Shetland Sheepdog

Was a little disappointed in some dogs movements today but the surface of the arena may have had a part to play in that. A few with short upper arms and a few with domed not flat heads. Some nice dogs went without top honours and some difficult decisions.

Pleased to see my puppy took pastoral Group 1

Puppy (1,0)

1st Tooralie’s Fortune Teller (B) Owned by Mrs S J Walker

Pretty feminine bitch with a great coat. Lovely overall shape and I am sure will be one to watch as she matures.

Lovely planes and wedge shape to her head, correct eye and sweet tipped ears used well.

Well angulated and enough bone, forlegs strait and elbow equidistant between withers and ground. Moved really well despite the flooring and I considered her for RBOB

Junior (2,1)

1st Jaelis Mystique Realism (B) Owned by Mrs A & Mr M Ritchie

This lovely girl is just out of puppy by 1 day, she is a nice type and has a good coat for her age. Lovely head planes, correct flat head and ear set.

Level back held on the move. A little maturing yet to do all over. Also 2nd in PG

Post Graduate (5,0)

1st Shellamoyd Midnight Max at Savataurus (D) Owned by Mr P J & Mrs P Savage

A lovely boy who I have judged before and he does not disappoint. Needs his teeth cleaning but he is a lovely overall shape and is in size although his profuse coat can make him look a little on the big side. He has good bone is well angulated and moves really well even on poor ground. RBOB

2nd was 1st in Junior

Open (2,1)

1st Willowthorn Kobalt Star By Savataurus JW JCH VW VCH OSW SHCEx CVW26 (D) Owned by Mr P J & Mrs P Savage

I have done this boy well before and he has not lost is by becoming a veteran. Now 10 years old and his coat, shape and movement do not show his age a lot. He is greying a little round the muzzle but he still takes the eye. He is the correct shape and size, has good bone, a lovey wedge shaped head and sweet little tipped ears, not used to their best today (he did put them up occationally) but the hall was echoing. He moves so well. Pleased to award him BOB
