Judge James Kelly

Thank you to the committee for asking me to judge this breed that I have grown to love and enjoyed judging. Everyone has been so welcoming and sporting with my decisions and thank you for staying on such a hot day. Also thank you to the club for such a lovely gift.

V D 1/1abs

MPD 2/0

1. Randle - Luxipuk Pukkas Magic Touch. 6m Br/Roan Nicely balanced square puppy with good angulation and proportions. Good head proportions with divergent planes and good muzzle and jaw. Good spring of rib and short loin. Moved very well and very together for such a baby. Just needs to keep on the same track and we’ll see when he matures.

2. Smethurst - Luxipuk Perfect Matcha Tee. 6m O/W Rangier than his brother so not quite the proportions. Good angulation and feet. Everything needs to fill out to catch up with the growth spurt.

PD 4/1

1. Randle - Luxipuk Pukkas Magic Touch

2. Bishop & Norbury - Bedeslea Fifth of November. 9m B/W Super youngster so well schooled but just stands perfectly so naturally. Beautifully balanced with correct proportions and slight sloping topline from withers to croup. Nice and straight from the front and hocks with good rear angulation. Good head proportions muzzle slightly shorter than skull and slight stop. Coat texture good and curl coming on. Lovely smooth sound mover.

3. Smethurst - Luxipuk Perfect Matcha Tee

JD 1/0

1. Whitticks - Allsong Jelly Bean. 16m BR Well proportioned dog with a good curl in the coat. Head shape good. Good angulation front and rear and good muscle. Would prefer a touch longer in the leg but he moved with ease and drive.

ND 3/0

1. Randle -Luxipuk Pukkas Magic Touch

2. Sharp - Bedeslea Prada Milano. 2y BR Another nicely proportioned mature dog. Lovely head and strong jaw. Nicely filled out all over and muscled. I would like a touch more angulation at the rear. But he moved well.

3. Smethurst - Luxipuk Perfect Matcha Tee

PGD 1/0

1. Webb & Ferguson - Tigre Di Casa Ghini (ATC- BB0924840) 2y B/W Good head though I found his ears a bit small. Well muscled and well constructed front with good spring of rib. Falls away a touch too much and would prefer better rear angulation. Coat texture and curl good and moved ok

OD 4/2

1. Bond & Rawlinson - Ir Ch Pharises Spencer Tracy B/Roan 2y Very sound and well muscled dog. Head has the right proportions and good eye shape and correct ears. Neck is strong and well set into shoulders. Overall good square shape. Well sprung ribs and strong short wide loin. Moved very well perfectly straight going out and coming back. RBIS

2. Whittick - Arcticbreeze Turbulence at Allsong 5y B/W I liked his head and neck which goes into good shoulders. Good leg to body proportions and rear angulation. Nice curl to his rustic coat and good feet. Moved well.

VB 1/0

1. Whittick - Moonreed Warbler at Allsong 8y O/W Love her personality and remember her well. She has a good head and good front assembly. Her topline is waning with age and her feet aren’t as tight. But she is fit as a fiddle. BV

MPB 1/0

1 Lillicrap - Bedeslea Firecracker at Princhetts 9m B/W Very much a puppy. Construction is all good. Nice head and neck into good shoulders. One of several from a super litter. This one going through a growth spurt and quite rangy. So just needs to fill out and steady on the move but lots of potential.

PB 3/1

1. Norbury & Bishop - Bedeslea Remember Remember 9m B/W Really nice head and expression with correct proportions and slight stop. Good eye shape. Overall very well balanced. Good angulation front and rear and correct topline. BP and one to watch.

2. Pieta - Gameglow Trick or Treat 9m B/W Ok so a bit difficult to assess as she was very nervous. She needs to get used to being handled by everyone.

Get her used to meeting people at shows, cafes, ringcraft, every opportunity. In terms of construction, she looks to have good angulation and tight elbows. Rear angulation and topline look good.

JB 4/1

1. John - Curlycruz Wild Flower at Frommesbeck 15m B/W Well balanced overall with a good head nice proportions, would prefer a higher ear set. Body wise good leg to body proportions good well sprung ribs and nice angulation front and rear.

2. Skeggs - Allsong Jelly Baby 15m B/roan Good head proportions better set ear than 1 but not so good in hindquarters. Nice front angulation and good feet. Moved well.

3. Pieta - Gameglow Trick or Treat

NB 0

PGB 3/1

1. Maclennan - Bedeslea Prada Luisa 2y B/Roan Super head qualities and good front assembly. Plenty to like I might prefer a touch longer in the front leg as she rises a bit over the hindquarters but really a good balanced package who moved pretty well.

2. John - Curlycruz Wild Flower at Frommesbeck

OB 5/1

1. Norbury - Bedeslea Pradasphere 2y B/Roan Well she is one of a really outstanding litter. But she really is outstanding in herself. I loved everything about her. Her head has all the right proportions. But her outline and balance are exactly what a Lagotto should be. From the correct front to the topline and the rear angulation with perfect well let down straight hocks. On the move she covers the ground with ease straight out and back. A pleasure to watch. BOB

2. Bishop & Bishop - Bedeslea Prada Linea Rossa 2y B/Roan sister to 1 with similar qualities just a bit more of her. There is nothing not to like and I’m sure they’ll swap places many times.

3. Lillicrap - Mizani Sebio Iola 6y Brown Just wanted to add her as she a very nice little bitch. Good head properties and a very compact package. Moved well.

4. Whittick - Allsong Nuova Luna
