Leicester City Canine Society Open Show. 

               Monday 31st August 2026.

    Thanking the Officers, Committee & exhibitors. I felt very honoured to have been asked to be a replacement Judge on the day, also thank you to both my stewards, Lesley & Jo for keeping the ring running smoothly.

 Philemon Vom Roten Herzfleck At Winflash ( Imp Deu ).

    9 month’s stunning black spotted boy, caught my eye when he entered the ring, super head, quite broad between ears, good dentition & dark eyes, black nose, lovely neck & shoulders, level topline which he held on the move, good spring of rib, lovely temperament, his movement was strong & true around the ring. Well handled. BP. Pleased to see he was Puppy Group 3.

Winflash Coco By Chanel. Pretty black spotted girl of 13 months with dark pigmentation, dark brown eyes, scores in head shape with pleasing expression, correct dentition, strong neck into moderately angulated front assembly, tight feet, moved out well holding her topline.

2year old outgoing black spotted young lady, nice head with dark eyes, long lean neck into well placed shoulders, well developed forechest, level topline that continued into correct length of tail, moved with drive around the ring. 

2nd.Cattermole Mrs J, Anima Cordis Man in The Mirror For Kalva dene For Hafwenna JW (imp pol). 

20 months liver spotted male, nice balanced head with moderate amount of stop, with bright amber coloured eyes, correct scissor bite & brown nose, powerful neck leading onto good shoulders, pleasing front & rear. Movement not as brisk as 1.

Winflash Tom Ford. Outgoing Young 2 year old black spotted male, nicely prepared for the show ring, in good condition, clean well proportioned head with intelligent expression, dark eye & black nose, neck is a good length & arched leading onto good well laid shoulders, strong bone throughout, topline is level, correct length of tail. Powerful action on the move. BOB. 

2nd Cattermole Mr C & Mrs J. Jasquarella Ice Queen Of Kalvadene.

 Lady of 5 years, black spotted markings, pretty head with alert expression, correct colour eye & black nose. Good lay of shoulder, straight front, firm in topline, covered the ground well.

1st. Hood’s, Ms S.Schipdale Caped Crusader with Arathorn.  

     Handsome, lively & alert young boy of 8 months, nice steady temperament, pleasing head with foxy expression, muzzle moderate in length, lovely dark brown oval eyes, correct ear set which he used well, good scissor bite. Square in outline, good front & rear angulation with nice topline made the picture. Coat was harsh & dense. He covered the ground with a brisk stride. Will watch with interest this young male as he matures.

1st. Hall’s Ms D, Chadbower Drew Of Ghilgrange. 7 years old male, liked his head with typical expression, correct scissor bite, dark oval shaped eyes, nice length of neck into correct lay of shoulder. Plenty of substance, straight forearms with moderate angled rear, good tail set & carried well, small cat like feet standing well on his toes,very attentive to handler. Won this class on his super reach & drive around the ring. BD. BOS. 

2nd. Thorne’s Mrs L D, CH/Can CH/AM CH Mardecks Where The Magic Is At Schipdale(imp can).

Strong looking dog in profile for 7 years of age, presented in good harsh & dense coat, he has a lovely head with dark oval eyes, nicely constructed throughout & well balanced. Neat catlike feet. Movement was not as precise as 1. 

3rd. Massey’s, Mrs. C A. CH Ristine Magical Spice,( NBT).

1st. Manners & Scales Mrs B & Miss L. Roopec Oh Emm Gee (NBT). Very confident 8 month old puppy, she certainly enjoyed herself today in the ring, did not put a foot wrong. Pretty feminine head, alert expression, small ears which she carried erect, lovely dark brown oval eyes, she is compact & nicely balanced, well ribbed body, viewed straight front & rear, an impressive profile both standing & on the move having a brisk stride while covering the ground, lovely temperament & very attentive to her calm handler. BP. Delighted to see her win Puppy Group 1. 

2nd Massey’s Mrs. C A. Schipdale Starfire with Ristine. Attractive head on this 8 month old young girl, foxy expression, pleasing dark brown oval eyes, neat ears which at time’s she used to her advantage, good length of neck & correct shoulders, tidy catlike feet, correct harsh coat texture, moved out with style. 

3rd, Thorne’s, Mrs L D. Schipdale Lady Shiva. 

 Limit Bitch,(4) (1). 

1stManners & Scales Mrs B & Miss L. Roopec Just One More JW. 

  Lovely 2 year old lady who I have judged before, has matured on nicely, pretty head, expression & alert at all times shown in good harsh coat, so sturdy, sound & well constructed , good forechest & spring of rib. Erect ears which she used non stop. Straight front & rear legs. Tail set carried well. Covered the ground effortlessly, best mover in this class, expertly handled. 

2nd. Hall’s Ms D. Ghilgrange Solitaire (NBT) Another young lady of 15 months, a nice overall package attractive head with dark brown oval eye, made a lovely outline, plenty of forechest with well laid shoulders & length of neck. Moved well around the ring but lost out to 1s hind movement.

 3rd. Jone’s Mrs, M L. Roopec Made For Me.

    1st. Philpott’s Miss J M. CH Komargo Going For Gold. What a class of Veterans. Super quality eyecatching blonde lady of 7 years in top form today, pretty head with appealing expression.well ribbed & nicely balanced, excellent neck & shoulder, good front assembly & strong hindquarters, firm topline which she carried on the move with steady & positive strides. Well presented & in super condition. BOB. 

 2nd. Manner’s Mrs B C. CH.Chadbower Nevaeh Lahetti (VW). 9 year old lady superb condition & belying her years. Good for size & shape, feminine head & expression. Gorgeous dark eyes, balanced throughout, good depth to chest,well sprung rib & moderate angles. Moved with a lovely free action. Prefered topline of 1.

1st Miss V Poole’s Terra Dos Celtas Tell Me Everything AT Coata kinti (imp Esp). Nearly 4 year old Feminine red girl, typical head shape, broad muzzle with padding, moderate wrinkle on forehead & cheeks, dark medium size shaped eyes with frowning expression, lovely small ears, correct bite, nice well balanced outline with well laid shoulders, straight front legs, she has a moderate turn of stifle in the rear with pleasing muscle tone. Good compact feet, moved around the ring effortlessly . BOB. Was pleased to see she went on to win Group4. 

2nd. Miss J Knox, Wyldette Lilith Never Eve. JW. Young lady of 21 months, lots to like about her, similar comments as above, a larger bodied lady overall, lovely head, her neck is a good length, pleasing topline with good tailset, in superb coat & condition. More precise movement from 1st place lady.
