ALASKAN MALAMUTE

Post Graduate (3,1) 1st Miss K Burgess’ Kabatics Dark Knight a 3 year old dog who caught my eye

as he entered the ring. At the top end of the standard for size, he presents an impressive picture of

strength and substance, being heavy boned and powerful throughout. He has a broad head with a

large muzzle, while his ears are of correct size and set. A strong topline was maintained both in stack

and on the move. He moved with impressive rear drive, covering the ground with power and purpose.

Completing the picture is his affectionate temperament. A very impressive exhibit. BOB

2nd Miss J Prescott’s Lueldar Beautiful Rosa of Bearnotham (IKC) 2 year old feminine bitch who still

shows good strength and substance. Friendly in temperament and presented in excellent condition.

She has a well-proportioned head with a correct scissor bite. Particularly pleasing was her correctly

set plume tail, which never stopped wagging throughout her time in the ring. She moved with purpose,

displaying good rear angulation and maintaining a balanced outline. Unlucky to come up against my

first-place winner on the day, but a quality exhibit with much to commend her.

Open (4,2) 1st Miss J Prescott’s Dreamwolves Time of My Life A well-balanced 5-year-old dog who

impressed with his overall quality and sound construction. He has a kind expression with correctly

shaped almond eyes, complemented by a slight stop. His strong, arched neck flows smoothly into

prominent withers, creating a pleasing outline. Well angulated in front with well-boned forelegs, he

stands on a solid foundation. Broad, powerful hindquarters provided the drive needed on the move,

and he covered the ground well while maintaining his shape throughout. A worthy winner of the

class.RBOB

2nd Mr & Mrs J Sheehan’s Powerhound’s Sparks Will Fly at Amaqqut (Imp USA) A friendly and

affectionate 3 year old bitch with a pleasing temperament, another one who’s tail wagged constantly.

She carries a correct coat of good coarseness and has nicely angulated hindquarters. Slightly

overweight on the day and a little down on her pasterns, which affected her overall presentation

somewhat. Nevertheless, she moved well around the ring and showed herself to good advantage

CANADIAN ESKIMO DOG

Junior (2,1) 1st Miss R E Bailey’s Akna Mittimatalik An impressive 18-month-old dog who carried

himself with confidence, appearing completely alert in the ring and fully aware of everything going on

around him. He possesses a wedge-shaped skull typical of this breed, with widely spaced light hazel

eyes contributing to his keen expression. Slightly more tuck-up than I would ideally prefer at present,

though this is not unusual in a youngster still maturing. He has the correct depth of chest and is

developing well, with his coat still coming on. His powerful hindquarters were evident both standing

and on the move, and once settled he moved well around the ring. A promising young dog with much

to look forward to as he continues to mature. RBOB

Open (2,1) 1st Miss R E Bailey’s Ir Ch Akna Panda Ir JCh A 3 year old dog totally deserving of his

titles and one who immediately commands attention. Majestic and masculine throughout, he oozes

confidence without ever appearing overdone. His large head is in excellent proportion to his broad

shoulders, giving a powerful yet balanced overall picture. Correct tail carriage was maintained on the

move, and his coat was of the correct texture for the breed. On the go-around he moved like a freight

train, displaying tremendous power and purpose while covering the ground with ease. A lovely boy

who epitomises many of the breed's qualities, a deserving BOB and I was very pleased to see him

shortlisted in the Working Group later in the day.

GREENLAND DOG

Open (3,2) Miss A J Blaney’s Bel Ch Nipnattens Strong Avaalaqiakulooq Fenrirkin (Imp Nor) Multi

JCh A very eye-catching 2-year-old who combines breed type with excellent condition. His attractive

tawny eyes contribute to his overall expression. He stands on straight front legs with correct, vertical

pasterns and has a short, muscular neck fitting the breed standard well. His proportions are pleasing,

displaying the desired 9:10 height-to-length ratio, giving him a balanced and workmanlike outline.

Well-muscled throughout, he demonstrated both strength and athleticism on the move, using himself

effectively and covering the ground with ease. A quality young dog with plenty to admire. BOB
