Papillons – Judge Helen Walsh (Purepixie)

Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge and also to the exhibitors who entered.

Puppy –

1st Lee's – Lafford Glorious – Black and white girl, just six months old with lots of promise. Head of the correct proportions with dark eye and pigment and lovely large mobile ears. She was dainty of medium size with a good spring of rib. Moved well coming and going when she settled, always holding her topline level. A lovely puppy. BP

2nd Milroy's – Metamorphic Expedition to Farthinghall – 7 month old tri-coloured dog, slightly bigger in size than 1st. He had plenty of coat for his age and a decent head with large mobile ears which he used to good effect. Ample spring of rib and moved well when he got into his stride. He did not seem fully confident in the ring today but a puppy with some good qualities.

Junior –

1st Headley's – Yeldaeh's Mr Fezzywig – 14 month old Red Sable and white boy. Head of good proportions with dark eye and large mobile ears. I just loved the appealing expression with this young man, he caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring. He had a correct silky coat which is progressing well and ample fringing for his age. Level topline which he held on the move and a lovely tail set when settled. Still maturing but very promising. RBOB

2nd Keown's – Yeldaeh's – Madame Defarge at Keomandi – 17 month old tri-coloured girl with lovely large mobile ears, appealing expression and a silky coat. This young lady moved well when she settled and had a good depth of chest.

Postgraduate –

1st Keown's – Keomandi Just call me Angel – 3 year old Red Sable girl with loads to like. She is dainty throughout and so well put together. Her head is in the correct proportions, large mobile ears and she has a gorgeous expression and dark eye. Lovely silky coat and correct tail set. On the move she excelled and was joy to watch move round the ring.

2nd Milroy's – Stratz's Voskova Vienna with Farthinghall – 17 month old Dark Red Sable girl with a great coat for her age. Unfortunately she was a little erratic on the move today and wasn't quite settled.

Open –

1st Keown's - Keomandi Fly me to the Moon – 3 year old tri-coloured dog, dainty butterfly with pleasing head and expression. Lovely dark eye and large mobile correctly placed ears. It is whilst moving that this dog really shows his quality covering the ring with a light flowing action. Coat of the correct silky texture and a fabulous tail set complete the picture. BOB

2nd Lee's - Lafford Ninja – 2 year old tr-coloured girl who was a joy to go over. Lovely head with good ear set and expression. Good spring of rib, well bodied and very pleasing confirmation. Abundance of silky coat and plenty of fringing and feathering. Today unfortunately she did not move as she can.
