RETRIEVER (FLAT COATED)

PUPPY (1,0)

1st FLATCHARM MR POTATO HEAD (MRS J A & MR S WOODHAMS) 11 month old boy with lots of confidence on the move and is well boned throughout. He holds a lovely expression with well set on ears and a good reach of neck. He has enough forechest with straight forelegs, but would like a little angulation in fore. Well ribbed and good width to hindquarters, really bright & active on the move. BP & RBOB.

SPECIAL YEARLING (3,1)

1st CLANDRIFT FUNKY ANGEL (MRS V BOWEN) pretty 17 month old girl who is fairly balanced and moved well today. Really lovely head, moulded well and feminine. She holds dark eye and a good shape. Clean neck into shoulders with lovely angles fore and rear, a fraction narrow in front, but she is well ribbed and her loin is short and muscled with a decent width to quarters. Handled beautifully. 

2nd CLANDRIFT MAKE IT FUNNT JW (MRS V BOWEN) litter brother to winner who unfortunately didn’t excel on movement today and is out of coat, but he carries a nicely moulded head with dark eye and a kind expression. I’d like a touch more lay back in shoulders, but has enough forechest and straight forelegs. He holds good angles in rear and has well let down hocks. 

POST GRADUATE (3,1) 

1st GEMSWIN HONESTY AT CANDILIZ (MRS C MERRIMAN) 2 year old bitch, who’s topline I much preferred. She’s elegant and well bodied. Pretty in head with dark eye and good reach of neck. She has a decent front with straight forelegs and is well ribbed, clean in topline and enough width in quarters.

1st KULAWAND CASANOVA (MRS J A & MR S WOODHAMS) nice quality dog who is balanced and well bodied. Moulded well in head, skull flat with dark eye. He is clean in neck which blended well into shoulders, a super topline and decent croup. He carries excellent angles throughout with good ribbing and lots of depth in chest which shows plenty of heart & lung room. Good width to quarters and well let down hocks, he has a lovely flat coat. Excels in movement, free flowing mover who’s bright and active. BOB & BIS, many congratulations. 

2nd HIGHTYNE FLY ME TO THE MOON (MRS E SLADE) 7 year old dog who is in good coat and condition. I’d like more work in his head, but eyes of good colour. He has straight forelegs and enough ribbing with plenty of rear angulation and correct coupling. A little steep in croup, but well down hocks and correct shaped feet. Moved okay.

PUPPY (3,0)

1st COVARNEY MIGHTY QUINN WITH STOURFORD (MR W G & A C NEEDS) 8 month old dog with a really beautiful shape and type to him who is full of mischief! He holds a kind expression with lovely raised brows and low set ears, eye of good colour and shape. He carries enough neck into decent front angles with straight forelegs and very good depth to chest already. He owns the most super topline, it’s clean and gently sloping with a decent croup. Well muscled loin and rear, quarters of good width and stifle starting to show angles. Holds tidy feet and presented in thick luscious coat. Once he settles for his handler, he moves out with enough drive and presents a lovely side gait, carrying his tail well. Wish him all the best for the future, BP.

2nd HEATHCLARE FABERGE (MISS C J PRANGLE) 11 month old bitch who has got herself together nicely on the stack and move. Nice colour to eye and low set ears with lovely brows and a pretty expression. She has good reach of neck and straight forelegs. Excellent ribbing and depth of chest coming together, she has good width to thigh and tidy feet. She moved out well with lovely head carriage.

1st IXIA THE LOVECATS (H K BOUTTELL & J A BURBRIDGE) pretty girl of 18 months who is very elegant throughout and balanced. Feminine in head, kind eye and good work through chiselling. She has the most loviest low set ears and raised brows. Good reach of neck into a decent topline with plently of ribbing and good angles. Well let down hocks and lots of lush coat. A lovely mover with clean action and a lashing tail. 

2nd FAIRHAVEN YOUNG SOUL FOR KONAKAKELA JW (IMP SWE) (MRS P HARRIS) 23 month old dog who is presented in plenty of dark coat. He’s masculine in head with correct unshelled almond eyes of good colour, I’d like more refinement in head, but has lovely low set ears. Straight forelegs, plenty of depth to chest and good spring of rib. An animated mover with a lashing tail. Preferred head and shape of winner.

 POST GRADUATE (6,1)

1st CLONAGEERA SUMMER MAGIC JW (MRS J A ROGERS) this girl is nicely balanced and racy throughout, she took my eye immediately. She has lovely low set ears and a dark eye leading into a clean and well arched neck, which blends super into her shoulders and topline. She excels in lay of shoulder and has enough upper arm with a lovely well made front which gave her the edge in her class today. Plently of ribbing and muscled in loin. Moved well around the ring.

2nd RIVERBRUE PIXIE (MS J E EVANS) really pretty girl who owns a beautiful head and excels in movement. Refined in head, correct dark eye, oval skull, and excellent low set ears. She has good reach of neck and lay of shoulder with plenty of depth in chest. Her rear is well made with good first & second thigh and tidy feet. She is very striking on the move, showing plenty of drive and brilliant head carriage.

1st RIVERBRUE GALLIANO FIZZ TO CLONAGEERA JW what an impressive dog he is. At nearly 9 years of age and he is in tip top condition and full of quality. I absolutely adored his head. He owns the prettiest of heads with plenty of chiselling, dark eye, oval in skull and has low set ears. His arched neck flowed into his topline with pleasing angles fore and rear. He’s deep in chest and has excellent spring of rib, muscled in loin and super width to quarters. Well let down in hocks and correct tight feet, still holds strong muscle throughout and easily the tidiest mover of the day. He moves with such precision and drive while showing such presence. Was delighted to award him BOB, one special dog. 

2nd QUENSHA THINKING OUT LOUD AT BRANSETT JW a dog who is presented in lovely condition, plenty of coat and muscle. Would like a little more work in head, but he has dark eye, lovely low set ears and a pronounced occiput. He owns super depth to chest, super spring of rib and straight forelegs. He has excellent muscle in rear with enough angles and well let down hocks. Once he settled for his handler, he moved out lovely with drive and a lashing tail. preferred winners lay of shoulder and reach in neck. RBOB.

1st TOWNS BRACCORION EXCUSE MY FRENCH 6 month old who is balanced and looking promising. Correct set ears, cheeks lean and median line present in skull. Enough neck with good upper arm and a nice front. Almost square in body with straight forelegs and a correct topline and croup. Still getting use to moving in the ring, but shows plently of drive. 

SPECIAL YEARLING (3,1)

1st COGHLAN’S ABSOLUTE DRAMA this boy is looking fab for only 10 months! Plenty of muscle and bone. Super width between foreface, good work in head and dark eye. Good reach of neck with straight forelegs and deep through chest. Enough upper arm and plenty spring of rib. Super angled quarters with good width, muscled in loin, and well let down hocks. Moved with such power and reach. BP & BPIS, big congratulations!

2nd TOWNS BRACCORIONS DRAMA DOT COM rangier than my winner, but showing good angles throughout. Really balanced in head with a soft expression, correct width between foreface, and pronounced median line. Plenty of reach in neck with good lay of shoulder and straight forelegs. Good topline and croup, nice angles in rear and moved well.

Really struggled with this class as these are three super bitches with plenty of quality. I was spoilt for choice!

1st COGHLAN’S SH CH BRACCORION’S VA VA VOOM JW I’ve always admired this beautiful girl, so much quality and screams balance throughout. Soft expression with correct eye colour, lean in head with plenty of chiselling. Good reach in neck with plently of upper arm and nice lay of shoulder, super depth in chest and excellent spring of rib. Muscled in loin and almost square in body, good angles in rear with hard muscle and well let down hocks. She moves with power and shows a super side gait. Was delighted to award her BOB. 

2nd TOWNS BRACCORIONS YOU ARE MY CANDY a more compact bitch who really excels in movement. Eye of good colour and correct set ears. Enough neck with good upper arm, super spring of rib and a decent topline. I’d like a tad more length in body, but she has plently of angles in rear and good muscle throughout. She is well let down in hocks and has tidy feet, moves super with plenty of reach and drive, showing a breed typical gait. RBOB. 

3rd CRITCHLEY’S SH CH BRACCORIONS NEVER SAY NEVER JW another beautiful example, a bitch who’s shape I loved. She’s balanced and feminine in head with dark eye and a powerful neck. Super front angles and good ribbing with correct topline and croup. Pushed 2nd hard, but just lacked animation on the move today.
