Boston and District Canine Society Open Show 1 July 2026 

Pointers 

Many thanks to the society for their kind invitation to judge and to all those who entered under me and took my decisions with good sportsmanship. 

Puppy (4/-)

1. Oliver’s Wilchrimane Florin to Olivesong. 11-month-old orange and white dog who has been maturing steadily over his puppy career. Well bodied for his age with a kind expression, good breadth of chest and well sprung ribs. Muscular hindquarters with good angulation and well let down hocks. Holds topline well on the move with a smooth and regular gait. Best Puppy in Breed. 

2. Matthew’s Sonham Brimstone. 7-month-old black and white dog who is still very much a baby but shows potential. Neck springs cleanly from shoulder, appropriate front angulation and return of upper arm. Good expanse of second thigh and well let down hocks which will no doubt produce good drive when he settles into his movement. 

3. Irshad’s Droveborough Super Trooper.

Special Yearling (5/-)

1. Matthew’s Sonham Just A Pretty Belle (AI) JW. 23-month-old liver and white bitch with well-proportioned head and soft lip. Close set ears leading into a beautifully arched neck and sloping shoulders. Balanced and short coupled with good expanse of thigh and neat, well-arched feet. Moved well with forward ground covering reach. 

2. O’Neill’s Tenshilling Hello Stranger. 17-month-old black and white dog shown in muscular condition with intelligent enquiring expression, strong head and good breadth of chest. Well let down to elbows and good angulation with correct oval bone. Moved out well with drive and purpose.

3. Upton-Lovett & Upton’s Heartbury Endless Love with Roydack.

Limit (3/-)

1. Webb’s Tenshilling Jimmy Mack JW. 4-year-old orange and white dog with a well-proportioned head and kind, dark, expressive eyes. Good depth and breadth of chest with clear oval bone and sloping pasterns. Expansive second thigh, well let down at hocks. Powered around the ring effortlessly with confidence which set him apart in the class. 

2. Swannell’s Sharnphilly Black Abbott JW. 2-year-old black and white dog with beautiful head and most appealing expression. Shown in excellent condition with good balance, holding a lovely topline on the move. Well-knit neat feet on this dog which pushed for the class but preferred 1 on the move. 

3. Harrison’s Millpoint Hearts Desire JW. 

Open (6/1)

1. O’Neill’s Tenshilling Shboom JW. 2-year-old black and white dog with excellent ground cover and smooth forward reaching movement which won him the class. A soft expression and close-set ears. Strong angulation and a mature well-bodied and muscular chest with sloping shoulders and well sprung ribs. Well let down hocks and lovely, neat feet. Best of Breed. 

2. Harrison’s Millpoint Webley (Re-Imp). 2-year-old orange and white dog of different type to 1. Lovely head with dark eyes and well-defined stop, wide nostrils and concave muzzle giving the required dished appearance. Sound topline and lashing tail, just not the movement of 1. 

3. Oliver and Stilgoe’s Sh Ch Teisgol Love Is In The Air ShCEx.
