Mancunian Boxer Club

Mancunian Boxer Club – 15th of August 2026

I would like to thank the committee of the Mancunian Boxer Club for inviting me to judge their open show. I had a fun and fulfilling day and was made to feel very welcome. This was my first breed show judging appointment, as I sadly withdrew from a previous one due to a family bereavement.

Before judging commenced, a minute’s silence was held to pay our respects to Yvonne Miller. As some of you may know, Yvonne played a huge part in supporting me when I first started showing back in 1999. Yvonne always made time for newcomers, sharing her enthusiasm and love for the breed, which is exactly what newcomers need. Following the completion of judging, it was lovely seeing exhibitors supporting newcomers.

I was pleased with my entry of 44 dogs and would like to thank each exhibitor for their entry.

Baby Puppy Dog (2 Entered, 1 Absent) 1st Payne Seacrest Voltaire at Birleyvale. Such an outgoing and confident youngster who enjoyed his time in the ring today. He was beautifully presented and in top condition. He has a striking outline, firm top line and tail set. Correct head for age. I loved his eyes and expression. He was full of character and made his handler work. For the challenge, his litter sister won on maturity. Both puppies full of promise for the future.

She has such a beautiful head and expression with correct, dark and melting eyes. Striking outline, nice short back with a good reach of neck that flows into a firm top line. Such a promising puppy who I would happily take home with me. She moved well with correct tail set. She was outgoing and showed character which I love in a boxer. She pushed her brother hard in the challenge to take BBPIS. 2nd Murfin & Cobbledick Farvalley Mini Mix. Another promising puppy with an elegant outline and a nice short back. Good reach of neck and shoulders. She made her handler work hard in the ring today, especially on the move. Pretty head with correct dark eyes with a melting expression. Preferred the mouth of my winner.

Correct head with a gorgeous expression and melting eyes. He moved around the ring with plenty of reach and drive. Good mouth, chin and tight feet. He was shown in top condition today with plenty of muscle definition. RBD/BPIS 2nd Spencer Ashronsha Mr Lover. A rangier boy than 1st place who gave his all in the class and at one with his handler. Shown today in top condition with a gleaming coat. Head still needs time to develop, but with time should come along nicely. Correctly set ears. Lovely bone. Beautiful eyes and expression. He moved well for his owner with plenty of reach and drive.

Junior Dog (3 Entered, 1 Absent)1st Robinson Arkeney Fusion. At one with his handler and showed well. Great condition with good muscle definition. He was sadly entered into the incorrect class therefore had to withdraw from the line-up. 2nd Saafan Geovanic Roaming for Love. A rangier boy than 1st place. Refused to cooperate with his handler during the class. Unfortunately, his movement and lack of cooperation let him down today. I thought he performed much better in the challenge than he did in his class. He was on his toes and looked great in profile. Liked his reach of neck that flowed nicely into a short level top line and well angulated quarters.

I loved his clean, correct head with wide nostrils. Good mouth and evident chin. Melting expression with lovely dark eyes. Moved brilliantly with good drive from behind. At only 18 months old, he still has plenty of time to fully mature. Not overdone or exaggerated in any way. Handled well to take BD/RBIS
