Irish Red and White Setter

Open

1st – Tait, Mrs J – TALINTYRE FOMHAR REIVER

I judged this boy as a baby and my opinion of him hasn’t changed, I loved him then and still do, he has the most beautiful head and expression, correct ear set and perfect mouth. Strong arched neck flowing into well laid back shoulders, deep chest, good turn of stifle which he uses to his advantage on the move. BOB

2nd – Gibson, Mrs E – FOREVERKNOX MO ANAM CARA

5yr old girl, pleasing head, straight forelegs and just enough depth of chest, I would prefer more bend of stifle.

English Setter

Open

1st – Taylor, Mr D – KANIETTER KOCOA

5yr old boy who has a lovely outline when stacked. Lean head with good stop, good muzzle, I would prefer a better mouth and more width to his chest. He has a good length of neck, level topline and good tail set, movement was slightly erratic but the ground wasn’t the best. BOB

Gordon Setter

Post Graduate

1st – Miller Webb, Mrs B – KEWSTORE OCEAN SEAHORSE

I loved the head on this 2yr old girl, deep but not course, good mouth, and nice length of muzzle. She has a super front, neck and depth of brisket, level topline, nothing exaggerated.

Open

1st – Reed, Mr DJ F – KEWSTORE MR SANDMAN

Litter brother to the above who also presented a lovely outline, masculine head but not overdone with good stop. Nice straight front, well arched neck and good layback of shoulder. The ground didn’t help his movement but was happy to award him BOB over his sister.

Weimaraner

Post Graduate

1st – Mullinger Mrs AE – ALADDINS GENIE

Upstanding boy who really gave his handler a hard time, he won this class on his overall balance and movement. He has well tucked in elbows, nice turn of stifle, level topline and a good tail set which he used to his advantage. Good ratio to head with deep flews, well set eyes. He is possibly carrying a little too much weight.

2nd – Balmer, Mrs P & Mrs T – TRAPALEBA CARRERA

Nice girl with good head, neck and topline, I would prefer that her elbows had a better tuck and that she didn’t fly her tail.

Open

1st – Balmer, Mr P & Mrs T – TRAPALEBA DIOR JW

Feminine girl with lovely expression, super mouth, well set ears, strong neck leading into well placed shoulders, could maybe do with a little more foerchest but good deep brisket and level topline. Moved soundly. BOB

2nd – Rayner & Maskell, Mrs C & Mrs S – ENJAGER ELEGANCE FOR BROWNBANK JW

A lot to like about this girl, nice head and expression, well placed ears, strong neck, good depth of brisket, I just preferred the topline on 1st. Moved well.

Pointer

Post Graduate and Open

From this point my notes aren’t helpful at all, the rain certainly did its worst!!

I’m looking at the photo’s I took and loved all of the dogs I placed.

My BPIB – Edmondson & Robertshaw, Miss H & Mrs CA – CROOKRISE IDA so well balanced, she has good head proportions, super length of neck with well laid back shoulders, level topline, good bend of stifle, enjoyed her day.

BOB went to Anderson Rowell, Mrs S J – WILCHRIMANE SILENT SONNET AT DALEDANCER lovely b&w who moved effortlessly despite the ground and weather. She is well put together with good head, just the right amount of depth of chest, straight forelegs and good turn of stifle.

Thank you to all exhibitors who entered under me, your dogs are a credit to you all
