From a good lineup, it was my pleasure to award BIS to the Weimaraner bitch, Sh Ch Gunalt Wavelength, beautiful quality bitch with nothing to excess, very correct all through for balance, proportions and overall shape, correct head, well made front, good feet, well ribbed back, very well angulated hindquarters with good first and second thigh, moved with freedom and drive, shown in super condition; RBIS was the lovely Italian Spinone, Sh Ch Inosctricani Bell Ragazzo, full of breed type with typical head shape, correct eye, super well boned legs and correct feet, correct skin and coat, super hindquarters, covers lots of ground effortlessly on the move where he is so sound out and back; BIS 3 was Harrison’s Cocker Spaniel, Glenbrows Galanthus, b/w of just over 12 months, full of breed type, correct head, well made in front, big ribs, good bone and feet, well angulated hindquarters, sound in all directions; BIS 4 was the English Springer, Merry’s Gleadsbury It Is Destiny for Anacapa, typical male of quality and full of type, well shaped head, good eye colour, correct bone and good feet, well ribbed and well angulated hindquarters, sound out and back and maintains his static outline in profile, very nice ESS;

BPIS was the Hungarian Vizsla Ssmith and Walker’s Butterfly Hunter Pancake, pretty quality bitch of good type, balance and proportions, liked her head, balanced angulation fore and aft, good legs and feet, good bodylines and shown in very good condition, handled sympathetically to get the best out of her, sound true mover in all directions;

RBPIS was the Pointer, Blake’s Wilchrimane Flomotion, o/w bitch of pleasing type and a look of quality, built on correct lines, pleasing head and eye, very good legs and feet, pleasing body lines, carries herself on the move, needs to settle on the move;

BPIS 3 was the Bracco Italiano, Burke’s Oculi Venator D’Ursus to Alcazar, well made all through and of good type and balance, good side gait and drives from behind, pleasing head and eye, shows promise for the future;

BPIS 4 was the Lagotto Romagnolo, Phillips’ Articbreee City Light, very well made youngster with good head shape, pleasing eye, well balanced and of correct proportions, very sound on the move, good coat, just needs a little more body but he is young, should do well;

Brittany Spaniels

Puppy (1):

1. Samardzija’s Patouche Amaretto, pleasing overall type and balance, very pleasing head shape, well bodied, correct topline, sound true, typical mover, BP;

Open (1):

1. Cook’s Sh Ch Highclare Only One Avec Tailliside, easy to see why is titled, excellent type and balance, correct head and eye, well ribbed, very well muscled, excellent mover, BOB

Italian Spinone

Puppy (1):

1. Foster’s Affilato Play Cupid, pleasing type with pleasing head shape and eye, correct skin and coat, has a tendency to pace compulsively, BP;

Junior (1):

1. Pugh’s Gellini Special Edition, strongly built, correct body and well boned, moved fairly well, am sure will gain confidence with maturity;

Open (2):

1. Littlemore’s Sh Ch Inosctricani Bell Ragazzo, really liked him as a junior and it was super to judge him at his mature best, lovely dog;

2. Pugh’s Gellini Indian Moon, very good coat and skin, pleasing head, eye, rib and bodyd, moved soundly;

AV Working Gundog Stakes

1. Hewison’s Benvellyn Marakele Into Casblaidd JW SGWC, Flatcoat with typical head and correct eye shape, correct bone and good feet, good couplings, sound mover albeit a little close behind;

AV Veteran Stakes (19):

1. Snowgate Parti Over to Dandyjan, Cocker Spaniel, blue roan male of 11 years and looking absolutely marvellous for his age, pleasing head shape, big ribs, good bone and feet, presented in superb condition, so sound on the move where his merry character manifested itself, great credit to his owner;

2. Rawlinson’s Sh Ch Shanorrell Black Sabbath at Halshimoor, black Labrador male of 7 years, has a very good short dense tight-fitting coat of the correct texture, nothing overdone, moves soundly;

3. Mason’s Morgan Van Freebreeze, Pointer

AV Puppy Stakes (19):

1. Wilchrimane Flomotion, Pointer

2. Marston’s Moel Ysgyfarnogod, Sussex Spaniel, good type, well made all through, correct coat, well boned, sound true mover;

3. Mason’s Freebreeze Noel Coward, Pointer

AV Open Stakes (29):

1. Rawlinson’s Halshimoor Perfect Pitch at Shanorrell, Labrador, feminine yellow bitch, unexaggerated, correct eye shape, good neck and shoulders, level topline, well set tail, barrel ribs, double coat of correct texture, moved soundly;

2. Fantastic Field Sshine Like A Diamond at Gadhelic, Field Spaniel of very good type who pressed hard, really pleasing head and eye of correct colour, good front construction, very good hindquarters, shown in lovely condition, moved soundly with drive, deserving of a title;

3. Lux Ch/Ir Sh Ch Malbecmogs lady Of the Lake at Klanhallion

AV Brace Stakes (6):

1. Adshead’s Retriever (Nova Scotia Duck Tolling), similar type and size, moved in unison, worked together well with their handler;

2. Gregory’s Retriever (Nova Scotia Duck Tolling), this pair enjoyed their time together in the ring, perhaps a little too much to the point of not settling as well as 1;
