Staffordshire Bull Terrier Judge Luke Thorley

I would like to thank Coalville and district canine society for giving me my first opportunity to Judge, I’d also like to thank everyone who gave me an entry and supported me.

Puppy

First – Yates, Yates and Ibsen - Keepastaff Let’s Load it (IMP DNK)

 Very striking black brindle puppy dog, he has tight well-padded feet, straight front with ample amount of bone, nice width to chest, strong but clean head, correct scissor bite, with well-placed dark eyes and neat ears, leading into strong short neck, with well-placed shoulders, nice rib for dog of this age, level topline, well-muscled hind quarters, moved well once settled, Best Puppy in Breed. One to watch in the future in my opinion.

Second – Plumstead – Jazostaffs Cotswold Gem

Black brindle bitch with flash of white on chest, tidy feet, straight front, good width of chest, lovely strong yet feminine head, beautiful expression, nicely placed dark round eyes, very tidy ears, correct scissor bite, good neck into well-placed shoulders, good top line, nice rib leading into light loins, rear quarters developing well, tail carried correctly, moved really well at one with her handler.

Junior

First – Petts – Arkenstaff Shes The One

Black brindle bitch, straight front, alert expression, with clean feminine head with correct scissor bite, good ears, level top line, nicely defined rear quarters, carried tail well, energetic on the move but settled well made her handler work for it.

Second – Cockeran – Bullybranch Clever Coal

Red dog, tight feet, ok front, good head, correct scissor bite, level top line, ok hind quarters, good tail set, moved well.

Post Graduate

First – Duffield and Mansell Duffield – Sharmara Lacrnum Inflamari At Duffman JW

Red dog with white chest with a captivating expression, tidy feet, good straight front with good width to chest, strong masculine and clean head, correct scissor bite, with well-placed dark round eyes, tidy ears which he uses to his advantage, well-muscled strong neck, leading into well-defined shoulders, good spring of rib and a level topline, strong backend that is in fit condition, tail carried correctly, moved well, coat was tight and in great condition, handler brought the best out of him Reserve Best of Breed.

Second – O’Malley – Thebilecious Te Amo Atlomstaffs

Red bitch with flash of white on chest, good front, nice feminine head with dark round eyes and well-placed ears, correct scissor bite, level topline, good hind quarters, tail set ok, moved well.

Open

First – Johnson – Tillcarr Fire Soldier JW

Black brindle dog, outstanding example of the breed, tidy feet, straight front with substance, good width to chest, strong head with a distinct stop, round dark eyes, with very tidy ears, used to create a mesmerizing expression, correct scissor bite, short strong muscular neck, well-placed muscular shoulders, good spring of rib, level top line, light in loin, close coupled, well-muscled hind quarters, stifles well bent, correct tail carriage, moved well once settled, coat was tight and in gleaming condition, pleased to award Best of Breed.

Second – Lloyd – Kalostaff Es Lo Que Es JW

Black brindle dog, tidy feet, well boned front, good width to chest, strong head slightly longer in muzzle than first, tidy ears, well-placed eyes, correct scissor bite, strong neck, level top line, well-muscled defined hind quarters, correct tail set, moved well, coat was tight, dog was in fit condition, pushed hard for Reserve Best of Breed would just like to have seen more expression.
