My thanks for the invitation to judge at this very welcoming and well run show. My steward, Tommy, kept the ring running smoothly.

SMOOTH FOX TERRIER – POST GRADUATE D/B - 1 

1. DAVISON – BOROVALE RIPLEY – pleasing, moderately narrow head, nice dark eyes an neat V shaped ears. Her neck was a correct length, front was straight with good bone, her loin was strong with well developed hindquarters. Moved well when settled. RBOB

SMOOTH FOX TERRIER – OPEN 2 – 1 AB

1. DAVISON – BOROVALE BISTO – he is a nice size and overall balanced in outline. Good masculine head, dark eyes and black nose. His ears were V shaped and of moderate thickness. His neck was a good length and has a correct lay of shoulder. He has nice bone and compact feet. He loin is strong and well angulated, muscular hindquarters. He was presented in good, hard condition. Coat was smooth and dense. When settled, he moved soundly. BOB BPIB, TG1, TPG1, RBIS, BPIS.

1. GRIFFITHS – BROCOLITIA AURORA – well presented, she has a feminine head, neat ears and a lovely expression. Good length of neck and nice bone and front, compact body with a strong loin. Coat was a good texture. Moved well BOB

LAKELAND TERRIER POST GRADUATE D/B – 1

1. CANNON AND CAMPBELL – PURSENET MOLLY MALONE – balanced head with V shaped ears, dark eyes. Ok in neck and body, coat was a good texture. Front movement more positive than rear movement. BOB BPIB

WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER POST GRADUATE D/B – 2

1. BURNS – BELLEVUE DEAL BREAKER FOR BURNEZE – Balanced in appearance, nicely proportioned head with dark eyes, correct bite and a black nose. His ears were small and carried erect. He has a straight front, and a level back with a strong loin. His hindquarters were muscular and has well bent hocks. Nicely presented, coat was a good texture. Rear movement was positive. RBOB

2. DICKISON – FELLROSE ANGEL OF THE NORTH – She has a nice feminine head, with a distinct stop, ears were nicely placed, her eyes were dark and nose was black. Her body was compact and has a strong loin. Her hindquarters were toned and nicely angulated. Coat was a good texture however not all of her coat was white in colour. Showed well.

WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER OPEN D/B – 1

1. BURNS – BURNEZE ALL ON MY TODD – nice size and balanced in appearance. She has a lovely proportioned head with a distinct stop and a strong jaw. Bite was good, her ears were small and carried erect. She has a nice length of neck, good shoulders and short, straight front. She has a deep chest and well arched ribs. Her back was straight with a strong loin. Hindquarters were well angulated and muscled. Coat was harsh with undercoat evident. Presented in excellent condition. Moved well both ways. 1. ROBINSON AND BROWN – HIGHTIMBERS OREO COOKIE ShCEx- HOVAWART – She has a nicely proportioned head and moderate stop, bite was good and her eyes were dark with a pleasing expression. Her front was straight and muscled, body was balanced with a deep chest. She covered the ground well. 

2. BENSTEAD – SCHNAUBERN GAKYID STAR – HUNGARIAN PUMI - nice size and squarely built with upright ears. Pleasing in head with a medium length of neck, his body was muscled and top line was straight. His coat was curly, he was not putting in much effort on the move, perhaps affected by the heat.

AV BRACE – 12 – 7 AB

1. TAIT – IRISH RED AND WHITE SETTERS – Two nicely matched exhibits, both in excellent condition and muscle tone, moved well together around the ring.

2. CUMBERLAND – MINIATURE SMOOTH HAIRED DACHSHUND - eye catching pair, similar colour and size, responding nicely to their handler. Moved well

3. CONNELLY AND MUMFORD – JACK RUSSELL TERRIER

AV BRED BY EXHIBITOR D/B – 17 – 11 AB

1. – CALWINIIS VALENTINA ROSE JW ShCEx OSW – WELSH CORGI (PEMBROKE) – Sturdily built in appearance, nice foxy head shape with an alert expression . Her ears were of moderate length, bite was correct. She has a nicely shaped chest with a moderate length of body and a level top line. Hindquarters were strong and flexible with straight hocks. Presented in good coat, moved soundly.

2. KENT – LYFEARON OFF WITH HER HEAD ShCEx – SIBERIAN HUSKY – Medium sized and balanced in appearance, her head was proportioned and her neck was a good length and thickness. Her body was a good shape with a level top line, hindquarters were muscled and powerful. Handled and showed well.

3. SCRIMGEOUR – VELVETINE WILLOW – LABRADOR RETRIEVER

AV NOT BRED BY EXHIBITOR D/B – 19 – 11 AB

1. RANDALL – PENNER LODGE MELISSA OFFICINALIS AT CELESTIARES (IMP ITA) – BLACK AND TAN COONHOUND – was presented in excellent coat and condition, nice balanced outline, she has good bone and feet. Neck was a correct length, ribs were good and hindquarters were muscled. She has a pleasing head and expression. Moved well.

2. SEARLE AND RAWLINSON – REFFTON TIBALT AT WHIPSEARLE JW CW25 (IMP ESP) - WHIPPET - I liked his size and body shape, he looked muscular but with elegance. Head was long and lean, with bright eyes and small ears. Front was straight with good shoulder placement, deep chest and a gentle arch over the loin. Hindquarters were muscled and toned, moved well both ways.

3. BIRD AND CADEN – HAWKSFLIGHT PAPARAZZI AT DOMBURG – GROENENDAEL

AV IN MEMORY OF ABSENT FRIENDS – D/B -11 – 5 AB

1. GERHOLD – NAVILIS VIVAT VIVALDI JW (IMP UKR) – RETRIEVER (GOLDEN) - He has a good broad head and powerful muzzle, bite was correct, eyes were dark and ears were moderate in size. Pleasing neck and shoulders, front was straight with good bone and nicely rounded feet. His body was balanced, hindquarters toned and nicely angulated. Moved well.

AV CHAMPION D/B – 12 – 9 AB

1. TAIT – SH CH TALINTYRE WINTER SHADOW – IRISH RED AND WHITE SETTER – impressive all masculine exhibit, he has a proportioned, broad head, pleasing eyes and a correct bite. His neck was muscular, a good front and round bone. His body was muscular with nicely sprung ribs. Hindquarters were muscular with a well bent stifle. He was presented in good condition and movement was sound.

2. KENT KENT SUTTON – CH. KORIFEY RECKLESS JWSHCEx OSW – DOBERMANN – a balanced and well built dog. His head was proportioned with a good depth of muzzle, pleasing eyes giving an alert expression. Ears were correctly placed. His front was straight with good pasterns and compact feet. He has a good depth of rib and well developed hindquarters. He was in excellent coat and condition. Moved well.
