Thank you to everyone for bringing your dogs and for the time and expense taken to enter. My sincere thanks also to Retford Canine Society for the kind invitation to judge your Staffordshire Bull Terrier classes — it was a pleasure.

PUPPY (5 entries, 1 absent)

1st – Welsh & Lloyd, Crowstaff Seize the Day For Weorc

Black Brindle & White bitch. A very attractive youngster with a nicely proportioned head, lovely dark keen eyes and a well-set ear carriage. Straight front with neat, tidy feet. Well-placed shoulders leading into a clean topline and excellent rear angulation. Coat and body in lovely condition. She made her handler work at times, but once settled she moved with real drive. Best Puppy in Breed and Puppy Group 4.

2nd – Hirst & Bibby, Taraiel Amazing Grace

Black Brindle bitch. Lovely head with a distinct stop and good cheek bumps. Dark, well-shaped eyes. Good front with forechest developing nicely, ribs coming along well, and a pleasing amount of bone. Moved with drive and covered the ground well. A tough decision between the first two; I just preferred the rear angulation of my winner today.

3rd – Stevens, Ronjac Patsy Stone

Reserve – O’Malley, Duffmann Acromantula Atlomstaffs
