I want to say a big thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge at your wonderfully run show. To all the volunteers who gave up their time on a very rainy and chilly day to keep the show running smoothly and to the two fabulous ring stewards at Ring 10, Cassie and Naomi who kept everything including myself organised, couldn’t have done it without them.

I would also like to say a big thank you to all these wonderful exhibitors who entered under me and spent the day in the lovely winter weather, your support of new breed judges means a lot especially to ones who have admired Tollers enjoyed learning and developing my knowledge with your help.

Class 337 – Puppy – 1/0

1st – 696 – Aloy Tideripper – Mrs S, Mr R, Miss E Knott

An energetic seven-month-old female enjoying her first showing experience and taking it all in. She has a lovely feminine head showing a moderate stop. Correct ear set showing triangular dropped ears. Flesh coloured nose and eye rims. Good depth of chest with spring of rib but has some more maturing and filling out to with age as she’s still young. Tight round feet which is great to see. Texture to her double coat, soft under coat looking forward to seeing her coat mature. Very restless and puppylike on the move did settle as time went on. Looking forward to seeing with ringcraft and training how she settles into her showing career. For your first time showing ever well done, we were all new once. – BP

Class 338 – Junior – 3/1

1st – 694 – Arelechen Galileo Figaro JW – Miss M J Davies

A seventeen-month-old dog compact and well-muscled throughout. Has a masculine broad head that’s still maturing as he is still young, with a moderate stop, he has lovely flesh coloured nose and rims framing his alert eyes. Correct dentition with scissor bite, with tight lips. Strong medium length of neck flowing into well laid-back shoulders and well angled front construction. Straight forelegs with slightly sloping pasterns. Great depth of chest with good spring of rib, brisket reaching his elbow with ease. Lovely rich colour to his coat, with soft undercoat and proper repellent topcoat. Well-muscled hindquarters, stifles well bent and hocks well let down. Tail set well sloping from croup and carried correctly when he was alert not touching his back. He has a level topline which he shows beautifully on the move carrying himself with ease, showing good reach and drive around the ring, showing himself well today. – RBOB

2nd – 703 - Shorrocks Game Changer At Finnkova JW – Mrs A Ryder

A sixteen-month-old dog with a lovely expression, he is compact and in proportionate pleasing to the eye. His coat has a great texture to it with the soft undercoat and repellent topcoat, with some good furnishings looking neat and tidy. His feet are nice and tidy. Slightly wedge-shaped skull that is broadening well with age, with a moderate stop, lovely flesh coloured nose and eye rims that blends in well his coat. Triangular dropped ears set well on top of skull. Correct scissor bite with tight lips. Medium neck that is well muscled, flowing into a well laid shoulder and well-constructed front angulation with straight forelegs and slightly sloping pasterns. Deep chest with a good spring of rib, brisket reaching his elbow. Level topline, with correct tail set. Moved well was just pipped to the post by 1st.

Class 339 – Post Graduate 8/0

1st – 710 – Tollisty You Can’t Decline – Miss H Strevens

A four-year-old dog, with a rich red double coat, with good furnishings well groomed. Flesh coloured nose and rims framing almond shaped eyes, giving a lovely expression. Medium length of neck with good muscle tone. Front angulation correct flowing into straight forearms with slightly sloping pasterns. Deep chest with good spring of rib, elbows close to his body with brisket depth reaching his elbows. Moderate tuck up with strong loins. Level topline and correct tail set sloping from the croup, with correct tail carriage when alert and on the move. Compact and well proportioned, well-muscled throughout, stifles well bent and hocks well let down. Springy on the move, with good reach and drive with a level topline creating a beautiful silhouette on the move.

2nd – 708 – Tollisty Raudr JW – Mrs K Smith

A four-year-old dog of medium bone and standing, a good double coat with soft undercoat. Correct dentition scissor bite and tight lips. Flesh coloured nose and rims framing almond shaped eyes, a moderate stop on a broad mature head. Triangular dropped ears set well on top of head. Neck of medium length and muscular flowing into well laid-back shoulders and correct front angulation. Forearms straight into slightly sloping pasterns. Feet not as tidy and tight as I would have liked. Good depth of chest with a good spring of rib, brisket reaching his elbow well, his elbows sitting tight to his body. He has a level topline with a correct tail set sloping from the croup, carrying correctly on the move and when alert. Moderate tuck up with strong loins. Stifles well bent, hocks well let down. Moved well with good drive around the ring

1st – 704 – Acadiabyrne Tibetan Coral Of Quackanova – Miss J Salmon

A four-year dog of medium size, compact and powerful but in proportion with bags of personality. Rich red double coat with a wonderful texture to it, and a soft dense undercoat, with lovely furnishings. Masculine wedge-shaped head with a beautiful expression and a moderate stop, flesh coloured nose and eye rims framing almond shaped eyes. Correct dentition and tight lips with scissor bite. Triangular dropped ears set hight on skull. Deep chest, ribs well sprung, brisket reaches the elbow, with elbows close to the body. Moderate length of neck well-muscled into well laid-back shoulders. Correct front angulation and construction. Straight forelegs with slightly sloping pasterns. Tight, tidy, round, medium size feet which is fantastic to see. Strong loins and a moderate tuck up. Level topline shown beautifully on the move. Tail set flows slightly sloping towards croup, carried correctly when alert and on the move. Hindquarters well-muscled, stifles well bent, and hocks well let down. Flawless movement with wonderful reach and drive, alert and engaging. Worthy winner. – BOB

2nd – 701 – Tollekin Dream Cove At Shekdrake JW AW(B) SGWC – Miss N Nevers

 A five-year-old dog compact and powerful, well-muscled throughout. Masculine wedge-shaped head, with a moderate stop. Flesh coloured nose and rims. Correct dentition with scissor bite and tight lips. Triangular dropped ears set correctly high upon skull and well feathered. Medium length of neck, well-muscled. Well angulated front, well-constructed going into well laid-back shoulders. Straight forelegs with slightly sloping pasterns. Medium, tight, tidy and round feet which is great to see. Deep chest with good spring of rib, brisket reaches his elbow, elbows lay close to the body. Nice level topline, strong loins and a moderate tuck up. Muscled hindquarters, stifles well bent and hocks well let down and straight. Tail set sloping from the croup. Movement wasn’t as settled as first place today though I thoroughly enjoyed some of his conditioning positions and his engagement with his owner, that level of partnership is what people aspire to have. I also love seeing dogs having multiple activities to keep them occupied. I look forward to having the opportunity to see you again.
