Border Collie. J (2). 1.Walker’s Penduffie Angel Of My Dreams - Very pretty 15-month-old with many positive breed points; her skull is broad enough for her age; eyes are well set; ears of a good size; neck is nice and strong; forequarters are good but the hindquarters are a little close, both when standing and on the move, front action is good. 2. Kempton’s Borderbrook Special Dream JW - A little younger than my class winner but in some cases a tad more mature; viewed side-on the outline is very good; for me there is a bit too much stop and the head appears a little heavy, so I prefer the head of my class winner, however, eye shape is good; forequarters are strong with plenty of reach when moving; hindquarters could be a bit stronger. PG (2). 1. Kempton’s Borderbrook Special Dream JW. 2. Walker’s Borderbrook Final Straw At Ravenskirk - 22-month-old with a super outline; the head is quite broad and occiput a tad too pronounced for me; ears are well set and carried; mouth could be more breed appropriate; neck is strong with sufficient arch and of good length; forequarters are well boned but perhaps overreaching when moving around the ring; spring of ribs is good. O (4,1). 1. Walker’s Miraje Just Because At Ravenskirk - 7.5-year-old but looking and moving as one much younger; outline is good coupled with lovely balance throughout; head and skull are breed typical with super expression and sufficient stop; ear length and texture are super; good muscular neck; forequarters are quite good although tends to stand a little close but front action is very good; ribs are well sprung and there is sufficient depth of chest; overall body proportions are good; much to like. BOB.GRP 4. 2. Walker’s Ravenskirk Pretty In Pink - As with my class winner there is much to like; skull is sufficiently broad; eyes are good as is the expression; ear set and carriage are good. Topline needs a little more muscle and strength for me, but hindquarters are strong with sufficient muscle giving plenty drive on the move. 3. Kempton’s Borderbrook Final Destiny JW. Bearded Collie. It was lovely to get a chance to go over this breed, they really are gorgeous. I always look for a gap between the shoulder blades to allow for the lowering of the head when on the move, giving the breed typical outline, which I think is so much part of this breed. J (4,2). 1. Peart’s Malandex Xquisit’s Legacy For Talluarchy - 12-month-old bitch, looking very feminine throughout; her body proportions are good; when viewed side-on her outline is breed typical; she has a lovely head which is sufficiently broad for a bitch; her stifles have sufficient angulation and hock length is good; pigmentation is good; coat could have been a little better today. 2. Higgins’s Potterdale Highland Plus At Allochoy

7-month-old male, really enjoying his day out. The breed standard does say ‘lively’ and this young male is definitely ‘lively’. His skull is sufficiently broad for his age but will need to develop; proportions are good. His mouth is good; neck shape is correct. Time will be a good friend to him, and I will watch his progress with interest. PG (4,1). 1. Robertson’s Quothquan Aylyth - 26-month-old bitch, beautifully feminine throughout. Her height to length ratio is very good; head is of a good shape; side-on she looks good and her angulation fore & aft is nice; viewed from the front and rear, she looks a tad narrow for me but this does not affect her movement which is good in all directions. 2. Savage & McClean’s Strufingill Penny Benjamin At Canaich - 2-year-old bitch that I feel is not fully mature yet. Her body proportions are good as are the proportions of her head and skull; eyes and ears are quite breed typical; she has enough length of neck. Currently she is a little narrow in front, and her chest could be a tad broader. Hindquarters are good with low hocks, something often lacking in this breed; rear movement is good; overall immature but sweet. 3. Ryan’s Gallus Midas Touch into Razkal JW. O (3). 1. Robertson’s Heather Mist Miss Tillietudlem At Quothquan (SWEIMP) - 6-year-old quality bitch with a super outline; her head is breed typical with a broad skull and good proportions; eye shape is good and her ear set and carriage are good. Angulation fore & aft is super; she has a deep chest and plenty of spring of rib cage; feet are good and she moves beautifully. She is not too heavy or overdone in any way; def my type of girl. BOB. GRP 1. 2. Higgins’s IKC CH IKC CH Allachoy Isle of Neave - Another bitch I really like; her body proportions are textbook for the breed; her head is of good shape and her expression is very feminine; mouth is good; pigmentation is as it should be; neck is sufficiently arched; she has plenty of bone in her forequarters. When stacked I prefer the front of my class winner as this girl is standing a little closer in front today; her movement however is very good. Plenty to like about her. 3. Savage & McLean’s Talraz Comic Relief At Canaich JW VW. Shetland Sheepdogs. J (4,3). 1. Hill’s Cocard Van Helsing - 11-month-old male with a stunning ‘classical’ head; super outline when stacked with excellent body proportions; ears well set and carried; neck with sufficient arch; shoulders have a good slope; fore legs are straight with enough bone; his hindquarters are quite well muscled for one so young; tail set and carriage is good; he is graceful on the move. In many ways he is mature beyond his age. One to watch, I think. BOB. GRP 2. PG (7,3). 1. Hill’s Cocaro Contraband for Molson - 2-year-old bitch with many breed positive points; she is quite delicately built with a nice outline; eyes are a good shape and colour; ears are good; mouth is correct. Viewed from the front she stands a little wide occasionally; body shape is good; hindquarters are well angled and depth of chest is good. Movement is strong. 2. Saunders’ Leterikhills River Star Over Torriglen JW - 3-year-old bitch with a pleasant feminine head of good wedge shape; neck of good length with plenty of muscle; I would like a tad more angulation in the forequarters; side-on, she is a little long in the back for me but her back is not weak and her movement around the ring is good; coat texture is good. 3. Hill’s Mad About You With Moulson. O(12,5). 1. Welford’s Ch Ristine Emerald VW - A real beauty at over 8-years-old; she is very typical of this breed; her outline is symmetrical, her head is long and skull moderately flat; eyes and expression are lovely; her mouth is good; angulation fore & aft is good; feet are correct shape; tail set is good and front action has sufficient reach. All credit to her owner for keeping her in such immaculate condition. The best bitch of the day and just pipped at the post by the male. 2.Forbes’s CH Degallo The Prodigy JW - Only 2-years-old but fully mature and of outstanding quality. His head is masculine but not exaggerated in any way and it would be difficult not to be charmed by his expression. He is very well constructed and looks good from all angles, and his movement is very smooth. He has the best tail length of the day. 3. Saunders Galateus Bohemia Classic At Torriglen RL4EX(IMP CZE). Collies (Rough). PG (2,1). 1. Clark Kerr’s Salsina Love Me Do For Whitecraigs - Standing alone in her class but still a worthy winner. Her expression is typical for this breed; eyes and ears are correct; her mouth is good and her neck is of a good length. Front angulation is good and I prefer it to the angulation of her hindquarters. Her body proportions are good, and coat texture is correct for the breed. O (3,1). 1. Hodges Jopium Follow My Heart JW - 2-year-old bitch of good body proportions; she is of medium size, and nothing is overdone. Ears are well carried and set. Her dentition is good; forequarters are well angulated; she has plenty of bone and muscle throughout; back is strongly built. BOB. 2. Clark Kerr’s Uffspring Uniquely Mayd For Whitecraigs - Well-presented 7-year-old bitch with much to like about her. Body proportions are good and her forequarters are well angulated with plenty of bone and enough muscle for a bitch. Side-on, her back does not appear as strong as my class winner and her hindquarters are a tad over angulated. This said, she does move with a good reach and strong drive; feet are a good shape. Australian Shepherd. PG (1). 1. Heggie & Douglas’s Liskarn Pharoaah’s Favourite - Super 8-month-old male with much to like about him despite his tender age; there would be no mistaking him for a bitch. I like the shape of his head, which is of good proportions; eyes and ears are as they should be and his mouth is good. I would like him to be a tiny bit less square, but he has an excellent, level topline which he holds well on the move. I really like this young male. O (4). Quite a difficult class to judge as there is a variety of type and soundness. 1. Heggie’s Winstead A Brave New World IR JUN CH - This 4-year-old male is so typical of this lovely breed; his body proportions are textbook, and he appears to be built for strength and endurance; eyes and ears are correct and mouth is good. Viewed from the front, he occasionally stood wide (on uneven ground perhaps?) but his front angulation and bone length are quite good. His rear action is lovely, plenty of drive. I feel he is constructed strongly enough to put in a good day’s work. If I am being a little picky, I feel his muzzle could be a bit cleaner but overall, he is super! BOB. 2. Hodges CH Jopium Dark And Demure - Beautiful feminine bitch with so much to like about her; her head is beautiful and breed typical and she is quite charismatic; eyes, ears and mouth are as they should be, and neck is of good length. I would like a little more depth of chest and when moving towards me, she moved a little close in front and she toes-out a tiny bit. This said, she is lovely from front to back. As with my class winner, she looks as though she can put in a full day’s work. 3. Heggie’s Talard It Wasn’t Me IR JUN CH CJW25. Samoyed. O (5,2). This was not an easy class to judge as there is a mixture of size, soundness and type in this beautiful breed today. 1. Forster’s Artsam Shining Future Hiro For Hakumichi - Young 15-month-old male with a most striking appearance. Although not fully matured he is well up to size and I wouldn’t want him to get any bigger. Side-on, his proportions are good; his head is powerfully built, ears are thick, dentition is correct and neck is strong. His tail is of good length, and he moves well in all directions. He does need to mature and develop. Time will be his friend. BOB. 2. Scott-May’s Croftdouglas Dileas Anam - Very pretty 2-years-old bitch, feminine through and through. She is large enough for this breed with a good outline. She has the typical spitz type head; pigmentation is good. Tail set and carriage are good; movement quite positive in all directions. 3. Miles & Cameron’s Lumistarr I Predict A Riot At Serrenus. Welsh Corgi(Pembroke). O (1). 1. Hogg’s Swingatefarm Te Aroha At Keltybrae - It is a shame I only have 1 of this breed to go over. This girl is just over 1-years-old but there is much to like about her despite her immaturity. She is feminine and very pretty. She is already a good shape with a beautiful outline; her head is breed typical with enough stop; ear shape and carriage are good. Her front angulation is lovely. She has plenty of bone but still needs to add muscle to her frame. When settled, she moves well. BOB. German Shepherd. This is a breed close to my heart, having owned several in my lifetime. O (3,1). 1. Mooney’s Draycore Kenneth - Well matured 5-year-old male, masculine in every way; it would be difficult to mistake him for a female. His body length to height ratio is good; he is well muscled with strong bones; lovely front angulation and he has plenty of reach when moving. It’s a shame the ring isn’t a little larger for him to stretch out completely. I would prefer a slightly straighter back between the withers and croup. BOB. 2. Nicoll’s Kenleap Marble Swirl At Celtacastus - Very pretty, feminine 2-year-old bitch with quite delicate head features. Her topline could be a tad better. Forequarters are quite good and body length is sufficient. It is a great pity that she is unsettled on the move today so front and rear action could not be assessed. AV Pastoral NSC. O (3,1). Only 2 dogs in this class, both Catalan Sheepdog males but quite different in type and general presentation. 1. Stevenson’s Peregos Lone Ranger- Catalan Sheepdog - 2-years-old, looking well balanced with good body proportions; he has a nice head with round eyes with sufficient stop; ear shape is good; neck is a little longer than I normally see but, at his age, it needs more muscle so it can be misleading visually. His forequarters are fairly strong; hindquarters are well developed and his rear action gives him plenty of drive. B AVNSC. 2. Stevenson’s Moasdileas Hen Broon – Catalan Sheepdog - Older than my class winner but not looking quite as ‘finished’. His outline is breed appropriate; head is of a good size; overall perhaps he could do with a little more weight/muscle. Rear quarters appear over-angulated, and this affects his rear action. AV Pastoral IMPR. O (3,2). 1. Emery’s IR CH Kontrastas Huntsman White Von Navajos SHCEX CW’26 – (White Swiss Shepherd) - This 7-years-old male is a real beauty. The breed is stunning anyway but when you get a chance to go over a real cracker, it is a treat. He is powerfully built with good body proportions; level back with plenty of muscle. His head is textbook being wedge shaped and not broad; Angulation fore & aft is good; nice mover in all directions; in superb condition. B IMPR.GRP 3. AV P (7,3). 1. Hodges’ Jopium Relight My Fire- (Australian Shepherd) - A lovely 7-months-old bitch; she has walked in the ring and seems to dominate it with her presence; she is balanced well beyond her tender age; her head is beautiful although still not fully developed; eyes are of a good shape; ears are well set and carried; her outline is excellent being level and strong; muscles developing well. Angulation is good and she is an easy mover. One to watch! AVPASTORAL PUPPY. 2. Heggie & Douglas’ Liskarn Pharoah’s Favourite-(Australian Shepherd) - 3. Higgins’ Potterdale Highland Plus At Allachoy – Bearded Collie. AV Pastoral Veteran (9,1). Some beautiful veterans in this class; most concealing their age rather well. All credit to their owners for keeping these veterans in such superb condition. 1. Higgins’ IKC Veteran Champion Innkalies Miss Marple At Allachoy IKC VET CH – Bearded Collie

A 10-years-old bitch with a lovely frame; she is of a good size, and nothing is overdone. Her head is quite typical for the breed with the length of muzzle to skull ratio being correct: and her expression is feminine; neck is of good length. Her body length to height is good and her depth of chest is correct. She moves so strongly in all directions. It is difficult to accept the age she is. Lovely bitch! 2. Welford’s CH Ristine Emerald VW- (Shetland Sheepdog). 3. Emery’s IR CH Kontrastas Huntsman White Von Navajos SHCEX CW’26 – (White Swiss Shepherd
