My thanks to the committee for their kind invitation to judge at this lovely venue, where I had the pleasure of judging these breeds. I would also like to thank the exhibitors for their entries and support. Despite a long journey in mixed weather conditions, it was an enjoyable appointment.

SPANISH WATER DOG

1st – Mourama Altea (BOB)

White and brown mature dog, standing alone in this class. Solidly built and muscular, slightly longer in body with moderate bone. Head in proportion to body with correct balance and typical expression. Coat of correct texture with appropriate curl. Presented a balanced and typical outline and moved soundly.

1st – Arcticbreeze On The Double (AI)

Brown/roan dog of good proportions and type. Pleasing head with a typical expression. Well boned with a straight, muscular topline. Coat of correct woolly texture and curl, presented in good condition. Moved with good drive and balance to take the class.

2nd – Il Granaio Dei Malatesta Valeria Velez of Pendlebrier (Imp Ita) JW

Brown bitch with a pleasing head, though slightly longer in muzzle. Shorter in neck. Good coat with plenty of undercoat. Level topline with a slightly higher croup. Moved soundly, but not quite the balance or drive of the winner.

1st – Pharises Spencer Tracy (BOB)

Brown and white dog of medium size with a square, well-balanced outline. Pleasing head with good eye and expression. Short, strong neck leading into well-constructed shoulders, straight forelegs and compact feet. Well-proportioned body with correct topline. Coat of correct woolly texture with good curls. Moved freely and smoothly with good drive, maintaining his outline throughout. A well-deserved Best of Breed.
