Cumberland Canine Association Open Show 16 August 2026

Thank you very much to the Committee for the invitation to judge at this show and for the hospitality and welcome provided by their team. Most appreciated after the long drive. Thank you to the experienced stewards, David and Elaine in Ring 2. The thank you gifts from the committee were a lovely thought, very tasty Chocolate Kendal mint cake, much appreciated.

Italian Greyhounds

PG - (0)

O - (2)

1st Miss H M Lister - Ch Florita Turbolento

2 year 2 month old Dog – Fawn and White Pied boy. Masculine but elegant head, excellent bite, dark expressive eyes, fine rose ears folded back, lovely length of muzzle into moderate stop and good skull width. Well muscled length of neck leading onto his shoulders and topline, which showed good S curves over loin. Neck leading into excellent depth of chest, S curves carried on underneath also. Good length of tail, held correctly. Fine coat, translucent skin on hind legs. Straight front legs, placed correctly underneath him, straight hare feet front and back, moderate tuck up, good bend of stifle. Movement was his forte today, he was vivacious and enjoyed himself with his owner/breeder. Good propulsion from rear going away, and from the side view, lifting his front legs correctly on return to me. Lovely to see a very happy Italian boy, showing off his movement. Thank you very much to the exhibitor for bringing along 2 excellent examples of the breed, either of which I could happily have taken home. BOB

2nd Miss H M Lister – Florita Tesoruccio

2 year 2 month old Bitch – Fawn girl, litter sister to the other exhibit in Open. Some white on some toes, thin white line on top of skull. A feminine, elegant, pretty head, good bite, dark pretty eyes, Fine rose ears folded back. Lovely muzzle length into moderate stop and good skull width. Elegant length of neck onto topline, showing reasonable S curve into shoulders, and good S curve over loin. Good length of tail, held correctly. Good depth of chest and good S curves carried on underneath. Fine coat, and translucent skin on hind legs. Straight front legs, straight hare feet front and back. I had difficulty assessing her movement today, despite being handled very sympathetically by another exhibitor for her breeder. Not relaxed, nor as vivacious as her brother today, could well be a different story on another day with her breeder handling her throughout.
