I would like to thank the club secretary Karen Forbes and the committee for the invite to judge all the handling classes, at this prestigious well run show, I would also like to thank all the fabulous exhibitors for their entries and may I say it was an honour to judge such a high standard of Handlers, and to my excellent steward who kept everything running like clockwork which I found very impressive considering was her first stewarding appointment definitely a natural.

Junior and Adult Handling

Class A Junior Handling 6-11 years 8 entries 3 absent

1st and Over all Best Junior Handler Evie Bryson 

Evie entered into the ring with ease and immaculately turned out along with her perfectly groomed dog both with great confidence, her dog was trying to fight her against the grain but Evie did not let this faze her, both striding out to the letter T to perfection like they drew it on a piece of paper, answered all my questions correctly and with confidence for me this was a very easy 1st Place and when they both came in for the challenge both dog and handler suddenly clicked and became perfectly in tune with each other Evie’s smile was infectious both sailed their way to the finish line. This young handler is definitely one for the watching a very bright future ahead.

2nd Abbie Smith

Another fabulous handler where Abbie and her dog were beautifully turned out, showed dog to its full potential, answered all my questions correctly and with confidence, had great repour with dog keeping her dogs straight top line while on the move the only thing that I would advise (this is nip picking) is to slow down when doing your corners allowing the dog to catch up on you. Great handler another one with a bright future.

3rd Lucy Taylor

Class B Junior Handling 12-16 years 4 entries 1 absent

1st Daphne Bryson

Daphne arrived in the ring with a lovely smile, dressed to impress attire equalling her perfectly groomed dog, both were in unison with one another expertly walking the T to perfection while keeping an eye on me to check I hadn’t changed my position, came back to me and finished in the correct position presenting her dog correctly, answered all the questions smartly and without a thought fantastic handler with a bright future.

2nd Keira Angus

Keira came into the ring very well turned out with her dog a great team who did everything correctly as I asked while keeping an eye on me that I don’t change position and answered questions correctly very impressive handling such a large dog and with great ease my only suggestion (again nit picking here) to watch how you present your dog and tighten up your corners but again a fabulous handler with a great future.

Class C Adult Handling 17-30 years 2 entries 1 absent

1st and Best Adult handler Chloe McDonald

Wow Chloe is just on another level when it comes to handling I was just so impressed from when she appeared into the ring until she left I could not take my eyes off her and the dog, the pair are just epic together sailed around the ring keeping the dogs beautiful top line at all times made a fabulous T both moved into correct position without breaking the golden rule I could watch them both in the ring all day, all questions answered without a thought every movement in the ring done with such finesse an absolute pleasure to judge outstanding future ahead of you.

Class D Adult Handling 31 years + 12 entries 6 absent

1st Jane McNiven

My 3rd person in this family who I placed 1st I couldn’t believe it but they were all suited and booted to perfection, arrived in the ring with a lovely smile moved the dog correctly and with great ease perfecting the T and presenting the dog to its full potential showing it immaculate outline answered all questions correctly a very easy 1st place another fabulous handler and another one to watch out for.

2nd Morag Webster

Both arrived into the ring with great confidence, Morag’s dog immaculately groomed and looking stunning, the connection between then both is beautiful to watch, did a correct T and kept her dogs top line while on the move answered all questions correctly and presented her dog perfectly in front of me the only advice I would give and which lost you 1st place (this is nip picking) tighten up when on corners and don’t rush. Another outstanding handler who was a pleasure to work with.
