutterford. KELGROVE MIDSUMMER BLUE AT STORMHEAD VW. Shetland Sheepdog male of 8 years. Very good breed shape with chiselled, refined head. Abundant mane & coat. 3. Day, Lampen & Wilson. CH STARVON BINIT SINIT DUNIT WITH KIRKHOLME. Swedish Vallhund.

A/V Open Stakes. 40 (18) 1. Tydeman & Wright. JOBEILE DREAM SPARKLER AT TARTANMOPS. Super Pug, with excellent balance, lovely head & cobby body. Showed her socks off & moved out confidently, showing excellent steady gait. 2. Wallis. DANDO GUERRA DEL BADULAKE WITH WALLENSIS (IMP ESP) Smart, white, Mini Schnauzer. Elegance & strength in compact body. Lean head. Arched neck. Firm topline. Harsh coat texture. 3.Osbourne. DEROCHAISE VINCENZO DI BRAEGO. Wirehaired Dachshund.
