I’d like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this well-run show and to thank them for their hospitality. Thank you to my stewards for keeping everything running smoothly and a special thank you to the exhibitors for your lovely entry.

1st Holdstock – Callaiscroft Esprit De Vie For Amicofedele JW 

A stylish male of excellent proportions, he’s well made all though. Head is balanced, with good depth to muzzle and divergent planes, eyes are dark and he has a lovely soft expression. Neck is long and muscular, he has excellent front and rear angulation, body is deep with ample forechest. He makes a lovely shape on the stack and when he keeps all four feet on the floor, he moves well with good reach and drive. I love his character – he’s a clown. He stood alone today but put on a good performance in a quality group to take G4.

1st Merritt – Sperant Chocolate Cosmos JW 

Well balanced feminine bitch, she has a lovely shape when stacked. Pretty head, with good length of neck into level topline which she held on the move. Her forequarters are well angled with corresponding rear quarters; she has good depth and a firm loin. She moves out well with good reach and drive. BOB

2nd McKee Siemprelisto Cedar 

A different type to one in that she is a shade smaller all through. Head is balanced with dark eye, would like a little more depth to muzzle. She has a good length of neck, decent angles both ends. She moved out well but was just a little close at the back today.

1st Merritt – Sperant Pamplemousse VW 

Pretty 7 years bitch, balanced head, with good eye shape and colour, neck of good length, she holds a firm topline, decent depth, would like a little more forechest. She stands on well boned legs and round tight feet. Moves out well.

1st Batchelor – Wilchrimane Bats All 

Lovely outline on the 2-year-old O/W male showing his symmetrical appearance. His masculine head is balanced with lovely dark eye and slight concave of muzzle to give that dishfaced appearance. He is well off for depth, with super rib, his muscular body is firm, and he holds his topline well on the move. His well-muscled rear quarters enabled him to move out with drive. BOB

1st Holmes – Cassarla Cheeky Vimto 

Such a sweetie at just 8 months she is showing promise. Pretty head, with good eye. She has good depth and rib for her age. Her well-proportioned body is firm, she has decent angulation both ends, on the move she was enjoying her time in the ring, but I saw enough to see that she can really stride out. BP

1st Kassube & French – Thendara Hot Diamond and Cararua 

I was impressed with this male, stood, he shows his racy outline, head is long and lean with dark eye almond shaped eye, giving him an endearing expression. His muscular neck flows cleanly into his topline, his chest is down to his elbows and ribs well sprung, he is well off for forechest, straight in front with good bone and feet. He makes good use of himself on the move with head held high. BOB

2nd Williams – Alolfrana Isadora Dances for Lavansands 

Pretty feminine bitch, no mistaking her sex. Head is balanced, she has good depth of body, decent front and rear angulation, she has a firm level topline that she held on the move and she moved out well in all directions.

1st Cohen – Lynwood Merry May King with Shushana 

Mature male, lovely head and eye. He shows a good outline on the stack, is well off for body and depth, is well ribbed up with strong muscular loin. He has good width of thigh and well bent stifle; he moves out well and steady.

1st Bellamy – Moontorn Chasing The Dream JW 

This is an exceptional bitch; she is out of the ‘top draw’. She has a beautiful balanced head showing a dark eye and intelligent expression. On the stack she has the desired racy outline. Her neck is of good length and muscular and it flows into her perfectly level topline. Her chest is deep and well ribbed, she has ample forechest, elbows tight to body, straight front and standing on well boned legs and neat round feet. She is correctly angled at both ends with lovely width of thigh and well bent stifle; on the move she comes into her own as she shows off her free-flowing stride. More than happy to award BOB & G1 and I heard later that she made the draw for the JW Semi Finals – well done.

2nd Blythin – Angelusparks V Practice Makes Perfect Julesville 

3 years male – not the outline of 1 but he has a masculine head with enough length of neck. Decent depth, straight front, good bone and feet. He moved out steadily.

1st Nelson – Cadwst Eternal Ember 

Beautifully balanced youngster of 10 months. Head is feminine with good width of skull and length of muzzle. Eye dark giving an expressive expression. Symmetrical in outline, with neck of good length, lovely forequarters for her age with good return of upper arm. She is well boned. Body is deep and muscular with well sprung ribs, super rear quarters with good width of thigh and well bent stifle, she moves out well. BP PG2

2nd Evans - Mardargold Trick or Treat 

Handsome 10 months male, not quite the outline of 1 but head is balanced, he is well off for depth, good width of thigh and well bent stifle. He’s carrying a little weight over his shoulders and that makes him appear a little short of neck. Moved out steadily.

1st Pietykowski – It Takes Two Anarchia Box Wondertemple 

Handsome male of 14 months, head is balanced with good eye colour. Neck is strong, well laid shoulders with good return of upper arm, well off for bone. Chest is deep with decent ribs. Holds his level topline on the move and he moves out well.

2nd Millington – Strettonhills Bring it Home to Jarabees 

Pleasing male, head is masculine, neck of good length, not the forequarters of one at this stage. Has good depth of body firm topline, super width of thigh and well bent stifle, I’d just like a touch more length of leg to balance him. Moved ok.

3rd Tomanova – Grey Goose Killing in the Name

1st Nelson – Cadwst Song of Spring JW 

Smart bitch, pretty head, lovely eye, well proportioned body, she holds a good outline when stacked. Body is deep with good rib, she has good angles both ends and she moves out well with flowing movement.

2nd Evans – Mardargold Razzle Dazzle

Feminine bitch of 2 years, different stamp to one being a little lighter in build. Pretty head, good length of neck, she’s a little upright but is well off for depth and rib, stifle well bent, she moves out well.

3rd Goddard – Jorby Eternal Flame at Glansevern

1st Tomanova – Int/Multi Ch Cheek To Cheek the Artist

Quality male shows a balanced outline; head is balanced with broad skull and good length of foreface. He excels in front angulation with lovely forechest, good return of upper arm that places his well boned legs well under his body. Super depth and well sprung ribs, he has substance without being course, firm level topline that he held on the move, and he moved out well, just holds his tail a little high. BOB

2nd Cermakova – Brigitt Rome Bohemia Wild Pearl 

Sweet feminine bitch, she makes a nice outline when stood, balanced head, good length of neck into level topline. She has strength through body, with decent angles both ends. She moves out positively in all directions.

1st Yacoub – Laithmorr’s Felka 

Good for type, showing her compact balanced outline. Pretty head and dark eye, gives that lovely soft expression of the breed. She has good length of neck, I’d like a little more depth to be picky, decent angles both ends, moderately bent stifle, she holds her topline on the move and she moves out ok, I’d have just liked a little more reach. Shown in super rich red jacket. BOB

1st Hawkins – Schonhund Show at the Oscars JW

Shapely male of 2 years, head is masculine with eye colour toning with coat. He has ample depth with elbows tight to body. Super length of neck with a firm topline. Well angled fore and aft. Moved out well despite the small ring.

1st Hawkins – Smilek Fernando JW 

Mature male of good type. Head is balanced with good eye colour giving him a kind expression. His clean-cut neck flows into his firm level topline, body is deep and well ribbed back. Loin is muscular, rear quarters are well made and he uses them to advantage on the move, as he moves out with effortless ground covering strides. BOB

2nd McMahon – Ir Sh Ch Silverkelvin Jupiter over Magdala VW CW22

Preferred the overall outline of 1. Masculine head of good proportions, neck of good length, decent angles both ends, stands over plenty of ground. His legs are well boned, and he stands on neat strong feet. Moved out well.

1st Samardzija, Samardzija & Ryan – Patouche Amaretto - Brittany

Just shy of 12 months, this lovely youngster has it all in place, squarely built with balanced head and dark eye. Neck of medium length flows neatly into his level topline. Forequarters are correctly angled and he’s straight in front. He has decent depth for his age, and his rear quarters are well muscled, he moves out with the characteristic brisk pace. BP AVNSC & PG3

1st Roberts – Curlyco Cosmic Girl – Irish Water Spaniel

Shapely bitch with petty feminine head and dark almond shaped eye. Neck of good length, set well into shoulders. Her firm back is carried level and she has good depth and rib. She is well angled fore and aft, and she uses her well-made rear quarters to move out freely with good reach and drive, shown in good coat. BAVNSC

2nd ‘Rigby – Glaneils Enjoy the Silence – Chesapeake Bay Retriever 

Well-proportioned male whose head is broad and balanced. Forequarters muscular with good bone. His chest is well developed and down to elbow with well sprung ribs. His rear quarters are well angled and he uses them to advantage on the move.

Pretty feminine bitch, well-proportioned head with good depth and length to muzzle. Neck is muscular into level topline. Lovely depth and rib, well boned legs and tight feet. She has strength though body with muscular loin. She moves out well but was just carrying her tail a little high. Best Import

1st Hughes – Alolfrana U’are a Diamond Irish Setter

Super stylish bitch of 9 years, feminine head that is balanced. She makes a good shape when stacked showing off her racy outline. Good length of neck, well bodied with deep chest and firm muscular topline. Straight in front with good bone and neat feet. She really comes into her own on the move, holds her head up and strides out in profile with good extension in front and drive from behind.

2nd Mason – Sandlauga Soul Man VW Cocker Spaniel

Difficult decision between 1 & 2 today. Super Gold male of 9 years. Lovely balanced head with dark eye that’s well chiselled below. Neck is long and strong and leads into his super topline. Body is deep and well ribbed. He has good musculation, moves out true in all directions with great tail action.

Super black male, substance without being course, lovely head that is balance, excellent rib and well-muscled, moves so well showing good reach and drive.

What a find, super 11 months bitch, she has a lovely balanced head, strong neck of good length, she is well angled both ends with lovely depth and barrel rib. Strong level topline that she holds on the move, and she moves so well, was true both coming and going, and that just tipped the balance between 1 & 2 today, so pleased to see her go on to BPIS – well done.
