South Wales Boxer Club Open Show 15th March 2026 I was delighted to get the invitation to judge one of my favorite breeds and I had a most enjoyable day with very sporting exhibitors whom I would like to thank. I had some super dogs to judge, temperaments were excellent and all were shown in good condition. I must also thank my efficient steward who ensured the ring was running smoothly. Baby Puppy Dog 1st, Ashronsha Mr Lover Lover What a super baby, 5 months old brindle and white who already displays many of the breed's hallmark characteristics, he presents a pleasing square outline, with a compact balanced frame, attractive and well proportioned head, inquisitive expression from dark eyes, forelegs are straight with good bone, he moved with confidence and a natural enthusiasm really enjoying his day, a quality baby puppy with excellent potential. Best Baby Puppy In Show Baby Puppy Bitch 1st, Ashronsha Dolly My Love 5 month old brindle and white who is the litter sister to Mr Lover and she displays many of her brothers attributes, pleasing outline square proportions and a balanced frame, pretty head with good proportions, she was a little unsettled at first but the more she moved she gained in confidence. Minor Puppy Dog 1st, Geovanic Boxa Punch 6 month old brindle & white with pleasing overall outline, balanced and square with sufficient bone, stands on neat tight feet, head is promising with a broad skull and well defined stop, eyes are dark with a kind and alert expression, moved out free and enthusiastically ​ 2nd, Winuwuk Ain’t No Sunshine Typical 7 month old red and white with a pleasing overall outline, well grown with good bone and strong topline, he moved soundly and freely Puppy Dog 1st, Lorrosa Dizzy rascal at Glenauld JW strong, masculine 11 month old brindle and white who just stands well over ground on tight well arched feet displaying the desired square proportions with good substance but without coarseness, his head is clean with a broad skull and well defined stop, well filled foreface with a distinct chin, dark well set eyes with an alert expression, arched neck flows into well laid shoulders, straight forelegs and good bone, compact body, strong muscular hindquarters which he used on the move covering the ground with ease showing good reach and drive while retaining his topline. This boy surely has a bright future and I shall follow his progress with interest. Pleased to award him Best in Show & Best Puppy in Show 2nd,Geovanic Roamin For Love 6 month old brindle who presents a pleasing outline, head is promising , eyes are dark and expressive giving a kind alert expression, adequate bone for age, balanced angulations front and rear, movement was typical for age free and enthusiastic. Junior Dog 1st, Newlaithe Northern Soul at Sonshoby Well balanced brindle and white who oozes breed type,pleasing outline with good proportions displaying the desired square profile, head is developing well for age with good breath of skull and broad muzzle, dark well set eyes with alert expression,firm topline and strong loin, well developed hind quarters, shown in hard muscular condition front assembly adequate, moved with purpose and drive just needs to tighten in front action which cost him in the challenge. Post Graduate Dog 1st, Norwilbeck Bellchime Belta Brindle and white who is square and balanced showing excellent breed character, head is masculine with a broad muzzle and distinct stop, neck is clean and muscular, firm topline and balanced angulations, excelled on the move in profile. 2nd, Boxania rock and Roll Star for Daervlish Brindle and white an honest square boxer of good overall type, clean skull and dark eyes, good bone and substance,balanced outline and angulation enabling him to move effortlessly with reach and drive. Limit Dog 1st, Glenauld The Chase 3 year old Smart Red and white square build with good bone and substance, masculine head with a dark expressive eye, well set ears, clean neck muscular of moderate length leading into well laid shoulders, tight feet , well developed hindquarters, moved and handled expertly Open Dog 1st Sultash Prince of Hearts 4 year old masculine brindle and white of good overall breed type,head is masculine with well set ears and dark eye, firm topline and strong loin, balanced angulations, moved out freely and soundly . Veteran Dog/Bitch A lovely class of 3 quality veterans they were a pleasure to judge. 1st, Charltons Perseus 8 year old brindle and white male who commanded the ring, Masculine and well proportioned with the desired square build with excellent bone and substance, head is strong with a broad muzzle, wide underjaw and excellent bite, neck is muscular blending smoothly into well laid shoulders, topline firm strong bone and tight catlike feet, excellent ring presence and sound movement a credit to his owner. Best Veteran in show and Reserve Best Male 2nd, Sultash Cunco A delightful 9 year old bitch who was shown in tip top condition, nicely balanced and proportioned overall, feminine head with dark expressive eye, good front and well angulated hind quarters, she really enjoyed her day moved freely and soundly . 3rd, Ashronsha Widest Dreams Minor Puppy Bitch 1st, Winuwuk Seasons In The Sun Nicely proportioned 7 month old red and white who presents a pleasing outline, nicely balanced head and muzzle, dark eye, stands well on straight forelegs with tight feet, good topline and rear angulation, clean underline, enthusiastic and free covering movement I thought her quite delightful Best Puppy Bitch 2nd, Longsdale Stormy Lovers at Glenauld 6 month old brindle and white who pushed one all the way, head is developing well with a pleasing shape and correct proportions, dark and expressive eyes, nicely arched neck flows into well laid shoulders, well angulated hindquarters she moved soundly covering the ground well. 3rd, Geovanic Make Me Blush Puppy Bitch 1st, Winuwuk Kiss Me Quick at Charlons Another quality puppy from this kennel,10 month old brindle and white nicely developing head and balance overall ,small tight feet, alert expression with dark eye, compact body, elegant arched neck, balanced angulations, moved with good drive from behind and reach in profile. Junior Bitch (ABS) Novice Bitch 1st, Xandene Bjarkeyjar Katia 20 month old red and white the cleanest and soundest mover in the class, she is feminine and balanced, nicely balanced skull and muzzle proportions with good underjaw, alert and intelligent expression, compact body well laid shoulders and hind angulation, moved stylishly sound and purposeful with good reach 2nd, Newlaithe Bridget Jones with Treju 13 month old brindle and white who presents a balanced outline with pleasing proportions, feminine head of good type, dark eyes with an alert expression, moved well in profile, a little untidy in front coming towards but sound in rear. 3rd, Sultash Inspiral Post Graduate Bitch 1st, Boxania Don’t Blame Me At Jeddhi Well balanced and typey 19 month old brindle and white who combines strength and elegance with a square outline, good substance without heaviness, head is particular pleasing correct proportions between skull and muzzle,dark and expressive eyes, balanced angulations, tight feet.moved with purpose RBB 2nd, Jimbren Destined For Love with Sultash 3 Year old brindle and white in great muscular condition, nicely balanced in profile head of correct proportions, dark expressive eyes, balanced angulations, pasterns and feet could be tighter, moved well in profile Limit Bitch 1st, Merribox In Cahoots with Glenauld 20 month brindle and white Well balanced of good breed type presenting a square outline, feminine head of overall pleasing proportions, neck is clean flowing smoothly into well laid shoulders, straight front rear angulation is moderate and balanced with the front, moved soundly and freely in profile and cleanly up and back which won her the class. 2nd, Norwibeck Bellchime Corka Feminine 20 month old brindle and white of excellent type, beautiful head with correct proportions, expression alert and intelligent, dark eyes, neck is of good length flowing into reasonably well laid shoulders, front is straight with sufficient bone rear angulation is moderate, moved very well in profile just needs to tighten in front. 3rd, Lorrosa My Heads Been Turned to Jeddhi 4th, Sultash Charisma Open Bitch 1st, Winuwuk Ghostly Affair Quality 2 year old brindle and white of excellent breed type presenting a well balanced and harmonious outline, very pleasing head with correct proportions and good balance between skull and muzzle, dark eyes giving a keen intelligent expression,straight front with good bone and tight feet, well angulated rear, moved with purpose maintaining balance and topline Best BItch & Reserve Best in Show 2nd, Romanico Bacctu Clarricks JW Well balanced, substantial 3 year old brindle and white of good breed type, square outline with pleasing proportions, head is appealing with good balance, evident stop and correct length of muzzle, on the move she strode out well with a level topline . 3rd, Sultash Enable Judge - Deborah Myers (Optimus)
