Yeovil & District Canine Society
Yeovil & District Canine Society 3rd May
Gundog Group
I would like to that Yeovil & District Canine Society for inviting me to judge this well run show. It is a long time since I have enjoyed judging at an open show so much – it felt rather old fashioned (in a good way! ) & true to the spirit of open shows from the ‘dark ages ‘ when I started out in this crazy hobby. I understand that this was a record entry of Gundogs for this show & the sheer number of I had meant it was a very busy day & my emphasis was on giving each dog time in the ring to show themselves to advantage, this means notes on individual dogs had to be a little shorter than usual so we could get home at a reasonable hour, so apologies if some find my critiques a little short. I would like to extend my particular thanks to my excellent stewards who kept things running so smoothly.
