I was lucky enough to be treated to two excellent stewards during the day, Hazel and Emma, huge thank you. Super show, beautifully run, lots of hard work for a dedicated committee. Pleasing entries and some lovely dogs present today.

1st Claela Laughter is Timeless with Soufriere (Marshall), 22 month old bitch with pleasing balanced head, correct ears of good length, lovely dark eye and super expression, good pigmentation, lovely and straight from front, nice tight elbows, pleasing rear angles, nice strong topline, tail well carried, very sound fluid mover and lovely temperament. BOB

1st Soufriere Paserelle Bateau (Marshall), 5 year old good sized male, liked his head and expression, lovely eye, correct ears, nice and straight from front, good chest depth, good length of neck, strong through topline, well set and carried tail, steady sound mover, RBOB

2nd Soufriere One Vision JW VW (Marshall), 8 year old beautiful head and expression , so pretty, dentition showing age, shorter on leg, sound mover with attitude, in lovely coat and condition and clearly loves the show ring.

Special Yearling (3:1)

1st Beaujons Susannah (Wood), 13 month old bitch, a little bit distracted but did enough to shine, very feminine, skull of good length and width, muzzle just slightly shorter, correct expression and well set correct ears, pleasing balanced angulation, slight rise over loin and strong topline, well muscled, good width to rear, preferred her overall balance and length to height ratio, moved very well when concentrating. 

2nd Beaujons Sophie Avec Braego (Osbourne), 13 month old litter sister to 1, taller girl, little bit straighter in front, but nice straight forelegs, elbows not as tight, pleasing head, shorter in muzzle, lovely eye and well set ears, a little more squarer in overall outline than 1 and not quite the freedom of movement, very sound and eager to please.

Post Graduate (2:1)

1st Jamar Miss Skylar (Bishop), 4 year old bitch feminine head with good correct balance, and well set ears or correct length, very pretty expression, nice and straight in front and good tight elbows, strong loin, well set tail, sound on move, particularly good coming towards.

1st Afterglow Curtain Call Avec Roxastan (Townsend), 6 year old top size male, liked his head for masculinity, muzzle skull balance, ear set and carriage, calm dignified expression from correctly placed and shaped eyes, moderate balanced angulation, movement correct with reach and drive and effortless, coat could be harsher. BOB

2nd Beaujons Wayne Sleep with Braego (Osbourne), 2 year old male, smaller size, very sprightly, head balanced, kind expression, eager to please, lovely front with excellent forechest, balanced outline with very good angulation, super ground covering movement. RBOB

1st Laakso Kindameanttobe for Carolon (Allchin), 2 year old bitch, so very pretty, never stopped using her ears, very feminine head and expression, earset could be marginally higher, lovely dark eye, pleasing straight foreleg, nice tight elbows, well set tail, lovely profile movement, lovely tight feet.

1st Ch Norvin Joyeux Noel (Threadgold), 7 year old absolute quality, beautiful filled wedge shaped head, best earset, beautiful dark oval eye, beautifully straight from front, lovely width to chest and tight elbows, super topline and tailset, correct coat, good bone and substance, lovely square overall outline, so light and effortless on the move. BOB & GP2

1st Osterfen Himeji (Southwick), 10 month old fawn/white male, head long and lean, tapering to muzzle with good underjaw, lovely dark eye, rose ear, good bone, excellent knuckled oval feet, lovely body shape, well ribbed, moved well covering ground with elegance. BP & PGP3

2nd Crosscop Peekaboo Mackjama (Strong & Clinton), 10 month old dark fawn/white male, lovely body shape and depth of chest, head lean, pleasing eye, nice and straight in front with strong arched feet, lovely fill in front, difficult to separate these two, just preferred the bone of 1, another sturdy and graceful mover.

1st Bowdonia Elphaba JW (Thomas), 22 month old beautifully marked light brindle and white bitch, she is so feminine and so elegant, dark expressive eyes, correct ear, super head, nice tight lips, good underjaw, graceful arched neck, lovely shoulders, pleasing overall shape, lovely topline and underline, loved her profile movement. BOB & GP4

1st Bowdonia Sky Full of Stars JW (Thomas), 3 year old half sister to 1st in SY, light brindle with good bone and lovely overall shape, lovely front, well arched feet, beautiful overall outline, stands over ground well, good topline and underline, well set tail, graceful mover.

2nd Crosscop Kiss Me Here for Mackjama (Strong), 3 year old fawn and white male with super handsome head, good eye and ear, lovely strength to underjaw, nicely knuckled feet, strong boy but very supple, good underline and ribbing, top size and sound supple mover.

1st Brochinbelle Ooh La La at Bowdonia (Thomas), nearly 6 year old bitch, lovely length to head, good width, kind dark eye, well set ear, strong enough in underjaw, nice clean head, lovely straight from front, good depth of chest, pleasing overall outline, well set tail, covers the ground effortlessly on the move RBOB

2nd Silkridge Yoko Ohno (Edwards), 6 year old darker brindle and white bitch, stronger underjaw than 1 which I liked, has lovely knuckled feet, pleasing bone, well ribbed with good topline and good underline, lovely croup and well muscled, just felt she was a little straighter in front angulation and not quite as balanced on the move.

Puppy (2:1)

1st Solyomvari Mara Amoredax (imp Hun)(Norris), 7 month old b/tan Longhaired Dachshund bitch, super bone, lovely front and feet, good keel, strong but feminine conical head, well set fringed ears, pleasing rear angulation, well set tail, covers ground well on move, still needs to firm a little on the rear, super towards and profile. 1st Lauralee Dreams of Magic at Stookewood (McLean), 16 month old Basset Hound bitch, beautifully balanced overall, lovely houndy head with good skull, correct brow, lovely muzzle topline, lips correct, strong bone, good forechest, nice tight elbows, just enough wrinkle without exaggeration, tight large feet, very strong in rear, good backline, excellent earset and such a sound mover, very interested in the ground as I would expect, really liked her. BAVNSC and HGP1

2nd Cloudside Xander around Braego (Osbourne), 13 month old Wire Haired Dachshund male, good size and lovely bone, excellent coat texture, lovely head and eye, strong bone, lovely keel, very good shoulders, tight strong feet, beautiful overall outline for balance and ground clearance, well set tail, just needs to firm up in rear yet.

1st Hyndsight Better Believe It (Rose), 2 year old Deerhound male, loved this boys head, kind eye, lovely expression, correct earset, lovely strong bone, liked his overall balance and outline, strong bone, correct topline, well ribbed back, strong loin, moved with typical grace and power. RBAVNSC

2nd Dajean Surely Keifer at Willowmist (Ward-Blower), 3 year old chocolate, Mini Wire Dachshund, a character, full of himself, liked his shape and ground clearance, cheeky expression, balanced head, well placed eye and set of ear, strong level topline, moved well.

2nd Royal Time Di Vignazzi (Dalla Palma), Cirneco Dell’Etna, 3rd in Special Yearling, super Cirneco Dell’Etna male of 14 months, pleasing headpiece, beautifully set erect ears, eye toning with coat colour, good underjaw and some strength to muzzle, slight cheek development, clean head, arched neck, lovely straight front, correct topline and correct tuckup and ribbing, correct croup and pin bones, moderate angles front and rear, square overall outline, with lovely length of leg, moved very well with elegance and some style.
