Baby Puppy Dog – No entries

Minor Puppy Dog 1 entry

1st BPD– Emmaview Lord Of Rind, 8 Months B/M, nicely coated, well broken marbling but the blue is a little muddy at present although a good colour at the root so hopefully this will clear after the junior moult. His head is ok but needs more underjaw, eye is a little rounder than ideal. He has ok ears which are correctly set and he used them well. He is short in upperarm and a bit weak in pastern. Rear angles are ok and rear movement was good. His front movement is a bit narrow and he currently rolls on his topline.

Junior Dog/ Novice Dog – No entries

Graduate Dog – 2 entries

1st Katiedale Golden Ticket, 2 ½ year old S/W. Well coated which makes him look shorter in neck than he actually is although would like a bit more neck on him still. Well boned. Presents a nice balanced shape. Head handles well with almond eye and dark pigment. Would prefer a bit more fill under the eye. Good ears well set and used well. Good front and rear angulations so moves well.

2nd Balidorn Olympic Star With Solyric JW, 23 months S/W, less mature than first and narrower all through. Inbetween coats right now but what he has is of good texture and good length. Needs more underjaw and more fill under the eye. He has almond eyes that are well set. Good ears when he used them. Very alert. Front is a bit narrow. Good sidegait on the move and a good topline with nice sweep over the croup.

Post Graduate Dog – 1 entry

1st Shadowess If I Can Dream At Cochochr, 20 months S/W. Longer cast male in good coat. Moved well but I feel a slightly quicker pace would suit him better. A bit tail happy at times but carried below the level of the back. Nice head with good eye shape and set and good ears. Good length of neck. With good shoulders and a nice topline leading to good rear angulations.

Limit Dog – 3 entries

1st BD, RBIS, BOSIS– Rannerdale Jammy Dodger, 21 month S/W. Lovely outline on this young boy with a super neck. Head is good with level planes and good eye. Good front angulation and good depth of chest. Level topline leading into a lovely rear with cprrect angles. Not in full coat but what he has fits him well and is correct texture. Lovely bone. On the move he just flows with good movement from all angles. Just lacking the maturity of my BB for the top award but a very high quality sheltie.

2nd RBD– Edglonian Prime Target With Tolarock, 3 year old Shaded S/W. Have judged this boy before and he has matured well. Lovely shape to him and good head with a nice eye. Ears well placed. Another with a lovely neck leading to good front angulation. Good topline and lovely sweep over the croup and good rear angulations. It’s on the move he excelled today with good reach and drive. His front is not quite as good coming toward me as 1st but in the challenge he earned RBD over the veteran because he has a better length of body even though he tried his best to not prove it giving his handler a hard time but I’d seen enough in this class to see what I liked.

3rd – Shadowess Jubilee Prince

Open Dog – No entries

Veteran Dog - 4 entries, 1 Absent

1st -BVD, BVIS – Highbrook Hobnob JW, 8 1/2 year old S/W who I have done well before. Good head although I’d like a little less stop. Good ears well set. He has a good neck with good shoulders. Nice bone and a good topline. Moves very well and was close up for RBD but felt the 2nd in limit had the better body length.

2nd – Solyric Inaugural Gold JW ShCEx OSW VW, Nearly 9 Year old S/W in good condition. Head handles well with a good eye, just greying on his muzzle now. Would prefer better underjaw. Front ok with good bone. Good topline. Rear movement more narrow than 1st. Was wanting to race a bit on the move today but enjoying his time showing off just as a veteran should be.

3rd – Emmaview Only Best

Special Open S/W Dog – 1 Entry

1st Shadowess Lockdown Hero, 6 year old, Well coated and of good shape. Kind expression on this boy. Another I’d like a bit more underjaw on. Would prefer a little more neck. Ok front. Good topline and ok rear. Well presented coat and showed well.

Special Open Tri, B/W, B/T – No Entries

Special Open B/M Dog – 1 Entry, 1 Absent

Baby Puppy Bitch – No Entries

Minor Puppy Bitch – 2 Entries, 2 Absent

Puppy Bitch – 5 Entries, 3 Absent

This was a close decision in this class. These young ladies were differing types but both had attributes I liked and on another day could easily have changed my placings. Both should have good futures in the showring.

1st BPB BPIS Jaelis Mystique Realism , 11 month S/W of the loveliest golden colour. Head still needs to fill and mature and would benefit from more underjaw and depth to her muzzle. Good eye and well set ears. Good front with a good neck well arched. Lovely topline held well on the move. Good rear. Moved well. Easy decision against the male for BP.

2nd Shelcrest Band Of Gold, 9 month S/W This young lady had a better head with more substance but maintaining femininity. Correct length of neck and good shoulders and front angulations leading to a good topline and good rear. On the move she is good in front and rear but today not as together as 1st on sidegait which ultimately made my decision but having seen this girl from ringside I know she can go better, today she was just enjoying herself on the move.

Junior Bitch – 3 Entries, 1 Absent

1st Highbrook Hint Of Honey, S/W 12 month . out of coat but what she has gives her a lovely outline. She has a good feminine head with a nice almond eye well set. Good depth to her muzzle. Ears set well and nicely tipped. Good front angles and a lovely topline leading into a good rear. Very good length of tail. Moved as her construction suggested and with a bit more coat would have pushed my main winners more.

2nd Jaelis Mystique Realism – 1st in previous class and just giving way in maturity in head in this class

Novice Bitch – 7 Entries, 4 Absent

1st Highbrook Hotpants, S/W 21 months, Very nice outline on this young girl. Head handles with a nice expression although slightly deeper in stop than ideal. Nice well set neat ears. Good neck and good front angles. Lovely topline held well on the move. Good rear angles.

2nd Shadowess Mystic Star, Tri 20 months. Ok head with good ears. Front angles ok although would prefer a bit more upperarm. A little weak in pasterns. Topline held well on the move. Ok rear. Showed well

3rd Emmaview One Moment In Time

Graduate Bitch – 3 Entries

1st Shadowess Enchanted Dream, 20 months Tri who I have judge before and she has really improved in confidence since then. She is a good shape and in a good coat with good clear black colour. She has a good head and a good eye with good ears. On the move she flows with good movement from all angles.

2nd Ribans Starlet Of Milsend (JKC), 4 year old S/W Out of coat but that meant nothing to hide. Head ok with a good eye. Another who would benefit from a bit more underjaw. Good ears. Nice length of neck and ok front although again a bit more upper arm would be better and this affected her reach on the move. Good length of body and nice topline and nice sweep over the croup. Ok rear

3rd Jaelis Mystique Realism

Post Graduate Bitch – 3 entries, 2 Absent

1st Ribans Starlet Of Milesend (JKC) – 2nd in previous class

Limit Bitch 4 Entries, 2 Absent

Another class where I liked attributes in both and could change places on another day

1st BVB, Balidorn Golden Amber ShCEx, 7 Year old S/W Very well presented and nicely balanced. Showing off her attributes well and just asked for BVB. Head handles well with a nice eye and good ears giving her a nice expression. Ok neck with goo front angles. Good topline leading into a good rear. Lovely balanced gait on the move and showing beautifully today.

2nd Rannerdale Honey Bee At Highbrook, 5 year old S/W Nice feminine head. Would prefer a more almond eye. Good ears that are well set. Good neck leading into good shoulders. She has a nice topline and a good rear. She moved well but not quite a together as 1st today.

Open Bitch – 3 Entries, 1 Absent

1st RBB Rannerdale Coco Pop, 21 month S/W Very nice young bitch who presents a lovely outline with a nice feminine head with good eye well set. Litter sister to my BD and the same comments apply to this young lady as they are so similar, no denying they are cut from the same cloth. Today her brother was just that bit more together on the move even with a change of handler and just pipped his sister for RBIS but I can see these two sharing top awards and places many times.

2nd Jaelis Mystique Reality JW, 4 year old S/W mother of the puppy winner and the same beautiful gold colour and very much the same as her daughter in a mature package. Good head and eye. Nice ears. Good neck. Not the front of 1st. Ok topline and good rear. Moved well. Unlucky to meet 1st in this class today.

Veteran Bitch – 3 Entries

1st Milesend Sea Pearl, 10 year old Shaded S/W in super condition and showing very well. Nice head with good eye. Nice ears well set. Ok front although a little weaker in pasterns but still good for her age. Topline good. Nice rear.

2nd Balidorn Solitude At Solyric JW VW, 10 year old S/W longer cast bitch. Another in super condition. Longer in muzzle than I’d prefer but still a nice feminine expression. Good ears. Lovely neck. Ok front. Would prefer a little more bone. Good topline and rear. Lovely length of tail. Moved well but not the front movement of 1st today.

3rd Emmaview I Like A Challenge

Special Open S/W Bitch – 2 Entries, 1 Absent

1st Jaelis Mystique Realism – winner of PB

Special Open Tri, B/W, B/T Bitch – 1 Entry

1st BB BIS Rannerdale Queen Of The Nite, 3 year old Just love the outline on this young lady and was just what I was looking for. Well presented in just the right amount of coat to fit her perfectly which was the blackest black. Good feminine head with nice level planes. A good well set eye. Nice ears well use. Good length of neck with a lovely shoulder and good length of upperarm. Good topline leading into a good well angled rear. On the move she had a lovely flowing balanced gait with correct front and rear. One who should have her crown.

Special Open B/M Bitch – 3 entries

1st Shadowess True Blue, 7 year old, Well coloured blue. Nice feminine head with alomnd eye. Good ears. Nice neck. Ok front but would prefer a touch more upperarm. Good body with nice topline and good rear. Just pipped to BVB by the Limit class winner who was striding out a bit more today.

2nd Afterglow Merino At Cochochr 5 year old bi-blue. Stronger in head than 1st. A little wide in front as a little more weight than ideal. Ok topline. Lovely blue colour well broken.

3rd Emmaview Blue Velvet

Brace 4 Entries, 2 absent

Enjoyed this class and put the handlers skills to the test on the move.

1st – Goodwin’s – Mother and daughter pair who are so similar. Showed very well together and moved in unison well for their handler

2nd Ritchie’s – another mother and daughter pairing and no denying they are so closely related and very similar. Just lost out as not as in unison on the move today
