Many thanks to the society for their invitation to judge at this well-known show. I greatly enjoyed my day and was honoured to go over some super dogs. My thanks also to my superb steward, Sue, who kept the ring running in perfect order. The equestrian surface presented a challenge to some dogs and this was reflected in my decisions.

1st Forbes & Sladden’s Silvestre Pop Soda At Canemamans. This is a very exciting young dog who caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring. Though he stood alone, he is a worthy winner. He possesses a beautifully sculpted head with characteristic chiselling under the eye. Eye, ear and mouth all correct. Short muscular neck to well laid back shoulders and defined withers. Excellent angulation fore and aft, deep chest, good elbows meeting brisket. Good ribbing, body proportions and correct topline. Strong hindquarters with good width. Standing on very tidy feet. Moved true with powerful drive to take BP, RBOB and PG4. Well done.

1st Piccorino Portatore D’Amore. A split hair decision; he won this class on his movement and maturity. 3yo male of a slightly longer cast than 2. Presented in good muscular condition, he has a nice head and kind expression. Lovely leathers. Powerful neck, good front angulation and correct pasterns. Has a tendency to roach his back on the stack which ruins his outline but holds well on the move. Good spring of ribs, bend of stifle and well let down hocks.
2nd Sladden’s Braccorion’s Eye Candy At Canemamans. Very pretty but raw 11mth little girl that is still to come into her own. She has good planes, kind eyes and correct leathers. Short, powerful neck, correct transition to withers, nice topline. Good angulation fore and aft, super proportions and lovely feet. Movement was not quite as positive as 1 today, a different day might have seen a different outcome.

1st Sladden’s Sh Ch Valcour The Confessor At Canemamans JW ShCEx OSW. This 5 yo male oozes quality, he is still in his prime and is everything a Bracco should be. The most noble of heads, masculine but not overdone or coarse. Correct median line, chiselling, eyes, ears, mouth, super planes and flews. Well rounded, powerful neck flowing to good withers and well laid shoulders. Pleasing angulation fore and aft, standing on strong legs and correct pasterns with excellent feet. Desired body proportions, well ribbed, correct topline and loin with muscular croup and second thigh evident. Outstanding, driving movement. I was not surprised to see afterwards that he is sire to the BP, there are many attributes that he has clearly thrown. BOB

1st Wright’s Caldera Evicka Grace At Lassemista. 14mth Br&W bitch having a jolly good time out! Feminine face, good head proportions, eyes and mouth with decent feathering on her ears. Moderately long, slightly arched neck with a smooth transition to shoulders. Correct upper arm, straight forelegs. Good length of back, firm topline and slightly sloping croup. Muscular second thigh. She needs to mature further to finish the picture. Moved ok when settled.

1st Wright’s Caldera Coral Dawn At Lassemista. Very nice 4 yo Br&W bitch. Lovely balanced head, correct eye, ear & dentition. Really liked her profile, defined sternum, moderate neck, good shoulders, excellent body length, topline, loin and croup. Everything flows nicely and in the right place. Super angulation fore and aft, correct pasterns and good feet. Lovely feathering, presented in well-muscled condition. Moved well. Delighted to hear she took RBIS, Congratulations.

1st Cooke & Hammond’s Seasham Crazy Love. Stunning 6mth bitch with a well-balanced clean-cut head. She has a pretty face with soft eyes, correctly set ears and good mouth. Moderately long neck flowing smoothly into sloping shoulders. Great angulation, standing on strong legs with fantastic feet and well arched toes. Short, firm back, tight elbows, appropriately deep chest, well sprung ribs, correct tuck up. Well-muscled second thigh, good bend of stifle, correct hind angles and pasterns. Covered the ground with an easy free movement. BP, BOB and thrilled to see BIS & BPIS. Congratulations.

1st Cooke & Hammond’s Seasham Crazy Love See 1st in Junior
2nd Blacker & Khan-Blacker’s Humjoli Persia’s Prince. 2 yo male. I liked his head piece, he has a handsome, kind look about him though he seemed worried today. Deep chest, strong forelegs, good feet. He has good body proportions though he roaches and tenses on the stack which completely ruins his profile. He relaxes a little on the move and handled the surface well but still does not hold his topline. Good bend of stifle, well-muscled. Sympathetically handled.
Weimaraner
Puppy 3, 1
1st Upton-Lovett & Upton’s Sharnphilly She’s A Cracker With Roydack. 9mth bitch with a sweet and well-balanced head. She has a lovely shape to her and flows smoothly from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail. Moderately long, clean neck with a nice transition to shoulders. Good angles fore and aft, excellent feet, great length to body, moderate tuck up, firm loin and slightly sloping croup. She has good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Moved well for a pup on an exciting surface, well handled. BP
Junior 2, 1
1st Suett’s Silberliss Diamond Cut. 13mth bitch. Pretty head with all of the desired breed attributes. Good neck, well off for bone with a well-developed chest and plenty of heart room. She has length through the body, is well ribbed with firm loin and moderate tuck up with correct croup. Good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Presented in well-muscled condition. She moved ok but did not drive or seem balanced on the surface.

1st Porter-Manning & Porter’s Wallaroo Betelgeuse. 21mth male with a handsome and endearing head. He has a clean neck into good shoulders. Deep chest, tight elbows, strong forelegs. He has desired length through the body and when he holds his topline it is firm though he can drop it from time to time. Slightly sloping croup, well let down hocks. Still to mature and hopefully everything will tighten as he does. Handled to advantage, moved well. RBOB.
2nd Spavins & Chevalier’s Weipowa Wild Flush For Ashstern. This young lady gave her handler a hard time today and did herself no favours bunching herself up and standing very tense. On the plus, she moved well, has fantastic feet, a very pretty head with correct stop, median line, eyes, ears and mouth. She possesses a nice neck into well laid shoulders and good front angles. Correct slight tuck up, strong thighs and was presented in good muscular condition.
Open 8, 3
1st Dennis’ Silverweis Sparkler. A lovely veteran bitch belying her age. Wearing a pale jacket, she displayed the best movement in breed on the day. She has a pretty and well-balanced head piece with correct proportions and detailing. A pleasing outline; moderately long neck into well laid shoulders and a smooth level topline to slightly sloping croup. Good body proportions, short firm loin, angles fore and aft, ok feet. BOB.
2nd Suett’s Silberliss Saucy Mare JW. 4 yo bitch with a good head and sweet expression. Strong neck into shoulders, good depth of chest to brisket over strong clean legs. Excellent length of body, level topline, firm loin, correct croup and tail set. Good hind angles, well-muscled. Moved ok but not as positive as 1.

Underneath her soft feather jacket, she possesses a deep chest, good body proportions, moderate tuck up and the correct loin. Excellent feet.
