Northern Samoyed Society
My thanks to the committee of the Northern Samoyed Society for this wonderful opportunity to judge their club open show. From start to finish it was a super friendly day. The club’s hospitality was lovely and the dogs to judge were fabulous examples of the breed. Thank you to my two friendly stewards for keeping the ring moving so well.
Minor Puppy Dog
1st Mann - Vandreem Imperial Linken - just a baby at 6mths old but so much to like about this cheeky lad. Dark pigment, scissor bite, strong neck and good front angulation. Chest needs to develop but he’s got so much time on his side. Good rear movement and once settled he had a super side gait. Best Puppy Dog
2nd Ashbourne - Angelicus Furnando - balanced head on this 8mth old chap with a happy expression. Larger frame than first with strong bone. Super puppy coat. Well-presented and handled.
Puppy Dog
1st Forster - Artsam Shining Future Hiro for Hakumichi - masculine and mature 11 mth old puppy. Broad head, strong muzzle and good eye and ear set. OK on the move but would benefit from a touch more angulation. Strong bone throughout and covered in a profuse coat.
Junior Dog
1st Hunt & Honey - Artsam Bring The Moon - almost 12mths old – broad head with well set ears, dark pigment and that happy expression. Arched strong neck. OK for bone and good length of leg, front angulation with good lay of shoulder. Seasonal coat but he was well presented and handled. Moved with ease.
2nd Rojowska - From Oslo With Snow White Touch Of The Sky to Arcticuno (Imp Pol) –Larger frame than the winner, masculine with strong bone. In super coat which was well presented. Would prefer a touch more neck. Level topline and good tail set. Moved well.
Yearling Dog
1st Haffanden - Novaskaya Yolo Lefay JW – 21mths old with a super balanced outline with everything in proportion. Masculine without needing to be at the top of the standard. Wedge shape head with dark pigment, almond eyes and good ears. Loved his neck and front assembly. Level topline with good ribs and strong loin. Stood on neat feet. Moved easily around the ring.

1st Mann- Vandream Imperial Linken - as Minor Puppy
Post Grad Dog
1st Collinson-Vandreem Imperial Mario at Norjack JW - 15mth old chap who was presented impeccably and was such a showman. Balanced head with correct eye shape, correct ear set and dark pigment together giving that required Samoyed expression. Arched neck, good lay of shoulder, level topline with good ribs and strong loin. Covered the ring so easily with his free movement and handled so well. Super lad.
2nd Woodhead-Nikara Its Kamochi with Pashka - another who I really liked, super outline and shape, balanced and in proportion. Masculine without being at the top of the standard. Pleasing angulation and really moved out well on the rear. I’m sure these two will change places.
Open Dog
1st Jebson Jebson King & Jebson - CH Vandreem Imperial Riprasso JW Best Dog & BIS – masculine with elegance and in good form for muscle and condition. Super outline, strong head with good width of skull, ears well set, scissor bite and good pigment. Good length of neck leading to well placed shoulders. Firm topline and angulated front and rear. Covered in a profuse well presented coat. Moved effortlessly around the ring. Best Dog & Best Of Breed
2nd Tarasinska – Siberianmist Odin - another super male who was masculine without being coarse. Super pigment, correct eyes and bite and strong muzzle. Arched neck leading to a good front assembly. Fit and active on the move and free stood on tight feet. Res Best Dog
3rd Bobrowski & Kirkwood - CH Vandreem Imperial Breeze over Berezniki
Veteran Dog
1st Short - Zakaytia Angel Of Mine BVD – what a cracking 11 yo gent he is and he liked to make his presence known in the ring! Balanced outline and profile. Super head proportions with good ears and flat skull. Strong arched neck. Well ribbed, level topline and good tail set. Showing no signs of slowing down yet.
Minor Puppy Bitch
1st Wickenden- Lupussky Eos Skadi – what a super youngster. Feminine throughout with a sweet expression and dark pigment. Nice outline and moved well. She was a touch close behind however only a baby so time on her side.
Puppy Bitch
1st Fowler - Artsam Butterfly BPB &BPIS – her young handler did so well with his lovely 11mth old pup. Super head, neat ears and dark pigment. Moved so well with her angulated front and rear, covered the ground effortlessly. One to watch. Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Show
2nd Hunt - Artsam Beloved- sister to the winner, much to like but more immature in body than winner. Another with a well proportioned head and typical Samoyed expression. Covered the ground well.
Junior Bitch
1st Jebson - Vandreem Imperial Malari – 15mths old feminine girl. Beautiful head and expression coming from her proportions, eye and ear set. Slightly longer in body, level topline and good tail set. Moved OK. Presented immaculately and in a pristine coat.
Yearling Bitch – super class of girls
1st Brandenberg & Smith - Novaskaya Yva Lefay by Taronakits JW – 22mths old and headed a strong class of Samoyeds. Super head proportions, sweetest of Samoyed expressions too. Arched neck of good length. Firm topline. She has the movement you would want to see, coming from her angulated front and rear. She effortlessly covers the ground. Won this class on her construction and teamed with her presence and look at me attitude she couldn’t be denied the win.
2nd Jennings - Original Beauty Lady Orleansnow JW (Imp CZE) – another beauty with a super head and expression. Compact body who looked a picture on the stance and move. Moved so well. Presented and handled to get the very best from her at all times.
3rd Woodhead - Novaskaya Yelana Lefay at Pashka
Tyro Bitch
1st Walton - Brilantico Cloudy Dreams –Sweet girl who enjoyed her time in the ring. Nice outline with fair amount of bone. Moved well but would benefit from a bit more rear drive. Stood on neat feet. Well presented.
2nd Naylor - Croftdouglas Sassy Sileas at Karenshko – another who had a nice shape, slightly longer in the leg than the winner. Moved well around the ring. Although not quite in full coat it was presented well and of good texture.

1st Bee - Rosskaja Ginjo Pearl For Snowbiscuit – 22mths old and so feminine. Lovely outline and shape. Good head with correct eye, ears and muzzle, arched neck leading to a good front. Well ribbed with a firm topline. Presented and handled to perfection.
2nd Cornwell - Jewel Child Of Joy Orleansnow (Imp CZE) – larger framed girl with strong bone. Super head proportions with good pigment and expression. Super fluid movement around the ring and such a show girl.
Open Bitch
1st Tarasinska - Siberianmist Lagertha – she is super! Dark pigment with correct ear shape and set. Arched neck. Super profile both stood and on the move. Firm level topline held at all times, high tail set. Super mover in all directions. Shown in pristine condition with super muscle tone throughout her body. Best Bitch and Res Best in Show
2nd Kirkwood & Carruthers - CH Lisa Z Limanowskiej Kotliny To Vandream (Imp Pol) – pushed the winner hard and is a super bitch with much to like. Slightly larger frame and bone than winner however no doubt she is all female. Correct head shape with super expression. Moved really well and handled to perfection – Res Best Bitch.
3rd Short - Sibertips Star Attraction At Zakaytia (AI)

1st Tarasinska - Charlotte Wolf In Sheeps Skin (Imp Pol) – what a super girl and at just 7 yo she shows no sign of being in veteran! Balanced throughout, with a super head, pigment and bite. Arched neck. Well boned with good ribs and strong loin. Moved effortlessly around the ring. Presented immaculately and handled so well. Best Veteran Bitch.
