Many thanks to the committee of this fantastic show for the invitation to judge, I thoroughly enjoyed the day, the show was extremely well organised and my thanks also the stewards who kept everything running smoothly.

1st GARDNER’S Alanea Turing Tables Into Danwish

Just 7 months old and very together and sound for his age. Masculine head but maintaining a soft gentle expression. Good reach of neck with well placed shoulders and balanced angles front and back. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Correct top line held on the move, covering the ground well. BP.

2nd HARGREAVES’ Alanea Skylark

Feminine head and expression. Overall finer all through compared to winner and would prefer a little more bone and substance. Balanced angles front and back. A little unsure of her surroundings which affected her movement.

1st HART’S Gilliegrae So Berry Excited JW

Masculine head and expression with good pigment. Good reach of neck with well placed shoulders and good return of upper arm. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Balanced angles from and back. Well muscled which he used to his advantage on the move, covering the ground with reach and drive. BOB.

1st TAIT’S Talintyre Fomhar Reiver

Masculine head and expression with dark eye and good pigment. Good reach of neck with moderately angled front. Good depth of chest, correct topline. Moderate width to stifle and overall balanced. Would prefer tighter elbows. Moves soundly.

2nd BLOXHAM’S Alanea Emerald

Feminine head and expression. Shorter on reach of neck than winner and would prefer more return of upper arm to balance angles with rear. Short couples and good width to stifle. Moved steadily.

1st TAIT’S Sh Ch Talintyre Winter Shadow

Won this class on movement. Masculine head and expression with excellent pigmentation. Good reach of neck, well developed breastbone. Well placed shoulders and moderate return of upper arm. Well sprung ribs with short couplings and moderate width to stifle. Moved soundly. Res BOB.

2nd SHERRATT & BLACKWELL SHERRATT’S Ch Alanea Holly Fern at Charnborough Sgwc

Feminine head and expression and in excellent condition for 9 years old. Not the front angulation of the winner. Correct topline held on the move. Short coupled with moderate width to stifle. Moved well for her age.

Masculine head with excellent pigment. Good reach of neck with well placed shoulders and moderate return of upper arm. Good depth of chest and well developed fore chest. Correct topline with good width to stifle. Would prefer tighter elbows. Covered ground well.

2nd SHEPHERD’S Casachared Joleens Lady red

Pretty head and expression. Not just the reach of neck and overall balance of the winner. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Short coupled with moderate width to stifle. Correct topline, moved soundly and well presented.

Third in Junior. Masculine head and expression. Good reach of neck with well placed shoulders but would prefer more return of upper arm to balance angles overall. Good depth of chest, good bone but would prefer tighter feet. Moderate width to stifle. Moved steadily.

Feminine head and expression with moderate reach of neck. Balanced angles from and back. Good spring of rib and short coupled. Correct topline would prefer a more typlicl breed coat. Moved ok.

Graduate Dog or Bitch (5,0)

1st KASSUBE & FRENCH’S Cararua Spring Pearl JW

Feminine head and expression. Good reach of neck but would prefer a little more return of upper arm. Good depth of chest, bone and feet. Correct topline and coat. Moderate width to stifle and moved soundly.

2nd SHEPHERD’S Casachared Joleens Lady red

Second in Junior, winner of yearling.

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch (2,0)

1st KASSUBE & FRENCH’S Thendara Hot Diamond and Cararua

Masculine head and expression. Moderate reach of neck, well developed fore chest and good depth to chest. Well sprung ribs and short coupled. Good width to stifles and correct topline. Good bone and feet. Covered ground well although would prefect a little more front reach.

2nd HIGNETT-CAPPER & CAPPER & KASSUBE & FRENCH’S Cararua Pearl of the North

Overall very balanced. Gentle head and expression with good reach of neck. Well angulated front with good depth of chest. Short coupled with moderate width to stifle. Correct topline and presented in excellent condition. Moved soundly covering ground well.

Masculine head but maintaining a gentle expression. Preferred his overall balance and front angulation. Good reach of neck with well placed shoulders and good return of upper arm. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Short coupled with correct topline and good width to stifle. Won class on movement and covered ground well with reach and drive. Res BOB.

2nd DANKS & KNIVETON’S Alofrana Electra

Pretty head and expression with a good reach of neck. Well placed shoulders and good depth of chest. Preferred overall front angulation of winner. Good spring of rib, short coupled. Moved soundly and presented in hard condition with correct coat.

3rd CORLESS’ Swiftlark Incincible JW

Masculine, gentle head and expression with good reach of neck. Well placed shoulders and good return of upper arm. Good depth to chest, well developed fore chest and tight elbows. Well sprung ribs. Good width to stifle, correct proportions and correct topline. Presented in good coat and condition covering ground with ease with reach and drive. BOB.

2nd COHEN’S Lynwood Merry Mary king with Shushana

Smaller framed dog than the winner and overall very balanced with gentle head and expression. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Correct topline with moderate mangles front and back. Moved well but just not the drive from rear of the winner.

Masculine head with correct shape. Moderate reach of neck with balanced angles front and back. Level top line with good spring of rib. Good width to stifle, presented in good conditions. Moves true but needs more confidence to fulfil his potential. Res BOB.

1st WARD’S Glenbrows Flame of Tantaraviz

More typical breed type head. Good reach of neck, straight front, good bone and feet with tight elbows. Level topline with moderate width to stifle. Correct topline held on the move. Moves straight and true front and back covering ground with ease. BOB.

2nd RITCHIE & GRAHAM’S Sh CH Renascent Bleaberry at Slapestones JW (Imp USA)

Heavier head piece than winner. Good reach of neck and good bone. Well sprung ribs and presented in good coat. Would prefer a strong topline. Good width to stifle and moved soundly just not the rear drive of winner.

YKC MEMBERS HANDLING CLASS

6-11 Years (7,1)

1st Audrey Turner

A competent handler who is empathetic to her dog. Is aware of where the judge is at all times. Good knowledge of ring patterns asked and completed accurately. Finished patterns appropriately giving correct distance to judge.

2nd Arlo Barbi

Another good hander who has a good rapport with her dog. Is aware of judges position at all times and completed all ring patterns asked correctly, just not the overall accuracy of the winner.

3rd Jacob Kenwright

12-17 year (5,0)

1st Charlotte Robertshaw

A complete handler who is fully focused on her dog at all times but maintaining an awareness of the judges position. Able to show bite correctly and completed ring patterns asked correctly and with precision. Knows how to get the best out of her dog and ensures that they are enjoying the experience.

2nd Darcie Fleming

Another excellent handler and many of the attributes of winner apply here. Excellent rapport with dog and awareness of judge. Just hadn't the accuracy of lines of winner and that was the deciding factor.
