1st - Stevenson’s Peregos Lone Ranger - 22 month old Catalan Sheepdog. Handsome male of good shape and outline. Balanced and proportionate being slightly longer than high but not overly long. Strong head with noble expression, slight stop, straight muzzle of good length and strength. Round, expressive eyes of good set and colour. Triangular ears with good fringing and correct set. Correct amount of neck into a sound front assembly. Strong, sturdy body with well sprung ribs carried well back, muscular loin and a level topline held at all times. Muscular hindquarters with angulation matching that of his fore. Double dew-claws evident. Tail set well, just a little too proud of it on the move. Well coated. Moved soundly from all angles. Best AVNSC
2nd - Thomson & Foster’s Fostebrie Just Finesse - 20 month old female Briard. Oh what a bouncy girl! Giving her handler a very hard time today which made assessing her challenging. Feminine head, slightly rounded skull, square muzzle of good strength and length, well pigmented, black nose. Eyes well set in her pretty face, of good colour and with a glint of mischief. Enough neck into a sound front assembly. Forelegs straight and of good bone, enough depth to chest. Solid body, well sprung ribs, perhaps just carrying a little more weight than ideal. Enough angulation to hindquarters. Good dry, wavy coat. Moved ok when settled.

1st - Stevenson’s Moasdileas Hen Broon - 5 year old Catalan Sheepdog male of good size. Masculine head of good proportions, strong with good muzzle, slight stop and pronounced occiput. Expressive dark eyes with well pigmented eye rims giving intelligent expression. Ears of good set, shape and size. Would like a shade more neck, well boned forelegs and good depth of chest. Muscular body with well sprung ribs and a short, muscular loin. Hindquarters of moderate angles. Good double dew claws. Hind movement could be more positive but moved in a co-ordinated manner in profile.
Bearded Collie Graduate
1st - Ballantyne’s Potterdale Prime n Proper for Bustroc - Fell in love with this gorgeous young bitch. Such a balanced outline, elegant and feminine. Although young, she is well bodied and has good muscle tone throughout. Gorgeous head. Broad, flat skull, square in appearance, strong muzzle of good length. Well pigmented nose, lips and eye rims. Expressive eyes of correct set, shape and colour giving kind, soft expression. Good earset. Neck of good length with slight arch, flowing smoothly into well laid shoulders. Straight forelegs of quality bone and covered with good hair. Chest well developed, sturdy, muscular body, ribs well sprung and carried well back, short, strong loin. Good length to body, totally balanced and proportionate, plenty of daylight under a correct coat. Hindquarters muscular with good width to thighs, well angulated with good bend to stifles and low set parallel hocks. Tail set low with ideal carriage on move. Floated around the ring with effortless strides holding a level topline at all times. Could not be denied BOB and Group 1 in today’s competition. Will watch her progress with interest.
2nd Ryan’s Gallus Midas Touch Into Razkal JW - A lovely brown youngster who I have admired and placed well previously. He still does not disappoint and was just very unlucky to meet 1st on such good form today. He has many appealing qualities. Square, broad, flat skull, good length to a strong muzzle, correctly pigmented for his colour. Expressive, kind, bright eyes giving soft expression and harmonising with his coat colour. Reachy neck with slight arch fitting into a sound front assembly. Forelegs straight with good bone, well developed chest. Proportionate body of good length from well sprung ribs, muscular, strong loin and a level topline kept at all times. Well muscled hindquarters with well developed thighs. Good angulation. Tais set low with good carriage. Coat of good texture presented in excellent condition. Another good mover who covered a lot of ground with long-reaching strides.
Bearded Collie Open
1st - Moir’s Ch Winaria Welliington JW - Quality male and a very worthy champion. 4 years old. Balanced outline and of good size and substance. Handsome, well balanced head, flat, broad skull with square appearance, moderate stop, strong muzzle of good length. Well pigmented nose, lips and eye rims. Eyes well sized, set well apart and toning with his colour giving a soft, appealing expression. Ears well set. A good amount of neck fits seamlessly into well laid shoulders, forelegs are straight and strong covered with a good amount of hair. Good depth of chest. Body of correct length, being slightly longer than high, level topline, well sprung ribs carried well back to a muscular loin. Hindquarters strong and sound with good muscle tone, well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. Good tail set and carriage. Coat of correct texture, well groomed and with plenty of daylight under his body. Comes alive on the move with such typical sound movement and carriage. A tough decision in the challenge for BOB, just preferred the youngster’s expression.
2nd - Gibb’s Debbeacol Devil In Disguise at Pirateer - Finer throughout. A nice exhibit who is of good size and presents a pleasing shape. Proportionate head, broad, flat skull. Muzzle of good length, squarish, well pigmented nose, lips and eye rims, harmonising with coat colour. Kind eyes of correct size, shape and set. Good ear set. Nice amount of neck fitting into a sound front assembly. Straight forelegs of quality bone. Good depth of chest, well bodied throughout with good spring of rib and strong loin. Level topline kept at all times. Hindquarters well muscled and matching angles of his fore. Well presented coat of good length and texture. Correct tailset and carriage. Moved typically and soundly.

1st - White’s Dajarls Glittering Prize - 3 year old male who grew in confidence the more he showed. Good size, shape and substance. Wedge shaped head with flat skull. Well rounded muzzle, cheeks flat, slight stop. Well pigmented nose, lips and eye rims. Obliquely set dark eyes of almond shape giving alert, sweet expression. Small, neat ears well set. Nice amount of neck into a sound front assembly, tight elbows, forelegs straight and of good bone, not too fine. Proportionate body with good depth to chest, well sprung ribs carried well back, strong loin with slightly sloping croup. Muscular hindquarters with angles matching that of his forequarters. Low set tail of correct carriage. Well coated. Moved well. BOB

1st - Shaw’s Bramblecroft Reeba at Bluequarry VW - A lovely 8 year old bitch in brilliant condition - a credit to her owners. Preferred her head & eye over 2nd. On first glance she is of correct size and has a lovely, balanced outline. Her head is feminine with a sweet expression. Wedge shaped head, well refined, flat skull with good width between ears, muzzle of good length, well rounded with flat cheeks. Dark, expressive eyes, almond shape and obliquely set. Neat ears, well tipped. Good reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulders. A little wide in front and slightly out at elbow. Forelegs straight and of quality bone. Proportionate body, being slightly longer than tall, well sprung ribs carried well back. Well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. In lovely coat and condition. Low set tail, carried correctly on the move. Tidy profile movement.
2nd - White’s Shellamoyed Black Lace - 5 year old tricolour bitch of good shape and size presenting a good outline. Pretty head of good proportions, flat skull, wedge shaped head, slight stop and a muzzle of good length, cheeks flat. Well pigmented. Eyes slightly rounder than ideal but of good size and set. Neat ears which she used well. Good reach of neck fitting into a sound front assembly. Well bodied with ribs well sprung and carried well back, strong loin with gently sloping croup to a low set tail. Hindquarters well muscled with angulation matching that of her forequarters. A little out of coat today. Moved soundly.

1st - Manson’s Calwinii’s Aqua Bloom - Feminine bitch who presented a balanced outline. Low set and well sized with good substance. Proportionate head with good width to a flat skull, correct amount of stop, tapering muzzle of good length and strength. Round, expressive eyes harmonising with coat colour. Well sized, firm ears, pricked with slight rounding. Good reach to neck fitting into well laid shoulders, good chest, forelegs short and of quality bone. Ribs well sprung and carried well back to a muscular loin. Hindquarters strong and sound with well bent stifles and parallel hocks. Correct tail set and carriage. Moved well. BOB
2nd - Abraham’s Twinan Rock The Beat at Sirahdis - Really liked this young bitch who just lost out to 1st on maturity. She and her handler were a little rushed into the ring so she was a little unsettled, however, as the class went on she collected herself and put on a good performance. Good type with a balanced outline, plenty of substance and of correct size. Feminine head, well balanced with good skull to muzzle ratio. Round, brown eyes, well set in her skull, alert and expressive. Pricked ears, good size and set. A good reach of neck flows smoothly into a sound front assembly. Chest developing well. Solid, sturdy body of good length coming from well sprung ribs. Level topline. Hindquarters strong and sound. Another good mover.

1st - Kempton’s Borderbrook Special Dream JW - 11 month old bitch who is lovely for shape, make and size. Well balanced throughout with an exquisite head and expression. Skull slightly broad, strong muzzle of good length, tapering gently to black nose. Expressive eyes, dark brown, oval in shape and well set in her pretty face. Ears of correct shape, set and size which she used well. Nice reach of neck flowing seamlessly into well laid shoulders, straight forelegs of quality bone. Chest and body developing well for age. Well sprung ribs, strong loin. Sound hindquarters with correct angulation. Moved well from all angles.
2nd - Walker’s Penduffie Angel Of My Dreams - 13 month old bitch. Another good exhibit who presents a balanced outline. Feminine head, broad skull, strong, well tapered muzzle of good length. Alert, keen expression, dark eyes well set, oval and of good size. Enough neck into moderate lay of shoulder. Good body proportions, well sprung ribs carried well back, level topline kept at all times. Hindquarters muscular with angulation matching that of her fore. Moved typically just not quite the reach and drive of 1st.

1st - Kempton’s Art Of Blossom Drowned In Emotion Into Borderbrook JW ShCEx OSW - Eyecatching, upstanding male of 2 years old. Striking outline, well balanced and presented and handled to get the best out of him. Balanced, handsome head, fairly broad skull, equal head planes with strong, tapered muzzle. Eyes well spaced apart, oval and dark giving alert, intelligent expression. Ears well set of good shape and size which he used well. Arched neck of good length into a sound front assembly. Forelegs straight and of quality bone. Good depth of chest, ribs well sprung and carried well back, level topline. Muscular hindquarters with good bend to stifles and low set parallel hocks. Good tail set and carriage. Well fitted coat of correct texture presented well. Moved freely from all angles with good reach and drive BOB & Group 2
2nd Walker’s Ravenskirk Pretty In Pink - 4 year old bitch who is well balanced and is of correct size. Athletic appearance. Feminine head and expression, head of good proportions, equal planes, correct amount of stop, tapering, strong muzzle to a well pigmented black nose. Expressive eyes, dark, oval and well set. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders. Straight forelegs, nice depth to chest. Slightly longer than high without being overly long, well sprung ribs, muscular loin. Hindquarters strong and sound with correct angulation. Moved well from all angles.

He has a handsome head and expression with a proportionate head, flat skull of good width and length, muzzle strong and slightly tapered. Expressive eyes, almond, dark brown and well set. Nice length to his muscular neck into well laid shoulders. Good depth of chest. Well sprung ribs, short loin, level topline. Hindquarters matching angles of fore. Moved well.

1st - Clark Kerr’s Salsina Love Me Do for Whitecraigs - 22 month old sable & white bitch who has the sweetest of expressions. Well balanced, of good size with clean outline. Wedge shaped head, flat skull, clean, equal head planes with slight stop, muzzle well rounded with strong underjaw. Almond shaped, obliquely set dark eye of good size. Small, well tipped ears well placed on her skull. Nice reach of neck, well arched and fitting harmoniously into well laid shoulders. Forelegs straight and of quality bone. Proportionate body of good length, well sprung ribs carried well back to a strong loin. Slight rise over loin. Hindquarters sound with well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. Moved well from all angles.
2nd - Gee’s Ingledene So Tried To Be Blu - 4 year old tricolour bitch who is of good size and substance. She presents a nice outline and moves well. Flat skull, wedge shaped head, clean, muzzle of good length, slight stop defining equal head planes. Dark eyes, almond in shape and set obliquely. Ears could be slightly closer together. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders. Straight forelegs of round bone. Muscular body of good length coming from well sprung ribs, slight rise over loin. Hindquarters matching angles of fore. Moved well in profile, just a little close behind.

1st - Mitchell’s Avonfair Aloysius JW - 2 year old sable male who I judged as a puppy. It is lovely to see how he has matured. Upstanding and well presented. Balanced outline. Well moulded head of good wedge shape, flat skull, equal head planes, slight stop and a well-rounded muzzle with strong underjaw. Eyes almond in shape, set obliquely, dark and giving sweet expression. Neat ears, well set and tipped. Good reach of neck into a sound front assembly. Straight forelegs of quality bone. Good depth of chest. Correct length to a muscular body, well ribbed, short strong loin with good rise. Hindquarters well angulated with good bend to stifles and low set parallel hocks. Well coated, harsh and long but not obscuring his overall shape. Tail of good set and carriage. Moved soundly.

Body of good length, ribs well sprung, good rise over loin. Hindquarters sound with good angulation. Harsh coat of good length and texture. Correct tailset and carriage. Moved well from all angles.
