This bitch has a very pleasing head, enough stop and correct almond eye shape. Sound front assembly, strong pasterns with a muscular neck leading into clean shoulders. She has a firm topline and strong loin and adequate rear angulation, shown with abundance of coat of good rich colour and enough white markings, moved out well Res BOB

Littermate to previous class winner and one I have judged before. Attractive head with correct skull width and alert expression. Well laid shoulders, with straight front and strong pasterns, he is very well constructed throughout with a firm topline and adequate rear angulation. Presented in good coat of deep colour and presented excellent muscular condition. Shown to advantage in the challenge to take BOB

 A b/t baby with attractive markings. Very pleasing in head with excellent proportions and lovely expression. Correct straight front, enough bone with correct rear angles. Super movement for such a youngster, confident and effortless, which gave her BP

1st Clay & Dummett Americlass Macchiato with Almondsbury

Litter sister to previous class winner and very little to choose between them. Beautiful head , well balanced throughout with correct shoulder lay and compact body. Coat developing well, my BP was just more co-ordinated on the move today, but I expect close competition between these two as they mature.

1st Dummett & Vikhrova - Nova Story Boogie Woogie (Imp Mne) JW

 A quality tri-colour dog that I judged as a youngster and he has indeed fulfilled his early promise. Excellent head with correct proportions, correct finish to muzzle. Deep in shoulder, good neck length, he is well ribbed, firm back and well angulated stifles. A super stylish mover, holding his topline well and presented in excellent coat. BOB

1st Powell & Murrell Tureagh Crystal Cider, Large Munsterlander 

Stood alone today, pleasing in head, with correct skull width and kind dark eye. She is well constructed throughout with sound front assembly, enough depth, firm body with ribs well sprung and good width to thigh. Moved soundly but lacked sparkle in the heat when it came to the group. Best AVNSC

1st Smith’s Flyenpyg Swynona Ryder, Lab

A really smart black youngster who excels in head, feminine with enough skull width and kind eye. She has good bone, chest developing well with well sprung ribs excellent rear angulation with strong short hocks. I was impressed with her sound movement, kept it all together for a youngster.

2nd Saunders & Newton Teisgol Snow Prince Charmin, Pointer 

This o/w dog has a beautiful head, correct stop, strong neck and clean shoulders. Good straight front with enough bone, well ribbed and plenty of sweep to stifles. Very well-schooled for a youngster and a precise steady mover.

3rd Taylor-Kistner Frieljoanipa Enya Dreams, Spaniel Cocker

1st Booth & Oddie Lundgarth Fly The Flag JW, Pointer

This o/w dog presents a flowing and well balanced outline on the stack with good oval bone. Well shaped head, adequate stop with prominent occiput. Shoulders well laid and well ribbed back, strong muscular hindquarters and moved out well with correct tail carriage.

2nd Hostler Theondale High Hopes JW, Weimaraner

Pleasing in head with correct proportions with moderate stop, lovely eye colour and good ear length. Very clean over neck, sound front, level topline and correct back length, Nicely angulated behind and strong hocks. Presented in excellent coat and condition and moved steadily and soundly.

1st Magson’s Castlegolden Classy Girl JW, Breed: Golden Retriever

Feminine in head yet had good skull width, kind eye and expression. She is well-constructed with a pleasing clean outline, correct shoulder placement and deep chest. Well turned stifles with good width to thigh, I liked her colour and she moved well holding her topline.

2nd Bennion Menstonia Endless Dreams JW, WSS 

Presented a balanced and symmetrical outline when stacked, pleasing head and expression enough stop and correct ear shape. Well boned, with straight front, ribs well sprung and moderately angulated behind.

3rd Snook’s Moorbrook Mogul of March, English Setter

1st Graham & Yarrow Sh Ch Bonapartist Pickpocket, Breed: Brittany 

I have judged this top quality dog several times throughout his show career. Super head and expression with kind dark eye, correct shoulders and excellent construction Moves with drive from behind and has a great rapport with his handler. Shown in great condition as always.

2nd Watt & Taylor’s Senoia A Song of Ice and Fire, Breed: Cocker Spaniel 

A pleasing black bitch well made throughout, sturdy and compact and presenting a balanced outline. Correct head proportions with stop well defined. She moved well with level tail carriage, shown in good coat with ample feathering.

1st Pearson’s Int/ir Sh Ch/nld Ch/sh Ch Braccorion's Nesta Vipas, Breed: Bracco Italiano

This was a top quality veteran class and a privilege to judge. My first had a typical head, long with deep muzzle she is also feminine with kind expression. Excels in front with correct shoulder placement, she is balanced throughout and retains good muscular hindquarters. She powered round to win this top notch class. In superb condition for her eight years, a credit to her owner.

2nd Martin’s Garline Love So Deep Retriever Golden 

A very well constructed and sound bitch with excellent bone and substance. Feminine head with good width to skull and nice finish to muzzle. Correct layback of shoulder and return of upperarm and has good depth. A very sound mover with correct tail carriage.

3rd Snook’s Dalreavoch Northern Caper VW English Setter 

GUNDOG GROUP

Group 1 : Pipes & Groves Sh Ch Bushwacker Don Juan JW, Bracco Italiano

This super male Bracco topped this quality group with his powerful movement and correct head carriage. He is balanced in head with correct proportions, median line visible and deep muzzle. He presents an eye catching almost square outline, robust throughout and presented in hard muscular condition, very well handled to win the group and went on to take Res BIS. Well done.

Group 2 : Evans & Pavey Sh Ch Rivertone Inevitable at Joneva, Breed: Weimaraner 

One I judged as a raw excitable puppy, I loved her then and my opinion hasn’t changed. She has developed into a quality and elegant adult, most attractive head, kind eye with good ear length. Good angles fore and aft with correct back length. Comes into her own on the move with free flowing and driving movement.

Group 3 : Bott, Allen & Morgan Quensha Joker and The Queen, Breed: Irish Setter

A quality bitch who presents a super balanced outline. She is of a lovely size with a refined classic head, dark kind eye. Best of shoulders and front with matching correct rear angulation. Shown in excellent coat and condition. She is strong over croup and flowed round the ring to take a place in this strong group.

 Group 4 : Stephenson’s Bournehouse in Dreams at Steeplow, English Setter 

A very stylish young orange bitch, when stacked she is very well balanced both fore and aft. Excels in head, oval skull with correct proportions with adequate stop. Well developed in chest, correct short back, strong hindquarters and such a sound mover.

GUNDOG PUPPY GROUP

1st Tattersall’s Alanea Pennine Way, Breed: Irish R/W

A sound, impressive puppy who headed a quality group. He has an attractive head, adequate stop and good finish to muzzle. Correct front and already has good depth of chest, balanced construction throughout and a pleasing sweep to stifle. Lovely markings and rich red colouring complete the picture; I am sure he has a bright future ahead. Did a lap of honour in the BPIS ring due to close connection with judge.

2nd Oddie’s Riowood Cherry Jubilee at Sharnphilly, Pointer

Another quality puppy, Attractive o/w with a beautiful feminine head with correct stop. Shoulders well laid, with excellent front and firm topline. Moved out well with confidence, covering the ground well for such a youngster. One for the future.

3rd Calvert’s Calvdale Bell Heather, Cocker Spaniel

A very well constructed and sturdy blue roan bitch. Attractive head with adequate stop with correct low earset. Excels in front , with shoulders well laid, compact body and adequate rear angulation. Coat developing well with correct silky texture, went round well holding topline.

4th A Bott, Allen & Morgan Glitterati Lofty with Quensha (Imp Pol), Irish Setter

A really liked this quality youngster, refined pretty head with kind dark eye. She has a super outline with well laid shoulders and correct angles fore and aft. On first walk round I thought she may top the puppy group, but not co-operating in the final line up. She moved freely driving well off strong hocks, I predict a bright future.

GUNDOG RESERVE BOB GROUP

This was a quality line of dogs who had won Res BOB. 

1st Hardcastle & Bradley Castledogley Firenze JW, Hungarian Vizsla 

A feminine and elegant bitch, very pleasing in head with good eye colour. Good length of neck correct shoulder lay, short backed with strong croup with moderate rear angulation. Loved her rich coloured and shiny jacket, moved out gracefully with good rear drive.

2nd Tait’s Talintyre Fomhar Reiver, Irish R/W

A very well balanced and powerful dog from every angle, excels in front with good depth of chest and spring of rib. Attractive head, stop well defined and good finish to muzzle. He covered the ground well, driving from behind off strong hocks, shown in excellent coat and well muscled throughout.

 3rd Davis Rochevale Palm Reader JW Lab Ret 

A very sound black with a well proportioned head and kind expression. Correct shoulders with straight front, with elbows tight, ribs well sprung, well off for bone and substance. Moved out well both out and back with good rear drive.

4th Booth’s Lundgarth Ticket to Fly JW, Pointer 

 Really liked this young lady she is well balanced with a clean and flowing outline. Feminine head with well defined stop, lovely expression. Good shoulder placement and length and well angulated behind . Covered the ground well with correct tail carriage.

1st Hunt & Oliver Nowitna Cee Your A Klassic at Kwangchow JW, Chow Chow

A very well balanced youngster who commanded attention, attractive head, dark eye, correct bite and desired flat skull. She is so well constructed and muscular throughout with short level back, Excelled on the move with precise sound footfall. Presented in excellent coat of attractive deep red colour and very well handled.

2nd Finch Ancksunamun Fa Mulan JW, Welsh Corgi (Cardigan)

When stacked this young brindle bitch presented a pleasing outline with correct height to length ratio. Really liked her head with enough skull width, intelligent expression, correct dentition. Strong over loin and well angulated behind. Moved freely with a firm topline
