Firstly I would like to thank the committee of Oakengates for inviting me to judge. It was a wonderful day with plenty of good atmosphere and sportsmanship. Thankyou also to my stewards for keeping the ring moving throughout the day.

Poodle (STD)

Post graduate (3 entries – 1 absent)

1st Davies’ Tafari Aurora Aura

Beautiful white bitch who instantly catches your eye. Feminine head with dark pigment, tight lips, correct bite and dark eyes. Ear leathers long, dropping close to her face. Well laid back shoulders, deep chest and ribs well sprung. Thighs well developed and nice tight feet. Her movement is so light and free finishing the picture nicely. BOB & Adult Group 1

2nd Mcloughlin’s Zantescwtch Pinball Wizard

8 month old black boy who is all masculine. Balanced throughout giving a lovely shape to him. Good head with dark eye, nice length of neck, chest developing and short back. Plenty of ring presence even at this age, he just needs time to come together on his movement which will come with age! BPIB & Puppy Group 2

1st Davis’ Kimetsu Ayuki Kori Go At Kasaishiro

14 month old bitch who makes a nice shape. Slightly longer than height at the withers. Good head appearing to be that distinctive blunt triangle with well developed cheeks, small eye, strong muzzle and large nose and triangular ears. Neck of moderate length, firm level back and enough chest. Rounded feet and good tail set. Moved well. BOB

2nd Davis’ Ryuukita Danu At Kasaishiro

Older bitch, who again had nice shape to her but preferred overall picture of 1. Larger in head and ear shape to 1 too. Decent body, firm level topline and well muscled. Moved ok.

Puppy (4 entries – 1 absent)

1st 6 month old cream sable dog, who started off quite nervy but soon came around. Lovely head and used his ears ell once his confidence came. Short neck, straight forelegs and neat feet. Moderate angulation throughout. He came alive on the move which gave him the class! Best puppy avnsc

2nd Cooper’s Dakata mischief maker

7 month old apricot dog. Nice head with dark almond shaped eye which was most expressive. Well belanced, I would just prefer a little more body. But moved really well showing his character and rear drive as he went.

3rd Hampson’s Zerachiel chicken on a chair

1st Nour & Isherwood’s Afterglow go with the flo

Black toy poodle who was full of character! She meant business on the day.

Beautiful overall shape, good for size and well balanced. Loved her head, very feminine and in proportion. Her coat was in impeccable condition and her movement just finished her off. So light and free but with plenty of reach and drive. Best avnsc & adult group 4

2nd Bird’s Minamia Destiny’s promise at Laderams

Another poodle I really liked but this time a miniature. Very pretty with dark almond eye. Good amount of length to neck and well placed shoulders. Well bodied. She has plenty of coat and she moved well. I just preferred the overall picture of 1.

Really nice boy off good quality. He unfortunately let himself down looking at his owner a lot of the move which is throwing his front off.

Dalmatian - Very raw 7 month old boy but all there. Just needs to develop. Liked his head - masculine and he moved well.

1st Jackson & Minshall’s CH Perrymere just bertie JW

9 year old german spitz klien who was in fabulous condition on the day! An absolute credit to his owner. Wedge shaped head, moderate stop and good eye. Small well set ears and used them to his advantage the whole time he was in the ring. Well laid shoulders, straight front and neat feet. Plenty of rib and moderate angulation throughout. Moved so well, showing off his brisk stride.

2nd Bannister’s Zhguchiy Perchik Iz Pride Men (imp RUS)

8 year old male Shiba inu who again was in great condition. Liked his shape and balance. Nice head with good eye and ear set. well bodied and in full coat. Moved well – just not as up for it as 1 which gave it away on the day.

3rd Cunningham’s Cracker of yulyeong (imp kor)

A lovely well balanced outline that screams breed type through and through. Loved her head, well proportioned. Good depth of chest and well ribbed. Her angulation front and back complemented each other which showed on the move with her effortless strides.

3rd Lhasa Apso - Thornhill’s Swandown Snow Storm

Nice head and dark eye with good length to his muzzle. Strong arched neck and enough body without been overdone. Well muscled throughout. Moved so well, keeping his topline while he went.

4th Toy poodle - Nour & Isherwood’s Afterglow go with the flo

1st Schipperke - Manners & Scales’ Roopec oh emm gee (NBT)

I really loved this girl, so cobby and shapely presenting a beautiful ‘typical’ outline. Strong short body with good topline. Femine head, used ears well. Just moved so well with her brisk action. Im sure she’ll have such a bright future and one I will watch with great interest. Pleased to see her go RBPIS.

Lovely feminine head and expression, good dentition and plenty of chin. Moderate neck flowing into well laid shoulders, plenty of rib. good amount of angulation. Moved well.

4th Tibetan Terrier – Davies’ Blue blood ambassador way to rock with waterley (imp SVK)

8 month old dog of good quality. Masculine head with dark eye and strong chin. Plenty of bone throughout. Deep chest, firm level topline and correct tail set. Good angles front front and back. Coat coming.
