Thank you to the hard working committee for the invite to judge & the exhibitors for bringing me your wonderful quality dogs. I had two brilliant stewards who kept the ring moving and spirits high. 

Boxer 

L (1) 1st Van-Beck & ONeill ERBO XCELLENCE WITH NEWLAITHE. Lovely 22-month female of excellent type and balance. Feminine head with correct proportions, good breadth of muzzle and pleasing dark eye giving bright, intelligent expression. Strong, arched neck into well-laid shoulders, square body with good depth of chest, firm topline and well-muscled hindquarters. Moved freely with reach and drive, maintaining a noble outline. Presented in superb condition with correct short, glossy coat. A quality young bitch with much to admire. BOB & WG3.

O (1) 1st Woodhouse, Woodhouse & Kershaw ARITAUR NIGHTSHADE INTO MOONGATES. 7 mouth old blk/tan bitch. Head good proportion to body, correct shape, dark almond eye, ears neat and set correctly. Correct dentition. Long & lean neck. Correct angulation fore/aft. A little naughty on the move, but once settled moved with reach & drive, promising youngster. BOB, BPIB & WPG4.

O (2) 1st Duff TITANBEARS EXCOMMUNICADO JW IR JCH ShCEX OSW. Nearly 3 year old Black male, who took my eye as soon at he entered the ring, with his balanced outline & wonderful breed type. Lovely broad head, correct pigmentation, dark almond shaped eye, relatively small correctly set ear. Correct scissor bite. Just the right amount of substance for age and not over done. Excellent angulation fore/aft. Feet large and rounded. Tail correctly set. Effortless movement, presenting good reach/drive. Clean coming/going. A dog who looked like he could for fill his draughting duties and still have energy in the tank. BOB & G1. 

2nd Duff IR CH TITANBEARS VAINGLORIOUS JW ShCEX OSW. Another quality exhibit from the same kennel. Nearly 5 years old Black male, who presents many of the same qualities of the class winner but just preferred the movement of 1st place today. RBOB & RBOB in Show. 

Rottweiler

L (2,1) 1st Topham & Maltas VIRLEES WILD AT HEART. A very naughty 6 month old female. Good overall package. Correct head ratios, dark almond eye, small pendant ears. Scissor bite. Ok fore/aft with maturing to do. Feet round and compact. Correct tail set. Was a little giddy on the move but once she settled clean coming/going. BOB, BPIB & PG3.

P (2) 1st Thompson CALLADANO BALOU BELLE - Portuguese water dog. Just 7 month old black female. Balanced youngest who is showing lots of potential. Head correct size and proportions for age. Round dark eye, heart shaped dropped thin well set ear. Correct dentition. Neck short, correct angulation fore/aft. Good body proportions. Round slightly flat feet, medium set tail. Moved true coming/going with lively short steps. BP. 

2nd Hooley AKNA ZIRA. Canadian Eskimo Dog. A pretty 7 month old spirited female, who gave the handler a hard time. Excellent breed type, but I think would of rather been anywhere else today. Great angulation fore/aft. Good body proportions. Lovely head, dark eye and correct dentition. Movement was a little erratic, with a little more schooling, I’m sure this girl will do well.

L (3) 1st Thompson CALLADANO AMADEUS ANDANTE Portuguese water dog. Promising 18-month-old black male of pleasing almost square outline with strong shoulders and good bone. Well-proportioned head, dark attentive eye and correct ear placement giving true breed expression. Compact body with good depth of chest, short strong loin and well-muscled hindquarters. Moves with lively, purposeful action and good drive. Correct tail carriage, well-textured coat and good presentation once settled. 

2nd Hooley AKNA PALMATUM. Canadian Eskimo Dog. Strong, impressive 19-month male with excellent bone, substance and true powerful outline. Masculine head with correct wedge shape, keen expression and well-set ears. Deep chest, firm topline and muscular hindquarters giving purposeful, steady movement. Harsh, dense coat well presented and tail correctly carried. A sound young dog showing strength, character and plenty of future promise.

O (3,1) 1st Jones KING OF THE MANOR BY SUNDABISH. Bullmastiff 21-month male who immediately commands attention. Superb strength and symmetry without a hint of coarseness. Masculine head with broad skull, well-filled cheeks and correct short, square muzzle, giving a powerful yet intelligent expression. Excellent depth and width of chest, strong topline and beautifully muscled quarters, all contributing to balanced, purposeful movement. Presented in hard condition with correct coat and pigmentation. A tremendously impressive young dog of true breed type. BOB & WG4. 

2nd Hooley ANKA SNOQUALMIE FAIRY FIREFLY. Canadian Eskimo Dog. Well-made 20-month female with pleasing outline, good bone and correct substance. Feminine head with typical expression, strong neck into well-laid shoulders and a deep, well-developed body. Moves with power when settled, showing the strength and endurance expected of the breed. Coat excellent and well presented. A quality youngster who didn’t always cooperate today, but one with obvious merit.

G2 ALASKAN MALAMUTE Burgess & Page CEDARCREEK THE ONLY WAY IS UP. Impressive nearly two-year-old male of excellent type, heavily boned and powerfully built without appearing short on leg. Strong masculine head of correct breadth, good ear set and dignified expression. Deep chest, firm topline and well-muscled hindquarters giving steady, tireless movement with good drive. Dense, correct coat and great tail set, lovely overall balance. A quality young male with great presence.

Promising 6-month-old grey and white male with attractive outline and good overall balance for his age. Masculine head developing well, with correctly set ears and keen, mischievous expression. Clean neck into well-laid shoulders, good topline and body proportions. Moved light and free on his feet, showing the effortless action typical of breed. Well presented in good coat. A very appealing youngster who has a bright future ahead.

V (3,2) 1st Holden ROTTKNIGHT BACH. Lovely 7-year-old Rottweiler female clearly enjoying her day out. Feminine yet substantial with pleasing balance and correct proportions. Kind expression, strong neck into well-laid shoulders, good depth of chest and ok topline. Moved soundly with steady, purposeful action. A happy veteran with plenty of sass still on show.

O (4,1) 1st Amis & Stanley DROYALES PRESENT VERDANDI JW. Outstanding 2-year-old male with superb presence and excellent breed type. A striking dog who immediately catches the eye with his balance, strength and confidence. Masculine head of correct proportions, keen intelligent expression and well-set ears. Strong neck flowing into well-laid shoulders, firm topline and good depth of chest. Well boned forequarters with correct angulation. Powerful muscular hindquarters. He moved freely with a ground-covering stride, maintaining balance and topline throughout. He displayed the endurance, soundness and athleticism expected of the breed. Presented in excellent coat and condition. He was self-assured and composed, strutting his stuff with confidence. A quality young male combining type, structure and movement. BOB & G2.

2nd Green BOSCAHAUS FRIDAY VON EMYZGEM. Well-made 23-month-old bitch of good overall type and balance. Feminine head with strong muzzle and pronounced black mask giving pleasing expression. Soundly constructed with good neck, firm topline and well-developed body. Hindquarters strong producing steady, purposeful movement. Presented in good coat and condition. A solid, honest exhibit. RBOB. 

Old English Sheepdog

O (2,2) 1st Richardson NIEDERSACHEN’S PRIDE OVER NIGHT SENSATION AT STORINBLU (IMP DEU). Athletic 3-year-old male with pleasing balance and strength while retaining correct breed substance. Masculine head with intelligent expression, good skull proportions and correct ear carriage. Strong neck into well-laid shoulders, firm topline with the characteristic gentle rise over the loin. Body compact yet athletic, with good depth of brisket and well-sprung ribs. Well-muscled hindquarters giving purposeful drive, moving freely with the typical rolling action. Coat profuse with correct harsh texture, well presented without exaggeration. A fit, capable male combining breed type with athleticism and sound movement. BOB G4

2nd Fawcett STARJANDA MR BRIGHT SKY. Nearly 3-year-old male sharing many of the quality attributes of the class winner. Well-balanced with good substance, masculine head and pleasing intelligent expression. Strong neck into well-laid shoulders, firm topline with correct rise over the loin and a compact, well-muscled body. Coat profuse with correct texture and well presented. Moved soundly and with purpose, maintaining overall balance, although I preferred the greater fluency and drive of the winner on the day. A quality male with plenty to commend. RBOB

O (3,2) 1st Helm ANNECY’S MISCHIEVIOUS MAX. 2 year old Very eye-catching male full of charm and character. Well balanced and medium in size with a classic smiling expression that wins attention instantly. Attractive wedge-shaped head, correct almond eyes and neat ears. Strong neck into well-laid shoulders, firm muscular body and good loin strength. Moved freely with agile drive and style, clearly enjoying his time in the ring. Tail well carried, coat thick and correctly textured, well presented. BOB 

Shetland Sheepdog

P (2) 1st Ferguson FERVAILA BLACK CUILLIN Quality 9-month-old tricolour male of lovely type and balance. Refined, elegant head with correct wedge shape, dark almond eye and well-placed semi-erect ears producing a sweet yet alert expression. Good length of neck carried proudly into well-laid shoulders, level topline and correct slightly longer outline. Chest developing well for age with good spring of rib. Straight forelegs, firm pasterns and well-angled hindquarters. Moved with light, graceful action and promising drive, maintaining balance throughout. Coat abundant with correct texture and well presented.BP & PG1.

2nd O’Connell SIONNACHDU BALACH OR. Pretty 8-month-old sable and white bitch of pleasing type and outline. Feminine head with sweet expression, good ear carriage and correct wedge shape. Nicely balanced with good neck into well-laid shoulders, level topline and developing body for her age. Coat abundant with attractive colour and well presented. Today she appeared a little overwhelmed by the occasion which affected her performance, but her quality is evident.

J (2) 1st Ferguson FERVAILA BLACK CUILLIN.

2nd Ferguson FERVAILA BLUE DAHLIA. Quality 9-month-old blue merle male, litter brother to the class winner and sharing many of his virtues. Attractive head with sweet, alert expression, correct ear carriage and good wedge shape. Nicely balanced throughout with good neck, level topline and developing body for age. Moved freely with light, graceful action when settled. Coat well presented. A very promising youngster who pushed the class winner.

L (4) 1st Savage SHELLAMOYED MIDNIGHT MAX AT SAVATAURUS. Good quality 3-year-old tricolour male with pleasing overall balance and breed type. Masculine yet refined head with sweet, intelligent expression and correct ear carriage. Well-proportioned body with good neck into clean shoulders, firm topline and adequate depth of chest. Moved freely with light, graceful action, maintaining balance throughout. Coat well presented with clear, rich colour. A sound, honest exhibit showing maturity, character and plenty to like. RBOB. 

2nd O’Connell KISHDIGRA ATOMIC GODDESS OF SIONNACHDU (IKC). Pleasing 19-month-old female with good type and overall balance. Feminine head and correct ear carriage. Nicely proportioned throughout with good neck into clean shoulders, firm topline and body developing well for age. Moved soundly and maintained a graceful outline. Didn’t quite show herself at her very best today, but her quality is clear. A promising young bitch who should continue to do well as she gains confidence and ring experience.

O (3) 1st Welford CH RISTINE EMERALD. Exquisite 7-year-old tricolour bitch of exceptional quality, beautifully balanced and a wonderful example of the breed. Feminine, refined head with correct wedge shape, dark expressive eye and perfectly carried ears creating a truly sweet and intelligent expression. Elegant neck flowing into well-laid shoulders, level topline and ideal body proportions, all contributing to a harmonious outline both standing and moving. Chest well developed, ribs well sprung and hindquarters strong and well angled, allowing her to move with effortless grace. She covered the ground smoothly with balanced reach and drive, maintaining her topline throughout. Coat in immaculate condition with rich, clear tricolour markings, expertly presented to enhance her natural beauty without exaggeration. Shown impeccably, responding to her handler with precision and confidence, clearly enjoying her time in the ring. A delightful veteran who combines maturity, quality and ring presence — a real credit to her owner and breeder. BOB & G3. 

2nd O’Connell DEGALLO GOLDEN GIRL AT SIONNACHDU. Lovely 2-year-old sable bitch of clear quality who pushed hard for the class win. Feminine, well-balanced with an attractive head, sweet expression and correct ear carriage. Good neck into well-laid shoulders, firm topline and nicely proportioned body. Moved freely with light, graceful action and maintained balance throughout. Coat well presented with rich sable colouring enhancing her outline. Another quality girl with much to admire who made the winner work and should continue to do well.

O (1) O’Connell SURTSEY’S BERA FRA SJALANDI (IMP DNK). Icelandic sheepdog. Attractive 8-month-old female of pleasing type and correct rectangular outline. Feminine head with sweet, intelligent expression and well-set, mobile ears. Good neck into well-laid shoulders, level back and nicely developing body for her age. Hindquarters balanced and showing promise of good drive. Coat thick and well presented with clear colour and markings. Today she was full of youthful enthusiasm and rather naughty at times, which affected her overall performance, but her quality is evident. A lively, confident youngster who should fulfil her potential as her ring manners and maturity develop. BOB.

O (4,1) 1st Irvine CH BLACKCOMBE BODIL AT TAPUI (IMP AUS). Norwegian Buhund. Outstanding 4-year-old female who simply could not be denied the class win. A superb example of the breed with correct square outline, light yet strong build and excellent overall balance. Feminine wedge-shaped head with keen, fearless expression, well-set sharply pointed ears and excellent pigmentation. Strong, clean neck flowing into straight forelegs, firm topline and compact, muscular body giving both agility and endurance. Moved with effortless, active stride - light, true and purposeful — maintaining balance and topline throughout. Tail tightly curled and correctly carried, completing a classic silhouette. Coat harsh, close lying and beautifully presented, enhancing her clean outline without exaggeration. A truly outstanding female combining type, soundness and presence — a worthy and convincing class winner who exemplifies the breed at its best. BAVNSC & G1. 

2nd Jasper PAFAXEN REWRITE THE STARS. Pyrenean Mountain Dog. Good quality 2 year-old male with pleasing size, strong bone and balanced outline. Broad chest, firm level back and well-muscled quarters giving a powerful yet athletic appearance. Moved steadily with free, unhurried action, showing sound construction. Coat profuse, correctly textured and well presented. Head masculine with good pigmentation and dark eye; however, I would prefer a slightly softer overall expression to enhance breed type. Overall a sound young male with much to appreciate and future potential. RBAVNSC

V (4) 1st Ayrton AOIBH SKYLARK. Lovely 9-year-old veteran Bearded Collie bitch showing excellent breed type and enduring quality. Feminine head with bright, enquiring expression, soft eye and typical beard enhancing her charm. Balanced outline with correct length of body, good neck into well-laid shoulders and firm topline maintained for her age.

Moved freely with supple, ground-covering action, still demonstrating the easy, effortless gait. Coat harsh, shaggy and well presented. Happy and confident, clearly enjoying her time in the ring. A delightful veteran retaining much quality and presence. BVIS.

(31) 1st Mullett SEATALLAN DAMSON. Retriever Labrador. Quality 2-year-old black male full of breed character, never stopping wagging his tail throughout. Well-balanced with good substance yet retaining the athletic, workmanlike outline. Broad, clean head with kind intelligent eye and correct ear placement giving true Labrador expression. Strong neck into well-laid shoulders, level topline and well-developed body. Moved freely and purposefully with good reach and drive, maintaining balance throughout. Typical thick “otter” tail carried happily, reflecting his cheerful temperament. Coat short, dense and in excellent condition. Loved him!

2nd Alexander & Sugden ROCKLLOCKERS PLUM SUNSET. Attractive 4-year-old Cocker Spaniel bitch of pleasing balance and true breed type. Feminine head with kind, merry expression, well-set ears and correct square muzzle. Good neck into fine shoulders, compact body with deep brisket and firm topline. Well-muscled hindquarters giving positive drive and true movement when settled.

Showed plenty of personality today and was a little cheeky at times, but always in good spirits. Coat flat, silky and well presented with correct feathering. A lively, affectionate girl with much to like who clearly enjoys her time in the ring.
