I’d like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge at this very well-run show, and to thank them for the warm welcome and hospitality afforded to me. To the exhibitors for giving me the honour of judging your lovely dogs and for accepting my decisions sportingly, and of course to my two able stewards in ring 3 a huge thank you. Rings, and in fact shows, cannot run without the army of stewards and helpers that keep it all on track.

On returning home I was thrilled to hear that my BOB German Shorthaired Pointer won the Gundog Group, and my BOB Pointer, was G3.

1st Joy Seasham Thrill Me at Mannlicher

Super sweet L/W bitch of 13 months, liked her for size, she has a balanced outline when stood. Her pretty feminine head is balanced, eye’s just needing to darken a touch, but this will come as she matures. Her neck is of good length and flows into her well laid shoulders. She is straight in front with decent bone and neat feet. She has good depth for her age I would just like a little more forechest. Hind quarters are strong with moderately bent stifle. She moved out well covering the ground with effortless movement. RBOB

2nd Dando Pruso Blues N’ Twos

Lovely head on this 12 month L/W male, he’s well bodied good depth and forechest. He is well boned. He is still developing but is well muscled. He moved out well just not as fluid as 1

3rd Manser Mistcaple Teasel Meadow BP

Sweet puppy, shows promise, lovely outline. Keep up the practice as she’s a nice bitch.

1st Warrington Zakova Aria

What a Lovely balanced bitch this is. She has the best of heads with lovely dark eye. Her neck is long and muscular; she is well proportioned throughout. Front is straight with strong bone, and she stands on good feet. She has ample depth and lovely forechest. She is well ribbed, topline is level with gentle slope to the tail, she is well angled front and rear, with good turn of stifle. She moved with excellent reach and drive and covered the ground with ease BOB and delighted to hear she went on to win the Gundog Group.

1st Edlin Graygees Tsarine

Five year old bitch who has a feminine head with dark eye, giving a gentle expression. She has decent length of neck, good depth of chest, would just like a tad more forechest. She is well boned with good angles at both ends. She used her well-muscled rear quarters to advantage on the move.

2nd Mapes Agdenusher Mulberry

Upstanding four-year-old male. He has a lovely head that is masculine with eye matching his coat. Good length of neck, level topline, decent depth of chest. He is well muscled and moved out well.

1st Welch & Hazeltine Corotine Noir Blossom with Hookwood

Super well grown bitch of 11 months, she has a lovely outline, showing off her graceful curves. Her head is balanced with good eye colour, lovely reach of neck into firm level topline. She has good depth for her age, with straight bone and neat feet. She is well angled at both ends, and her muscular rear quarters propelled her around the ring with reach and drive. BP

2nd Brooksmith Sharnphilly Lyrical

Sweet 7 month B/W bitch, she was giving a lot away today in the maturity department. Her head is developing nicely. She is straight in front with good bone and feet. Good length of neck, level topline and she is well angled, with lovely bend of stifle and width of thigh. She was being a typical puppy today and giving her handler a hard time, but I think she is promising.

1st Barham Droveborough Witchy Woman JW

Impressive L/W bitch of 17 months. Liked her flowing outline, her head is balanced with plenty of work in it. She has good body proportions with lovely depth and well sprung ribs, she is well off for forechest, straight in front with good bone and tight feet. She is well angled, rear quarters are muscular with good turn of stifle, she moved out well with ground covering strides.

2nd Kennedy Droveborough Black Magic JW

Another nice bitch, not surprised to see she is a litter mate to 1, she just lacks the depth of the winner. That said she has a feminine balanced head, curvy outline lovely long strong neck into level topline. She moves out with grace showing good reach.

Liked this elegant O/W bitch. She has a pretty head, with good eye colour. She presents a shapely outline stacked with good neck length into her level topline, fore quarters are well angled, and she has lovely depth with well sprung ribs. Rear quarters are muscular which showed in her graceful ground covering movement - RBOB

2nd Kennedy Droveborough Hells Bells JW

Another nice bitch from this kennel. Pretty head that is feminine, good length of neck, she is well angled both ends, I would have like a tad more forechest, but she has good depth of chest. Her movement was steady and graceful, with good reach.

1st Welch Drake & Hazletine Clamerkin Jubilee Surprise at Hookwood JW

This is a super bitch, she shows off her curvy outline when she is stacked. Her head is balanced with plenty of work in it, she has dark eyes that look at you with a kindly expression. Her neck is long and muscular and flows into her level topline. She is well bodied with deep chest and ample forechest, her ribs are well spung . She is strong through the loin and has well muscled rear quarters, which she used to power around the ring covering plenty of ground. BOB and pleased to hear she was later awarded G3.

2nd Perren Evaluna Chasing Rainbows with Hookwood JW

This is another shapely B/W bitch. I preferred the head of 1, but this bitch has plenty of substance, she is straight in front, would like a touch more forechest, but she is well off for depth she has a good reach of neck and level topline, good angles both ends and her rear quarters are well muscled. She strides out on the move with good reach and drive.

1st Dunsford Tumbledown Yours Forever

Sweet black bitch of 9 months, her head is feminine and balanced. She has a good length of neck, she is standing a little high at the back at the moment, but this is a growth spurt so it will even out. Good depth of body, she is a shade long for me, but she has lovely angles at both ends with good width of thigh and well bent stifle she is happy on the move and moves well. BOB and BP

2nd Stringer Tumbledown Yours Forever

On the stack and on the first go round, I thought this lovely chocolate bitch would have been my winner today. Sadly, on trying to go over her she was just too shy to be handled. I do hope the handler persists and tries to overcome this as she has a lot of promise. RBOB
