Larkhall & District Canine Club - 27th June 2026 I had a very enjoyable day with some very nice quality exhibits entered. The Whippet judging took place outside which was somewhat challenging with both the wind and also the length of the grass. Generally the dogs coped well with both, however movement was difficult to assess in some cases. Whippet Puppy Entered: 3 | Absent/Withdrawn: 1 A difficult class with 2 puppies at very difficult stages of development 1st 571, Leslie, Mrs. Pauline, GLENLOGIE BLUE ENDEAVOUR TAF, Dog, 16/11/2025. 7 months blue baby who coped very well in the environment here. Lots of maturing still to do but he showed an elegant outline on the stand and when settled a promising style of movement. 2nd 570, Beattie-Nash, Mrs. Jennifer, SILKRIDGE TIME TO PARTI, Dog, 22/12/2025. 6 months old and presented in a good body condition. At a very different stage of development to 1 and needing time to fulfill his promise. Well handled with a steady correct movement in both directions. Absent 572 Whippet Junior Entered: 1 | Absent/Withdrawn: 0 1st 573, Hunter, Mr A, Mrs D, Miss G, COLLOONEY THE ARGONAUT AT SULAHMARA, Dog, 22/06/2025. Just turned the year and enjoying his day out, giving his handler a run for his money. Appealing head and eye, good length of body and with good bone and feet. When settled movement was sound out and back. Whippet Limit Entered: 6 | Absent/Withdrawn: 2 1st 574, Beattie-Nash, Mrs. Jennifer, RAILFIELD RAINSTORM, Dog, 31/10/2023. I liked this boy a lot, coming on 3 years and with a lot of potential. Correct head and eye. Very nice outline and underline on the stand and also on the move. Sound out and back and also showing a good profile gait. I felt he could do with a little more body condition which cost him being considered for higher awards. 2nd 575, Mallinson, Mrs. Ellen, EDENWHIP A MOMENT IN THYME, Bitch, 23/08/2024. Lovely brindle girl with lots to like. Head and body proportions correct and of a nice size. She showed both elegance and a good underline. She moved out well but had a tendency to lift a little in the front, possibly due to the long grass. 3rd 576, Murton, Mrs. Yvonne, CYANGRANGE CARPE DIEM, Dog, 16/04/2024 Whippet Open Bitch Entered: 5 | Absent/Withdrawn: 1 1st 581, Leslie, Mrs. Pauline, WINDWALKER AFISSA, Bitch, 14/07/2020. I really liked this girl who was nearly 6 years of age. Lovely type of fawn bitch with the profile shape I was looking to find. She presents a lovely picture both standing and moving. Graceful and elegant whilst retaining enough substance for her size. She moved soundly with a typical gait when settled, another who maybe struggled slightly with the ground but did enough to show me her quality. 2nd 580, Burton, Mr. Kevin, LOROLI DEVIL IN THE DETAIL, Bitch, 03/07/2025 - (BPIB, Puppy Group 2). Really nice 11 month old puppy who was ultimately Best Puppy and I believe gained Puppy Group 2. Took her time to settle but when she did she showed a very promising movement. She still has a lot of maturing to do but I liked her a lot. 3rd 582, Mallinson, Mrs. Ellen, EDENWHIP VERA, Bitch, 08/01/2021 Whippet Open Dog Entered: 4 | Absent/Withdrawn: 0 A very nice class of quality males, which was a pleasure to judge. 1st 31, Hunter, Mr A, Mrs D, Miss G, CH COLLOONEY WAS MEANT TO BE AT SULAHMARA JW SCHEX OSW, Dog, 11/06/2021 - (BOB). 5 year old boy who has matured very well. I liked him for overall size and correct amount of substance. Has an added arrogance about him that says “I am here”. Lovely neck and shoulder and balanced angulation throughout. He pipped the 2nd dog who I also liked very much as today I felt that he showed a slightly better underline and the finish of the croup. He moved really well in all directions and won a well deserved Best of Breed here. 2nd 585, Brooks, Mrs. Shonagh, COLLOONEY FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (JW), Dog, 08/08/2023. Another dog I have judged previously and like very much. Of a very similar style to the 1st and pushed hard in this class. He appeals a lot for his head and eye and again is of good size and correct substance. Another who moved well today. 3rd 587, Mallinson, Mrs. Ellen, EDENWHIP OREGANO JW, Dog, 23/08/2024 Welsh Corgi (Pembroke) Open Entered: 3 | Absent/Withdrawn: 0 1st 340, Hyndman, Miss Megan, TWINAN RAISE THE STAKES RL2, Bitch, 17/09/2023 - (BOB). Not quite 3 years old bitch who was shown in good condition and handled to her advantage. I appreciated her breed type, with alert expression & good neck and front angulation as well as strong rear. She moved out freely & soundly in all directions to win Best of Breed today. 2nd 43, Lindsay, Miss Molly, CALWINII'S LEMON BUTON FERN, Bitch, 20/01/2025. Coming up to 18 months old, with lovely outgoing personality which showed on the move. Alert to handler, good depth to chest with good neck and front angulation. Would have liked slightly more body condition which will hopefully come with maturity. 3rd 341, Lindsay, Miss Molly, GINGERDARE PUMPKIN, Dog, 23/05/2024
