Celtic Chow Chow Club

Celtic Chow Chow Club

Held at Longlevens Gloucester on 4th October 2026

My thanks for the invitation to judge this club’s 1st championship show since its amalgamation

The show was well organised had a good venue with plenty of parking thanks also to the committee and steward

I have a few worries in the breed firstly size, the breed is definitely getting smaller and rears are getting narrower the breed should have size and width all through, bone is also lacking in the rear end along with good solid feet for the dog to stand on and an old saying being no foot no dog how can you have good rear movement if the dog has nothing to stand on to propel itself forward, also very few possess the correct rear movement, also presentation is important and some of the exhibits had been scissored which is a no no, if you have excessive dead coat groom it out
