Breed: Open Show

German Longhaired Pointer

OD (1): 1 BOB Thomson's Lux/Ir Sh Ch Sarscottah Fearless Flame Ir JCh, a strong, quality, well-balanced male of 2 years, good bone through the forearms, very clean over the topline, excellent ribbing, good bend of stifle, lovely shine on coat. In well muscled condition. Moved well off strong rear pasterns & coped well with the heat.

OB (1): 1 RBOB Thomson's Lux/Ir Sh Ch Sarscottah Delux An Ch 24, 3-year-old bitch, good bone for size - feminine still & elegant, in good muscled condition, very strong, taut through the loin, good bend of stifle. Not quite the movement of BOB. I also preferred him through the front assembly.

Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla

P (1): 1 BP, RBOB & BPIS Elders' Enryb Eat Your Greens, lovely quality 8 month old bitch, presents a lovely balanced picture standing with good angulation fore & aft, correct length of body, with good bone for size, brisket down to elbow & good topline. Moved well going around the ring. Must surely have a promising future.

O (3, 2a): 1 BOB Whiting's Zoldmali Iszkiri at Cragvallie (Imp), veteran boy of 7 years, correct body proportions & has a good texture to his coat. Holds a good topline, taut through the loin, excellent ribbing, good rear angulation & hocks vertical to the ground. He looks smart stacked. His handler struggles to move him but once he got into his stride – he had sound concise movement & drove off from the rear.

German Wirehaired Pointer

J (2): 1 O'Connor's BP & RBOB Karlejay Gump Forrest Fire, 6 months, in raw form but what a super mover – really covers the ground. Lovely shape stacked up, holds a strong topline, good rear angulatrion, everything is there & when she fills out with maturity should do well. Showy attitude is the icing on the cake. Very well handled; 2 Brown's Kelly Star at Sharrale, coming up 16 months, good bone for size, looks strong but still feminine, good spring of rib, correct bend of stifle. Not so good through the rear pasterns.

PGB (1): 1 Simpson's Ida Vom Holstef at Ovetil (Imp), well made & stacks up well with good balance fore & aft, good head furnishings, strong over the topline & good ribbing. She is smaller in stature than her kennel mate, crabbed a little on the move.

OB (2): 1 BOB Simpson's Ijildez Vom Holstef at Ovetil (Imp), very eye-catching stacked up, flows in outline & has good posture, well balanced angulation fore & aft, strong bone through the forearms yet retains femininity, coat lies close to the body & is good texture, drives off strong rear pasterns. Smart; 2 O'Connor's Sh Ch Karlejay Gump Circle Of Life AI, very well presented, stacks up well with good bend of stifle & correct body proportions. Preferred the bone, overall substance & head of 1.
