Super head with defined characteristic dish, eyes well set with good colour and shape. Well laid-back shoulders standing over a good front. Excellent well sprung ribs and super hindquarters, well-muscled which he used to good effect on the move. BOB, BPIB + GPG2 2nd Udale’s Crookrise Tilly. 8-month-old liver and white bitch. Very typical in head, ultra feminine. Presented a very balanced picture on the stand. Was very sound on the move using her tail to good effect. Graduate 1 (2) 1st Bush’s Piasharn Anne Bonny. Good skull with a well-defined stop, eyes of good shape and colour, giving a pleasing expression. Nicely balanced front, good rib and loin. Good strong hindquarters with which she covered the ring with ease. Open (4) 1st Mason’s Morgan Van Freebreeze. A lovely balanced O/W bitch presented a very typical head, elegant with gentle expression. Excellent well laid-back shoulders good topline into muscular loin. Very sound on the move. 2nd Bush’s Piasharn Breaking The Law O/W bitch with a lovely feminine head, good skull shape and nice dark eye. Super layback of shoulders and correct topline. Good rear angulation moved OK but would have benefitted from a larger ring. 3rd Bush’s Piasharn Rocka Rolla BRACCO ITALIANO Graduate 1 1st Newman-Jones’ Olympus Il Mio Elio Del Sole Haunsperg. Good head proportions, very masculine with good eye shape and colour. Excellent bone. Broad chest with well sprung ribs. Strong hindquarters with a good bend of stifle. Presented a balanced picture on the move. BOB Open 1 (2) 1st Fazenfield and Smith’s Owlspoint Askin for Trouble. Masculine dog, powerful in outline, good bone and overall construction. Head typical with good eye shape and colour. Good deep well sprung ribs and good topline. Well defined rear angulation but a little untidy on the move when coming towards me. WELSH SPRINGERS Graduate 1 (2) 1st Bennion’s Menstonia Endless Dreams JW. Well developed masculine head with excellent eye shape and colour. Correct earset. Good deep brisket with good ribs and loin, good rear angulation. Super coat and colour presented to perfection. BOB and GG4. GOLDEN RETRIEVER Puppy 4 1st Nelson’s Cadwst Eternal Ember. Lovely balanced feminine head, good skull shape, giving a gentle expression. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders, excellent front. Balanced topline and good rear angulation. Very true and sound on the move. BPIB 2nd Evans’ Shebelta Play Misty for Me. Another quality puppy with a refined feminine head, excellent layback of shoulders, good topline. Just lost out to the winner on movement today. Lovely puppy with lots of promise. Graduate 2 1st Evans’ Mardargold Razzle Dazzle. Presented a lovely balanced outline. Good layback of shoulders, excellent bone. Feminine in head with a beautiful dark eye. Very sound on the move. 2nd Mason’s Mardargold Too Cute to Spook. Similar in type to 1, feminine throughout. Good depth of rib and level topline. Moved soundly. Open 3 (4) 1st Nelson’s Willowlawn Staycation at Cadwst. Quality bitch throughout. Excelled in head, totally balanced and well chiselled. Good eye shape and colour, excellent layback of shoulders. Correct bone with a well-balanced topline. Really excelled on the move with good drive and purpose. BOB and GG3. 2nd Phillips’ Shebelta Sweet Soul Music JW. A well-balanced dog, masculine in head. Good neck and shoulders, lovely deep ribs and rear angulation. Moved soundly. 3rd Mason’s Mardargold Too Cute to Spook GERMAN SHORTHAIRED POINTER Graduate 3 (4) 1st Hill’s Orchidstar Ruby Sunday. Just out of puppy, very typical in head, good eye shape and earset. In profile, a very well-balanced bitch with excellent neck and shoulders. Good level topline and rear angulation. She really excels on the move; her movement today won her BOB and GG2. I am sure she is destined for high honours. 2nd Brown’s Montalba Mustrum Ridcully JW. Masculine boy throughout. Good depth of ribs, strong muscular loin. Rear angulation good with a nice turn of stifle. Moved soundly. Open 4 1st Brown’s Montalba Miss Aching. Another quality bitch, very typical in head with good skull shape and earset. Presents a well-balanced picture with good neck and shoulders. Excellent breed type, well balanced throughout. Stands over a good front, excellent topline and tailset. Feminine in head with no coarseness and correct skull shape. Moved soundly. Feminine in head with good skull shape, eye shape and colour. Good front and rear angulation, super level topline with good tailset, used her rudder to good effect on the move. Well sprung ribs and loin. Moved with purpose. 3rd Scrimgeour’s Velvetine Highland Mist. Open 4 (6) 1st Smith’s Flyenpig Jurgen Chopp JW. 2 ½ year old dog. Well balanced masculine head, good eye shape and colour. Another who is balanced with no coarseness. Good front and rear angulation with lovely compact feet. Very sound on the move, using his well-muscled hindquarters to good effect. BOB 2nd Stewart’s Timouron Sign of the Times 3rd Robinson and Burrow’s Flyenpig Amy Swinehouse FLAT COATED RETRIEVER Graduate (2) 1st Whitaker’s Touch of Power Black Brianta. 14 month old bitch with a very typical head, good skull shape with good eye colour and shape. Stands over a good front with a firm level topline. Very sound on the move, good fore and aft. BOB 2nd Whitaker’s Jetstarski Run Like Hell JW. Also, very typical head, good neck and shoulders and well balanced throughout. Just preferred the movement of 1st today. COCKER SPANIEL Puppy 2 1st Watson’s Quettadene Stars on High Over Bordacity. Super black puppy dog with a classic Cocker head with good skull shape and chiselling. Presents a very well-balanced compact profile with a good topline. Excellent rear angulation. Mover very positively for a youngster. 2nd Shinkfield and Lester’s Quettadene Festive Star. Litter sister to 1st and very similar remarks apply to her as with her brother. Super feminine head and very similar in construction. Not quite as positive on the move as her brother today but very promising. Open 1 (2) 1st Watson’s Quettadene Stars Aligned Over Bordacity JW. 2 ½ year old dog, my star of the show. Absolutely typical with a well-balanced head. Well chiselled, with an alert gentle expression. Totally balanced throughout with excellent layback of shoulders. Compact in body just as Cocker should be. Covered the ground with ease. Delighted to award him GG1 and was great to see him go on to be BIS. FIELD SPANIEL Puppy 1 1st Holgate’s Nadavin Ailsa. 7-month-old liver bitch. Sweet headed bitch with good eye shape and colour. Good neck and shoulders standing over a level topline. Correct rear angulation, moved out soundly. BPIB + GPG3 Open 2 (5) 1st Shipton’s Bel Ch Broomeece Fire Cracker Over Mishules. Mature black dog with a typical masculine head, well balanced throughout with excellent skull, eye shape and colour and well set ears. Good bone, well sprung ribs and good firm topline. Moved very soundly. BOB 2nd Shipton’s Bel Ch Heartwood Mishules All is Possible With Calico. Black and tan bitch with a well-balanced head, good layback of shoulders. Excellent bone and rib structure. A little unsettled on the move today. AVNSC GUNDOG Puppy 4 (5) 1st Mcgrory’s Javal Same Old Scene With Fuoriditesta. 11-month-old orange and white Italian Spinone. Excels in head type presenting a typical lean skull with good depth of muzzle. Good eye colour and shape with a gentle expression. Well balanced throughout with good spring of ribs. Excellent rear angulation and covered the ground well. BP and GPG4 2nd Rigby’s Glaneils Enjoy the Silence. 10-month-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Good broad skull presenting a balanced masculine head. Excellent depth of body with well sprung ribs. Adequate bone. Super coat colour and texture. Moved soundly. 3rd West’s Gunalt Reverence Graduate 2 (4) 1st Mcknight’s Hundwith Material Girl. A two-year-old Weimaraner. Excelled in head type with a balanced skull to foreface, ears well set on. Good neck and shoulders. Well sprung ribs with a level topline. Good turn of stifle, very sound on the move. 2nd McGrory’s Javal Same Old Scene With Fuoriditesta Open 4 (7) 1st Malin’s Kenzduo Deeply Dallas. 4-year-old Hungarian Vizsla. Excellent head type, balanced skull to foreface. Good eye colour and shape. Good length of body with well laid-back shoulders. Level back with good tailset. Moved out very soundly. Very sound on the move. 3rd Broomfield’s Sh Ch Glaneils Count On Me VETERAN 4 (5) 1st Malin’s Sh Ch Keigame Murphlette at Benrae. 10 year old GSP. Feminine in head with good eye shape and ear set. She stands over an excellent front with well laid-back shoulders. Good spring of rib and firm topline. She really excels on the move and belies her age.
