Many thanks to the Officers and Committee for the invitation to judge at their well-run Premier Open show. A very pleasant day with some lovely dogs, great atmosphere, well organised timings and an excellent ring Steward, Neil Hood, who kept the ring ticking along efficiently.
BIS was the Whippet female, Boughton Buddleia. Looking the part here. Feminine in outlook with lovely size and gentle curvy outline. Excellent head shape with good eye shape and colour giving desired expression. Well balanced angles. In lovely condition and a sound mover, particularly from profile showing reach and drive with ‘daisy-cutting’ action. RBIS, Seaqualina Echo Of Light At Arcticskies. A typical Sibe of functional type. Good head enhanced with a well-placed almond eye and high set ears used to best advantage. Very moderate all through, in good body and coat, not too low on leg or heavy in any way. Moved with an efficient gait carrying his tail well and gave a good performance to secure this award.
BPIS Ankors Athabasca At Violaceae. Most promising PWD female. Maturing well with excellent body proportions, slightly longer than high. Has strength to skull, balanced with muzzle. Dark eye. Muscular neck leading to a moderately angled front. Firm topline. Muscular, well angled rear. Correct feet. Excellent mover, carrying her tail correctly. Excellent coat for texture and presentation. RBPIS. Zakova Jager Bomb, Black Cocker Spaniel female. Another promising baby, giving away a bit to age but certainly should have a bright future. Lovely cobby outline. Totally feminine with excellent bone, spring of rib and body for her age. Lovely head with the sweetest of expressions. Moved out well, displaying typical ‘merry’ Cocker temperament. Two lovely puppies.
BVIS Ch. Schipdale A Kind Of Magic. Schipperke. I love this breed and this 8 year old dog is a worthy representative. More settled here than earlier in BIS wher he would have pushed the winners closer. Excellent size with cobby outline, ideal proportions and typical wedge head. High set ears used to full advantage to enhance his expression. When settled displayed a short-stepping stride, totally sound in all directions. Thick, double coat, beautifully presented. Made a worthy winner. RBVIS Ch. Franmar The Thriller. 8 year old Australian Shepherd Dog in fabulous form. Masculine and nicely balanced both in head and body proportions. Excellent body, bone and coat and stands on excellent feet. Super on the move, enough reach, strong drive and covers the ground well. Another that was put down to the minute.

2nd Oukaya Forever Beyond The Black. Two 6 month old siblings and very similar at this stage. Both need time to grow on and generally mature further but both show promise. Both have pleasing heads, clean eyes and defined stops. Both have good conformation and gave a good account of themselves. Big Dipper was marginally more settled on the move but needs to drop in rear quarters. Beyond the Black is slightly better balanced on the stack but needs to tighten further on the move, particularly out and back. They were both well presented, have super temperaments for their future careers.
