J D/B 1 (0) Mrs W G M Starkey – Fredanna Moonlight Cypres at Hamoura. A Black and Tan dog of 13 months. A large masculine dog with a good head, pleasing dark, well-shaped eye and correct proportions between the muzzle and skull, ears of correct size and placement, and correct bite, a muscular neck of good length leads into well-laid shoulder; his upper arm is a little shorter than ideal, though elbows are held tightly to his body, sufficient prosternum with a good length of keel, well sprung ribs of good length and correct rib to loin ratio, I would prefer to see more angulation through the hindquarters to give a better overall balance fore and aft. Unfortunately, he was being rather difficult for his handler on the day and didn’t move well around the ring making it difficult to assess his movement. RBOB

O D/B 1 (0) Mrs S Graham – Melriding Kaiserine at Ravold. A Black and Tan Bitch of 18 months. She was a touch nervous on the day, but has a nice feminine head with correct bite, ear set and overall shape, I would like a slightly better shape of eye but they are nice and dark, a good length of neck leads into well laid shoulders of good angulation, nice ground clearance, with a prominent prosternum which isn’t over done like a lot in this verity, she has a good length of keel, good length and spring of rib and a short loin, a lovely level topline which she held on the move although slightly spoilt by the fact she was a little un-settled when going round the ring, nicely angulated hindquarters which gave sufficient drive, good feet front and rear.
