Breed: handling

Junior handling 6 – 11 years

1st Layla Duncan handling a Tibetan Spaniel , this is a super little handler who has an obvious bond with her dog . She presented the dog well and followed all instructions, pattern work was very good . A smartly dressed sympathetic handler who kept her eye on the judge at all times .

2nd Jackson Kirkwood Emery, another well presented handler handling a mini w/h dach , the dog gave him some challenging moments but he remained calm and corrected the dog . Pattern work was good but not as sharp as the winner .

12 -16 years

1st Abigail Kirkwood Emery handling a GWP , a very competent handler who presented her dog well to show off its attributes , she listened clearly to instructions and answered all questions correctly . Her dog was very much at one with her .

2nd Cambria Leitch handling a Barbet , she too was a smart competent handler , presented her dog well , pattern lines were good I just felt the winner had that bit extra

Adult handling

17-30 years

1st Lucy Mallinson handling a whippet , a very sympathetic handler who has a great bond with her dog , stacked very well on the table , good lines never coming between judge and dog .

31-45 years

1st Tanya Rogerson handling a Rottweiler , a competent handler who was very much in control of her lager powerful breed , bang on on the stack and good lines , she answered the questions correctly

2nd Becca Windsor handling a whippet , a relatively new handler competing in her first handling class so I was later told , very good performance being sympathetic and at one with the dog . Pattern work needs tidied up but that will come with time .

46-60 years

1st Anastasia Weiner handling a border collie , a nice bond between dog and handler , just needs work on not coming between the dog and the judge .

61+ years

1st Sandy Nokes handling a HWV , a very polished performance from this lady , dog presented and handled very well letting the dog become the focus for the judge , good patterns .

2nd Sharon Cornwell handling a Samoyed , a free stack used on this dog where the foot positioning could have been corrected to present a better outline .
