I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for their kind invitation to judge the Pastoral Group and several Pastoral breeds, along with Beagles and Miniature Pinschers. Thank you to the exhibitors who kindly supported their respective breeds, at this show, I had an enjoyable day’s judging.

1st Miller: Alkira Beau Showtime

Two lovely exhibits, litter brother and sister. Litter brother won the day, handsome 15-month-old tan and white who had a lovely upright stance showing off his shapely profile both standing and on the move. All male head piece, expressive dark brown eyes, displaying a keen powerful expression, good shape to skull, well hung long leathers framing his face, good depth to stop, firm strong muzzle, correct bite. Clean outline to good length of neck, set well into well laid shoulders, correct front assembly, body set on well boned legs and well knuckled feet. Firm well-muscled body, and topline, tight elbows to chest. Coat in lovely condition and well presented. Good development to hindquarters, well defined and angulated with hocks well let down. Lovely set on tail and always carried correctly. On the move really drove out showing off his strong quarters, good front action on return. Please to award him BOB and I believe Reserve in the Hound Group.  

2nd Miller: Alkira Beau Golden Girl

A feminine version of her brother, has many of the same attributes, though just felt her sibling had slightly firmer rear movement to clinch the class. Attractive head and expression, lovely balanced shape, slight dome to skull, long well shaped leathers contouring her face, good depth to stop, soft dark eyes, good foreface, and length to firm muzzle, good lips. Well placed shoulders from a lovely length to slightly arched neck. Stood four square with a lovely balance and substance to a well angulated body. Tail set correctly carried well on the move. On the move moved true in both directions showing an easy and sound action.

1st Borg: Alibor Gingerbeard

A well-built 2 yr old tan and white bitch, displayed a lovely, graceful silhouette on the stand, stood over the ground well. Feminine, but with substance, showing good bone throughout. Pleasing type with an attractive head and expression. Lovely dark keen eyes and low set ear placements of good length framing her face. Slight dome to skull of moderate width, good stop, firm muzzle. Good reach to neck set onto well laid shoulders, excellent fore chest and front. Well-proportioned body, good depth to chest, steady topline, always carried her tail in the correct position. A good, constructed sound moving exhibit, who really stepped out showing her positive movement. Pleased to award her RBOB    

2nd Brownlow: Rushwater Violet Sky

Well-presented 3 yr old tri bitch, lovely coat condition in good bloom covering a sound body with good muscle tone. Overall body proportions made for a good profile, giving a good picture standing. Displayed a confident attitude, which showed in her movement with her easy strides, would have liked a slightly firmer rear movement. Graceful, with well-shaped head and expression, slight domed skull, moderate width, low set leathers framing her face. Good length to muzzle, coal black nose. Good length to strong neck, sitting well into shoulders, kept a good level topline, good tail carriage well set. Plenty depth to chest, good ribcage well sprung, tight elbows, well angulated hindquarters.

1st Giles-Wyatt: Clarismore Crown Albert JW

2 yr old tri dog, handsome hound, all male in appearance, stood proudly showing off his lovely balanced frame, which he held when on the move. Lovely masculine head piece and expression, well-shaped, moderate width to skull, low set leathers framing his face, strong muzzle, jet black nose. Firm supportive neck, set into well laid shoulders, sound front assembly, good level topline, strong loin, good tail carriage. Well-muscled and boned body, good depth to chest plenty spring to ribcage. Firm well developed defined hindquarters, stood well on strong legs and well knuckled feet. Moved efficiently with sound firm driving actions, and lovely front actions.

2nd Simkin: Simeldaka Sliema Madame

Nearly 2 yr old tri bitch, well-built feminine exhibit, unlucky to meet winner today. Endearing pretty head, soft but workmanlike expression, lovely shaped dark eyes of good shape. Well-shaped head, low set ears of good length hanging close to the side of her face. Good length to muzzle, and depth to stop. Lovely length to slightly arched clean neck, well defined lines to body, a firm topline leading to a correctly placed tail. Stood proudly showing off her well boned and muscled body, good front, depth to fore chest, tight elbows, lovely spring to ribs. Showed sound construction overall, which showed when on the move with her positive movement front and rear.

1st Sandells: Austmans in my Element at Shawmut

2 yr old blue specked bitch displayed a lovely feminine head. Well-developed muscled cheeks and muzzle to head. Black eye patches surrounding her oval dark eyes, some nice tan patches as well. Strong jaw, correct bite, coal black nose. Used her ears well, good width between. Firm medium length neck, good depth and ribbing to chest, well bodied and angulated throughout. Firm topline always carried her tail well. Moved soundly around the ring moving in harmony with her handler, just a touch close going away from me, looked good in profile standing and on the move. Pleased to award her BOB

1st Land & Gittins: Artistic Love Tinted Dream into Casmawllan (imp Pol)

Attractive 15month old red merle and white bitch, soft gentle brown eyes, setting off her lovely feminine expression. Shapely headpiece, good use of her ears carried correctly, flat skull, slight stop, good length to muzzle, correct bite. Good development to body for age, firm neck carrying her head proudly, showing off a lovely body profile standing and on the move. Well-built body always held a good topline, neck sitting well into her shoulders, plenty depth to chest, well ribbed ribcage. Good firm hindquarters used to propel her on the move displaying good drive to the rear, covered the ground well, and showed lovely smooth side movement. Well-presented conditioned coat. Pleased to award her BOB and Pastoral Group Three

1st Virgo: Amberslade Galway Girl

Two yr old Black tri coloured bitch who displayed a good overall balanced conformation. Well, coated showing off her glossy black body coat of good length. Lovely clear facial markings, well set brown eyes, showing off an intelligent feminine expression. Good shape and portions to head, always used her ears, flat broad skull, good length to muzzle. Moderate reach to neck well-muscled, leading to a good level topline. Well angulated front, deep chest to elbow, well ribbed. Plenty of substance and muscle to body throughout, firm well shaped hindquarters. Moved with purpose front and rear.    

2nd Bassett: Starlink Beat Goes On

Charming 2 yr old red tri-coloured bitch, presented in a lovely condition, good sheen to her deep rich red coloured coat of good density and texture. Had a most delightful temperament, well balanced and not lacking in showmanship. Good overall body shape and breed type. Displayed a pleasing head, soft brown eyes set correctly, gentle feminine expression, good flat broad skull, used her ears well, good length to firm muzzle. Firm shape to neck leading to a sound topline, well covered and defined hindquarters. Good angulations to front and rear, nicely boned throughout. Plenty depth to chest, well sprung ribcage. Move in a free and easy sound driving motion around the ring.

1st Bowden; Subessen the Wonder of You JW

Smart looking 2 yr old blue and white male, upstanding in appearance when standing showing off a lovely side profile. All male headpiece, flat broad skull, leathers hung well, good furnishings to head, lovely soft gentle eyes, good stop, strong muzzle of good length. Nice slightly arched neck sitting well into shoulders. Well, boned throughout, good legs and feet, showing good width and depth to chest and ribcage. Stable topline, well covered muscled hindquarters, good bend to stifle, well placed tail and carried correctly. Moved soundly with smooth purposeful actions showing of his lovely coat. Pleased to award him RBOB         

2nd Bevis: Beabeardies Blue Monday

Gentle 2 yr old blue and white bitch, feminine head, lovely soft pretty expression, expressive eyes of good shape. Lovely broad flat skull, leathers framing side of face, strong muzzle of good length, black nose. Arched neck flowing into well laid shoulders, good front and fore chest. Straight topline, lovely coat of good length covering her shapely body, chest well ribbed, well-muscled and boned throughout, well-set tail. Good rear angulation, showing good muscle tone. Moved in a sound honest effortless way, showing good drive.

A lovely mature 7 yr old black & white bitch, who stood proudly showing off her well-presented coat of good length, a very nice, mature female with many attributes, lovely outline combined substance with style. Feminine head, good broad flat skull, good ear carriage, large soft eyes good eyebrows and furnishings to head, strong muzzle. Good length to neck, firm topline, strong loin, and shapely hindquarters. Plenty depth to chest and ribcage, well-muscled and boned. Moved exceptionally well with reach and drive covering the ground well.

Pleased to award her BOB. 

2nd Bevis: Beabeardies Cinnamon Girl

Attractive 6 yr old fawn and white bitch, had the most pleasing head, soft typical expression and eyes with head furnishings. Good broad flat skull, well hung leathers, strong muzzle. Well-made front, good lay of shoulders, well boned throughout, lovely depth to chest, well ribbed, good length to neck leading into a firm level topline, good loin and tail set. Shapely angulated hindquarters used well displaying a very typical and positive steady action on the move. Lovely coat draping over her shapely body.

1st Bennett: Zethus the Great Hunter Da Casa Mont’alves

Handsome 2 yr old reddish fawn male, upstanding in appearance showing of a proudly held head. In his side profile showed of a lovely square shape, well-muscled and toned throughout. Slight arch to neck leading into good shoulder placements, level topline, ribs well covered and of good depth. Well, boned throughout, good shapely hindquarters used to advantage when on the move motoring firmly around the ring. Flowed better when his owner took over from another handler. Eye catching headpiece. Well chiselled head and muzzle, black coloured muzzle, keen expression to his dark eyes, black rims, jet black nose. Used his high set ears well, always displayed an alert expression. Please to award him BOB and Reserve in the Pastoral Group

1st Sutton: CH Foryd Mystic Soul

Impressive 3 yr old fawn black masked male, very much on his toes always showing off. Well moulded chiselled quality head, darkest of eyes giving a lovely masculine expression. Good ear set always used, jet black nose. Head carried proudly on a shapely neckline of good length, leading into good angulate shoulders and upper arm. Lovely held topline, good tail set, tail carried well. Firm well angulated hindquarters moving true in both directions, side profile showing his well-presented coat of good length and colour. Pleased to award him BOB, pity he could not be shown in the Pastoral Group, but I totally understand as it was getting quite late on for some of the exhibitors to stay on for the Groups.

1st Sutton & Macandie: Niavana Solider of Fortune

Good looking 2 yr old black masked male with grey black overlay. Lovely headed exhibit, good parallel plains to head, Displayed a lovely noble expression with bright dark expressive eyes, slight stop, muzzle of good length, coal black nose. Used his alert ears well. Good outline with excellent neck and shoulders, plenty depth to fore chest, and ribcage, pleasing front. Straight topline leading to a well-placed tail carried correctly. Good firm muscled body and shapely hindquarters. Stood square on profile, on the move displayed a lovely sound rear and front action showing off his well-presented coat. Pleased to award him BOB and like his kennel mate was not present in the Pastoral Group.

Attractive 21-month tri-coloured bitch, pretty head, lovely feminine expression, soft expressive almond shaped eyes. Small ears used well flat skull between, good clear facial markings, rich tan, good length to well blunted clean wedge muzzle. Coal black nose. Lovely white collar framing her head which set it off, jet black glossy body coat in lovely condition and presentation, shapely body beneath it. Moved graceful and smoothly around the ring. Showed a lovely, breed type standing and on the move. Displayed a lovely gentle temperament. Pleased to award her BOB

4 yr old blue merle male, keen showman in appearance, well-proportioned exhibit, standing smartly and attentive to his handler. Manly head piece all male expression, good dark pigmentation to nose, well-shaped almond blue eyes, flat skull, good use of well-set ears. Balanced head with parallel plains, good, blunt muzzle. Lovely neck, shoulders and chest, white collar framing his head. Scored in make, shape and soundness. Well-presented coat showing of his figure well. Steady and sound on the move going out and back. Pleased to award him RBOB

Well-shaped 4yr old tri-coloured male, had a proud stance standing showing off his clean-cut outline and, on the move, handler always getting the best out of him. Lovely head he had a keen alert appearance, and expression. Well-shaped expressive dark almond eyes. Good strong jawline and length of muzzle, cold black nose. Well arched neck, good muscle tone to it and to the shoulders, lovely front assembly. Dead level topline well set on tail, good angulated quarters well off for bone throughout. Good legs and feet used well when moving with style in lovely straight lines. Pleased to award him BOB and 4th in the Pastoral Group      

2nd Warren & Lusty: Coldelee Jupiter Rises with Blamorder JW

Shapely 4 yr old tri coloured dog, full of character, very much on his toes, displayed a lovely alert, keen and friendly attitude always. Good manly head lovely shape to side profile. Flat skull, ears carried semi erect, clean lines to muzzle, black nose, correct bite. Well-muscled arched neckline supporting head well. Good length to neck in balance with his body, good angulations to shoulders, plenty of fore chest. Well-developed legs and feet, good bone throughout. Body of good proportions, plenty depth to chest, well-muscled, firm well defined hindquarters. Good drive to the rear covering the ground well. Pleased to award him RBOB.

Small masculine head and manly expression, lovely dark expressive eyes, defined stop, good length to muzzle, black nose, correct bite, ears framing face. Good clean firm neck and shoulders, straight topline leading to a tightly curled correctly settail. Well proportioned, sturdy body, well-constructed front and hindquarters, good presentation to harsh textured coat. Displayed an easy sound action on the move. Please to award him BOB.

Expressive dark eyes, black rims, good length to muzzle. Lovely rectangular shaped body, good depth to chest, well boned front and rear. Strong neck, leading into good, constructed shoulders and front, well boned throughout. Broad and good depth to chest to elbow, well ribbed, good length to body shapely figure, well covered hindquarters, well placed tail of good length. Charming 6 yr old bitch white with badger patches. Lovely feminine bitch, well-presented heavy coat over her shapely frame. On the move moved in a sound stately manner showing her correct conformation with good drive to the rear. Well moulded balance head, lovely gentle almond shaped eye, ears set correctly used well, strong muzzle, large black nose. Lovely neck set into good shoulders, broad, deep chest and ribcage, good length to body. Well-muscled shapely hindquarters, set off by her thickly coated tail carried well. Pleased to award her RBOB.

1st Howlett: Artsam Bedazzled for Tiksi

A cracking 15-month-old bitch who looked a picture in profile and certainly not disappointed on the move and standing. Showed lots of confidence and had a delightful temperament really on her toes right to the end and had that lovely Sammie smile all the time. Respond well to her handler and did all that was asked of her. Well-presented coat in a lovely white glossy sheen and condition covering her shapely body well, good black pigmentation to nose, lips and eye rims. Most attractive head, bright almond shape dark brown eyes, good erect ears set on a wide broad flat skull. Good length to arched neck carrying her head proudly. Firm topline, displayed good balance and sound construction, well set and profusely coated tail carried correctly. On the move really moved freely with style, lovely drive to the rear. Pleased to award her BOB and Winner of the Pastoral Group,

2nd Wickenden: Lupussky Eos Skadi

A 12-month bitch displaying a lovely, moulded wedge-shaped head, nicely proportioned, correct dark eye, rims and placement, soft feminine happy expression, good length to muzzle, coal black nose, correct bite. Good broad flat skull, showing off her well-set ears. Used her slightly arched neck to carry her head well, correct front assembly, straight front, good feet. Has a quality and proportion of bone and substance throughout, good muscle tone for age. Level topline, lovely placed covered tail, good rear angulation without being overdone. Well, coated overall, showing off her lovely profile. Moved with good straight actions in a free and easy manner.

Pretty 22-month-old bitch, a feminine and quality exhibit, shown to advantage, has a lovable temperament and full of character. Lovely desirable expression, soft dark almond shaped eyes, coal black nose, good length to muzzle. Charming well shaped head, broad flat skull, used her ears to advantage. Clean neckline, well laid shoulders, good fore chest, plenty depth to chest, tight elbows good ribbing. Firm topline held well finishing with a correctly carried tail. Lovely presented coat of good texture overall. Well, put together body showing off her well-constructed figure. Showy and co-operative, moved soundly with ease and plenty of drive. Pleased to award her RBOB.

Impressive 19-month-old brindle and white bitch. Very showy exhibit, carried herself well on the move and standing, always responding to her handler. In profile displayed a balanced body contour, carrying her feminine head proudly. Lovely foxy expression, set off by her dark well shaped eyes. Good width to flat skull between well placed erect ears. Well tapered muzzle large black nose. Firm white collared neck, set into good angulated shoulders, strong legs good feet, tight elbows, well sprung ribcage. Firm level topline always held well. Used her tail correctly. Well-muscled throughout good coverage to hindquarters used well when on the move using her hocks to really drive away and lovely front actions returning. Pleased to award her BOB close up for a Group placing.      

2nd Young: Gowerston Genesis

Charming 2 yr old blue merle bitch, with the mixed coloured eyes which gave her an enchanting feminine foxy expression. Good head carriage showing a balance skull and foreface set off by her erect nicely placed ears. Coat in good order, well-presented lovely sheen and texture. Clean neckline, pleasing front, fore chest, legs and feet. Kept a lovely firm topline, good proportions to body, plenty depth to chest good ribbing. Shapely quarters, well set tail carriage. Moved well when viewed from all angles, but at times could have been a little bit tidier on her front movement on return.

Pretty red and white 2 yr old bitch, most delightful personality and character. Presented a sweet foxy head and expression, lovely soft medium brown eyes. Good width to flat skull, lovely erect ear set always used. Moderate stop, good length to muzzle, black nose. Good reach of neck, white collar, supported on good shoulders, well boned throughout, good firm legs and feet. Angulation in correct proportions front and rear. Lovely shape to body, stable topline, well developed body for age, deep chest and ribcage. Neat well-developed hindquarters, moved with style and plenty of sound free drive, lovely front action. Pleased to award her BOB.

Attractive 7-month-old fawn bitch, lovely pup with a charming, happy character. Feminine appealing head with a pretty expression. Good shape to slightly rounded skull, good depth to stop, firm muzzle, correct bite, large black nose. Soft large expressive dark eyes, black rims. High set ears framing her face well. Good length to arched neck, spirit level topline, good long covered tail, used and carried correctly. Good front for age, nicely developed body, good conformation to front and rear. Promising puppy with all the essentials in good measure. Body covered in a good textured coat, with good head furnishings. On the move really strode out with drive and always kept a clean outline.      

2nd Clark & Bartlett: Ntsanyana Winter Eros (Border Collie)

Handsome 7-month-old lilac merle and white male attending his first show. Enjoyed always showing himself off. Pleasing head type, well-shaped oval bright blue eyes, mischievous expression. Fairly broad width to skull, good use of high set ears. Good stop and length to tapered muzzle, correct bite, self-coloured nostril. Ample reach of slightly arched neck into sloping shoulders, good front assembly, good legs and feet. Well-developed shapely body and ribcage for age, nicely muscled. Kept a good level topline, carried his tail well, defined angulated hindquarters, which he used showing a sound motion and drive going around the ring.

1st Mitchell: Valdosta Je Amour (Shetland Sheepdog)

Smart 17-month-old tri male, looked a picture in profile standing and gracefully moving around the ring, went well for his handler. Lovely sheen to his profuse black coat, covering his shapely body, white mane collar. Handsome head, good facial markings, good rich tan markings, small well-set ears always used. Flat skull, well-shaped almond dark eyes, good depth to stop, correct length to blunt muzzle, correct bite, coal black nose. Head carried proudly, well angulated front and in the rear, lovely depth to fore chest and chest. Well-muscled throughout, good spring to ribs, kept a firm topline, tail correctly set low. On the move displayed a sound easy effortless stride showing himself off.

Lovely 18-month-old sable and white male a keen showman, who was well made with absolutely nothing to hide. An honest, happy character, who showed himself to advantage all the time. Sturdy, typy with a well-balanced contour. Well, presented coat, in lovely condition and texture. Elegant manly headpiece, masculine expression, soft dark expressive eyes, well set ears of good shape, good depth to stop, flat cheeks, good length to blunt muzzle, black nose, correct bite. Lovely length to neck leading into well laid shoulders, sound front, firm level topline, with correct bone and well-muscled throughout. Plenty depth to chest, good coverage to well-shaped hindquarters, good tail set. Moved true in both directions, with drive and style, responding well to his handler.

Attractive 7 yr old blue merle bitch, shown in a beautifully full coat, in lovely condition and of good length, white collar. Displayed a lovely kind natured temperament was eager to always show herself off. Soft feminine refined head and expression, lovely dark almond shaped eyes, well set. Good placement of ears, flat skull, flat cheeks, well defined muzzle. Head carried well on a good reach of neck, kept a good level topline, pleasing construction to her front and rear, good angulations, which was used well when she flowed around the ring showing a lovely breed profile both standing and on the move. Lovely, mature body frame, good muscle tone which completed the picture.  

2nd Bowden: Subessen Heart of Rome (Re-Imp) (Bearded Collie)

Another handsome 7 yr old black and white male, in a beautiful full presented coat contouring his shapely sound body. Stood proudly showing a lovely breed type profile. Well-proportioned masculine head, good ear carriage and eye placement, plenty of head furnishings, strong muzzle of good length. Good use of neck, set into a good lay of shoulder, firm topline, lovely depth to chest and well sprung ribs. Tail carriage set correctly, well-muscled body, well define hindquarters, good bend to stifle. On the move really flowed around the ring, using his muscular hindquarters to show off his lovely drive.

1st Clough: Evad Lite Breeze (Shetland Sheepdog)

Well, presented 5 yr old sable and white male, who was shown well by his handler, who got the best out of him, to portray himself well standing and on the move. Masculine wedge-shaped refined head, flat cheeks, good use of his small ears. Alert expression, bright dark eyes with black rims. Good length to muzzle, black nose. Used his neck well proudly showing his head off, well laid-back shoulders, well boned legs and body. Firm topline good sweep over loin well placed tail used correctly. Good angulation to front and rear and nicely muscled throughout. On the move flowed freely at a good steady pace with a good drive to the rear.    

2nd Ellis: Lounatuuli Aurora Lumonova (Finnish Lapphund) 

Pretty 10-month cream bitch, with lovely black pigmentation to nose, eye rims and lip gums. Bright dark oval shaped expressive eyes. A happy playful expression which displayed her mischievous character, very much on her toes and loved her time in the ring. A well moulded head and used her ears to advantage, good length to muzzle, correct bite. Strong neckline of medium length, flowing into good shoulders, straight forelegs, well arched feet. Good development to body, well ribbed ribcage of good depth. Straight topline leading to a high set curled tail. Muscular hindquarters used well when going around the ring, settled down on the stride once she got going.

Handsome masculine head, good broad square skull, ears flat to side of face, lovely expressive eyes, well defined stop, good strong muzzle, correct bite, coal black nose, good head furnishings. Graceful neckline, white collar, neck leading into good angulated shoulders, firm legs, good feet. Lovely compact firm developed body, plenty depth to chest tight elbows, good ribbing, lovely topline, gentle rise to loin, well-muscled hindquarters for age, carried tail well on the move. Moved soundly with good drive to rear covering the ground well, lovely side profile on the move.

A real sweetie, 9-month-old sable and white bitch who portrayed a graceful outline when shown. In beautiful condition, good wealth of coat for age, attractive size and balance. Well-constructed youngster, typically sound and muscled throughout. Soft feminine head and gentle expression, lovely shape to her dark almond shaped eyes, good, wedged head shape, small ears set well and used, pleasing length to muzzle, correct bite, coal black nose. True front, lovely clean neck, leading to a level topline, nice sweep over loin, tail placed correctly. Well-developed body, angulation in correct proportions. On the move, moved with good straight action and flowing smooth movement.

Always showed a clean-cut outline standing, covered in a glossy sheen to his black coat, showing off his rich tan markings in the right places. Manly headpiece, good strong expression, shapely dark eyes, good erect ears used well, flat skull, good foreface, strong muzzle jet black nose. Graceful slight arch to neck leading to a firm topline and a well-constructed body, lovely depth to chest and ribcage. Well-muscled boy and hindquarters showing off with his well-defined hindquarters. Moved with purpose going around the ring, lovely hackney action. Pleased to award him RBOB.    

2nd Colbourne-Baber: CH Danton Buttercup at Bourneways JW

Elegant 3 yr old red showgirl, who gracefully showed herself off,standing and moved well with verve and showed continually, did all her handler asked. Carried herself proudly and moved soundly with lovely hackney action front and rear. Appealing shapely feminine head, soft typical expression, dark bright eyes. Nice balance of muzzle to skull. Ample reach of arched neck into well placed shoulders, good straight front, good catlike feet. Good depth to chest tight elbows, firm topline, good placement of tail, well-muscled and defined hindquarters. Winner today just a touch more on his toes to win the class.

1st Miller: Alkira Beau Showtime

Two lovely exhibits, litter brother and sister. Litter brother won the day, handsome 15-month-old tan and white who had a lovely upright stance showing off his shapely profile both standing and on the move. All male head piece, expressive dark brown eyes, displaying a keen powerful expression, good shape to skull, well hung long leathers framing his face, good depth to stop, firm strong muzzle, correct bite. Clean outline to good length of neck, set well into well laid shoulders, correct front assembly, body set on well boned legs and well knuckled feet. Firm well-muscled body, and topline, tight elbows to chest. Coat in lovely condition and well presented. Good development to hindquarters, well defined and angulated with hocks well let down. Lovely set on tail and always carried correctly. On the move really drove out showing off his strong quarters, good front action on return. Please to award him BOB and I believe Reserve in the Hound Group.  

2nd Miller: Alkira Beau Golden Girl

A feminine version of her brother, has many of the same attributes, though just felt her sibling had slightly firmer rear movement to clinch the class. Attractive head and expression, lovely balanced shape, slight dome to skull, long well shaped leathers contouring her face, good depth to stop, soft dark eyes, good foreface, and length to firm muzzle, good lips. Well placed shoulders from a lovely length to slightly arched neck. Stood four square with a lovely balance and substance to a well angulated body. Tail set correctly carried well on the move. On the move moved true in both directions showing an easy and sound action.

A well-built 2 yr old tan and white bitch, displayed a lovely, graceful silhouette on the stand, stood over the ground well. Feminine, but with substance, showing good bone throughout. Pleasing type with an attractive head and expression. Lovely dark keen eyes and low set ear placements of good length framing her face. Slight dome to skull of moderate width, good stop, firm muzzle. Good reach to neck set onto well laid shoulders, excellent fore chest and front. Well-proportioned body, good depth to chest, steady topline, always carried her tail in the correct position. A good, constructed sound moving exhibit, who really stepped out showing her positive movement. Pleased to award her RBOB    

2nd Brownlow: Rushwater Violet Sky

Well-presented 3 yr old tri bitch, lovely coat condition in good bloom covering a sound body with good muscle tone. Overall body proportions made for a good profile, giving a good picture standing. Displayed a confident attitude, which showed in her movement with her easy strides, would have liked a slightly firmer rear movement. Graceful, with well-shaped head and expression, slight domed skull, moderate width, low set leathers framing her face. Good length to muzzle, coal black nose. Good length to strong neck, sitting well into shoulders, kept a good level topline, good tail carriage well set. Plenty depth to chest, good ribcage well sprung, tight elbows, well angulated hindquarters.

2 yr old tri dog, handsome hound, all male in appearance, stood proudly showing off his lovely balanced frame, which he held when on the move. Lovely masculine head piece and expression, well-shaped, moderate width to skull, low set leathers framing his face, strong muzzle, jet black nose. Firm supportive neck, set into well laid shoulders, sound front assembly, good level topline, strong loin, good tail carriage. Well-muscled and boned body, good depth to chest plenty spring to ribcage. Firm well developed defined hindquarters, stood well on strong legs and well knuckled feet. Moved efficiently with sound firm driving actions, and lovely front actions.

2nd Simkin: Simeldaka Sliema Madame

Nearly 2 yr old tri bitch, well-built feminine exhibit, unlucky to meet winner today. Endearing pretty head, soft but workmanlike expression, lovely shaped dark eyes of good shape. Well-shaped head, low set ears of good length hanging close to the side of her face. Good length to muzzle, and depth to stop. Lovely length to slightly arched clean neck, well defined lines to body, a firm topline leading to a correctly placed tail. Stood proudly showing off her well boned and muscled body, good front, depth to fore chest, tight elbows, lovely spring to ribs. Showed sound construction overall, which showed when on the move with her positive movement front and rear.

2 yr old blue specked bitch displayed a lovely feminine head. Well-developed muscled cheeks and muzzle to head. Black eye patches surrounding her oval dark eyes, some nice tan patches as well. Strong jaw, correct bite, coal black nose. Used her ears well, good width between. Firm medium length neck, good depth and ribbing to chest, well bodied and angulated throughout. Firm topline always carried her tail well. Moved soundly around the ring moving in harmony with her handler, just a touch close going away from me, looked good in profile standing and on the move. Pleased to award her BOB

Good development to body for age, firm neck carrying her head proudly, showing off a lovely body profile standing and on the move. Well-built body always held a good topline, neck sitting well into her shoulders, plenty depth to chest, well ribbed ribcage. Good firm hindquarters used to propel her on the move displaying good drive to the rear, covered the ground well, and showed lovely smooth side movement. Well-presented conditioned coat. Two yr old Black tri coloured bitch who displayed a good overall balanced conformation. Well, coated showing off her glossy black body coat of good length. Lovely clear facial markings, well set brown eyes, showing off an intelligent feminine expression. Good shape and portions to head, always used her ears, flat broad skull, good length to muzzle. Moderate reach to neck well-muscled, leading to a good level topline. Well angulated front, deep chest to elbow, well ribbed. Plenty of substance and muscle to body throughout, firm well shaped hindquarters. Moved with purpose front and rear.    

2nd Bassett: Starlink Beat Goes On

Charming 2 yr old red tri-coloured bitch, presented in a lovely condition, good sheen to her deep rich red coloured coat of good density and texture. Had a most delightful temperament, well balanced and not lacking in showmanship. Good overall body shape and breed type. Displayed a pleasing head, soft brown eyes set correctly, gentle feminine expression, good flat broad skull, used her ears well, good length to firm muzzle. Firm shape to neck leading to a sound topline, well covered and defined hindquarters. Good angulations to front and rear, nicely boned throughout. Plenty depth to chest, well sprung ribcage. Move in a free and easy sound driving motion around the ring.

Well, boned throughout, good shapely hindquarters used to advantage when on the move motoring firmly around the ring. Flowed better when his owner took over from another handler. Eye catching headpiece. Well chiselled head and muzzle, black coloured muzzle, keen expression to his dark eyes, black rims, jet black nose. Used his high set ears well, always displayed an alert expression. Please to award him BOB and Reserve in the Pastoral Group

Impressive 3 yr old fawn black masked male, very much on his toes always showing off. Well moulded chiselled quality head, darkest of eyes giving a lovely masculine expression. Good ear set always used, jet black nose. Head carried proudly on a shapely neckline of good length, leading into good angulate shoulders and upper arm. Lovely held topline, good tail set, tail carried well. Firm well angulated hindquarters moving true in both directions, side profile showing his well-presented coat of good length and colour. Pleased to award him BOB, pity he could not be shown in the Pastoral Group, but I totally understand as it was getting quite late on for some of the exhibitors to stay on for the Groups.

Good looking 2 yr old black masked male with grey black overlay. Lovely headed exhibit, good parallel plains to head, Displayed a lovely noble expression with bright dark expressive eyes, slight stop, muzzle of good length, coal black nose. Used his alert ears well. Good outline with excellent neck and shoulders, plenty depth to fore chest, and ribcage, pleasing front. Straight topline leading to a well-placed tail carried correctly. Good firm muscled body and shapely hindquarters. Stood square on profile, on the move displayed a lovely sound rear and front action showing off his well-presented coat. Pleased to award him BOB and like his kennel mate was not present in the Pastoral Group.

Lovely white collar framing her head which set it off, jet black glossy body coat in lovely condition and presentation, shapely body beneath it. Moved graceful and smoothly around the ring. Well arched neck, good muscle tone to it and to the shoulders, lovely front assembly. Dead level topline well set on tail, good angulated quarters well off for bone throughout. Good legs and feet used well when moving with style in lovely straight lines. Pleased to award him BOB and 4th in the Pastoral Group

Good length to neck in balance with his body, good angulations to shoulders, plenty of fore chest. Well-developed legs and feet, good bone throughout. A cracking 15-month-old bitch who looked a picture in profile and certainly not disappointed on the move and standing. Showed lots of confidence and had a delightful temperament really on her toes right to the end and had that lovely Sammie smile all the time. Respond well to her handler and did all that was asked of her. Well-presented coat in a lovely white glossy sheen and condition covering her shapely body well, good black pigmentation to nose, lips and eye rims. A 12-month bitch displaying a lovely, moulded wedge-shaped head, nicely proportioned, correct dark eye, rims and placement, soft feminine happy expression, good length to muzzle, coal black nose, correct bite. Good broad flat skull, showing off her well-set ears. Used her slightly arched neck to carry her head well, correct front assembly, straight front, good feet. Has a quality and proportion of bone and substance throughout, good muscle tone for age. Level topline, lovely placed covered tail, good rear angulation without being overdone. Well, coated overall, showing off her lovely profile. Moved with good straight actions in a free and easy manner.

Pretty 22-month-old bitch, a feminine and quality exhibit, shown to advantage, has a lovable temperament and full of character. Lovely desirable expression, soft dark almond shaped eyes, coal black nose, good length to muzzle. Charming well shaped head, broad flat skull, used her ears to advantage. Clean neckline, well laid shoulders, good fore chest, plenty depth to chest, tight elbows good ribbing. Firm topline held well finishing with a correctly carried tail. Lovely presented coat of good texture overall. Well, put together body showing off her well-constructed figure. Showy and co-operative, moved soundly with ease and plenty of drive. Pleased to award her RBOB.

Impressive 19-month-old brindle and white bitch. Very showy exhibit, carried herself well on the move and standing, always responding to her handler. In profile displayed a balanced body contour, carrying her feminine head proudly. Lovely foxy expression, set off by her dark well shaped eyes. Good width to flat skull between well placed erect ears. Well tapered muzzle large black nose. Firm white collared neck, set into good angulated shoulders, strong legs good feet, tight elbows, well sprung ribcage. Firm level topline always held well. Used her tail correctly. Well-muscled throughout good coverage to hindquarters used well when on the move using her hocks to really drive away and lovely front actions returning. Pleased to award her BOB close up for a Group placing.      

2nd Young: Gowerston Genesis

Charming 2 yr old blue merle bitch, with the mixed coloured eyes which gave her an enchanting feminine foxy expression. Good head carriage showing a balance skull and foreface set off by her erect nicely placed ears. Coat in good order, well-presented lovely sheen and texture. Clean neckline, pleasing front, fore chest, legs and feet. Kept a lovely firm topline, good proportions to body, plenty depth to chest good ribbing. Shapely quarters, well set tail carriage. Moved well when viewed from all angles, but at times could have been a little bit tidier on her front movement on return.

Good reach of neck, white collar, supported on good shoulders, well boned throughout, good firm legs and feet. Angulation in correct proportions front and rear. Lovely shape to body, stable topline, well developed body for age, deep chest and ribcage. Neat well-developed hindquarters, moved with style and plenty of sound free drive, lovely front action. On the move really strode out with drive and always kept a clean outline.

Handsome 7-month-old lilac merle and white male attending his first show. Enjoyed always showing himself off. Pleasing head type, well-shaped oval bright blue eyes, mischievous expression. Fairly broad width to skull, good use of high set ears. Good stop and length to tapered muzzle, correct bite, self-coloured nostril. Ample reach of slightly arched neck into sloping shoulders, good front assembly, good legs and feet. Well-developed shapely body and ribcage for age, nicely muscled. Kept a good level topline, carried his tail well, defined angulated hindquarters, which he used showing a sound motion and drive going around the ring.

Head carried proudly, well angulated front and in the rear, lovely depth to fore chest and chest. Well-muscled throughout, good spring to ribs, kept a firm topline, tail correctly set low. On the move displayed a sound easy effortless stride showing himself off.

Attractive 7 yr old blue merle bitch, shown in a beautifully full coat, in lovely condition and of good length, white collar. Displayed a lovely kind natured temperament was eager to always show herself off. Soft feminine refined head and expression, lovely dark almond shaped eyes, well set. Good placement of ears, flat skull, flat cheeks, well defined muzzle. Head carried well on a good reach of neck, kept a good level topline, pleasing construction to her front and rear, good angulations, which was used well when she flowed around the ring showing a lovely breed profile both standing and on the move. Lovely, mature body frame, good muscle tone which completed the picture.  

2nd Bowden: Subessen Heart of Rome (Re-Imp) (Bearded Collie)

Another handsome 7 yr old black and white male, in a beautiful full presented coat contouring his shapely sound body. Stood proudly showing a lovely breed type profile. Well-proportioned masculine head, good ear carriage and eye placement, plenty of head furnishings, strong muzzle of good length. Good use of neck, set into a good lay of shoulder, firm topline, lovely depth to chest and well sprung ribs. Tail carriage set correctly, well-muscled body, well define hindquarters, good bend to stifle. On the move really flowed around the ring, using his muscular hindquarters to show off his lovely drive.

Well, presented 5 yr old sable and white male, who was shown well by his handler, who got the best out of him, to portray himself well standing and on the move. Masculine wedge-shaped refined head, flat cheeks, good use of his small ears. Alert expression, bright dark eyes with black rims. Good length to muzzle, black nose. Used his neck well proudly showing his head off, well laid-back shoulders, well boned legs and body. Firm topline good sweep over loin well placed tail used correctly. Good angulation to front and rear and nicely muscled throughout. On the move flowed freely at a good steady pace with a good drive to the rear.    

2nd Ellis: Lounatuuli Aurora Lumonova (Finnish Lapphund) 

Pretty 10-month cream bitch, with lovely black pigmentation to nose, eye rims and lip gums. Bright dark oval shaped expressive eyes. A happy playful expression which displayed her mischievous character, very much on her toes and loved her time in the ring. A well moulded head and used her ears to advantage, good length to muzzle, correct bite. Strong neckline of medium length, flowing into good shoulders, straight forelegs, well arched feet. Good development to body, well ribbed ribcage of good depth. Straight topline leading to a high set curled tail. Muscular hindquarters used well when going around the ring, settled down on the stride once she got going.

Soft feminine head and gentle expression, lovely shape to her dark almond shaped eyes, good, wedged head shape, small ears set well and used, pleasing length to muzzle, correct bite, coal black nose. True front, lovely clean neck, leading to a level topline, nice sweep over loin, tail placed correctly. Well-developed body, angulation in correct proportions. On the move, moved with good straight action and flowing smooth movement.

Manly headpiece, good strong expression, shapely dark eyes, good erect ears used well, flat skull, good foreface, strong muzzle jet black nose. Graceful slight arch to neck leading to a firm topline and a well-constructed body, lovely depth to chest and ribcage. Well-muscled boy and hindquarters showing off with his well-defined hindquarters. Moved with purpose going around the ring, lovely hackney action. Pleased to award him RBOB.    

2nd Colbourne-Baber: CH Danton Buttercup at Bourneways JW

Elegant 3 yr old red showgirl, who gracefully showed herself off,standing and moved well with verve and showed continually, did all her handler asked. Carried herself proudly and moved soundly with lovely hackney action front and rear. Appealing shapely feminine head, soft typical expression, dark bright eyes. Nice balance of muzzle to skull. Ample reach of arched neck into well placed shoulders, good straight front, good catlike feet. Good depth to chest tight elbows, firm topline, good placement of tail, well-muscled and defined hindquarters. Winner today just a touch more on his toes to win the class.

Two lovely exhibits, litter brother and sister. Litter brother won the day, handsome 15-month-old tan and white who had a lovely upright stance showing off his shapely profile both standing and on the move. All male head piece, expressive dark brown eyes, displaying a keen powerful expression, good shape to skull, well hung long leathers framing his face, good depth to stop, firm strong muzzle, correct bite. Clean outline to good length of neck, set well into well laid shoulders, correct front assembly, body set on well boned legs and well knuckled feet. Firm well-muscled body, and topline, tight elbows to chest. Coat in lovely condition and well presented. Good development to hindquarters, well defined and angulated with hocks well let down. Lovely set on tail and always carried correctly. On the move really drove out showing off his strong quarters, good front action on return. Please to award him BOB and I believe Reserve in the Hound Group.  

2nd Miller: Alkira Beau Golden Girl

A feminine version of her brother, has many of the same attributes, though just felt her sibling had slightly firmer rear movement to clinch the class. Attractive head and expression, lovely balanced shape, slight dome to skull, long well shaped leathers contouring her face, good depth to stop, soft dark eyes, good foreface, and length to firm muzzle, good lips. Well placed shoulders from a lovely length to slightly arched neck. Stood four square with a lovely balance and substance to a well angulated body. Tail set correctly carried well on the move. On the move moved true in both directions showing an easy and sound action.

1st Borg: Alibor Gingerbeard

A well-built 2 yr old tan and white bitch, displayed a lovely, graceful silhouette on the stand, stood over the ground well. Feminine, but with substance, showing good bone throughout. Pleasing type with an attractive head and expression. Lovely dark keen eyes and low set ear placements of good length framing her face. Slight dome to skull of moderate width, good stop, firm muzzle. Good reach to neck set onto well laid shoulders, excellent fore chest and front. Well-proportioned body, good depth to chest, steady topline, always carried her tail in the correct position. A good, constructed sound moving exhibit, who really stepped out showing her positive movement. Pleased to award her RBOB    

2nd Brownlow: Rushwater Violet Sky

Well-presented 3 yr old tri bitch, lovely coat condition in good bloom covering a sound body with good muscle tone. Overall body proportions made for a good profile, giving a good picture standing. Displayed a confident attitude, which showed in her movement with her easy strides, would have liked a slightly firmer rear movement. Graceful, with well-shaped head and expression, slight domed skull, moderate width, low set leathers framing her face. Good length to muzzle, coal black nose. Good length to strong neck, sitting well into shoulders, kept a good level topline, good tail carriage well set. Plenty depth to chest, good ribcage well sprung, tight elbows, well angulated hindquarters.

2 yr old tri dog, handsome hound, all male in appearance, stood proudly showing off his lovely balanced frame, which he held when on the move. Lovely masculine head piece and expression, well-shaped, moderate width to skull, low set leathers framing his face, strong muzzle, jet black nose. Firm supportive neck, set into well laid shoulders, sound front assembly, good level topline, strong loin, good tail carriage. Well-muscled and boned body, good depth to chest plenty spring to ribcage. Firm well developed defined hindquarters, stood well on strong legs and well knuckled feet. Moved efficiently with sound firm driving actions, and lovely front actions.

2nd Simkin: Simeldaka Sliema Madame

Nearly 2 yr old tri bitch, well-built feminine exhibit, unlucky to meet winner today. Endearing pretty head, soft but workmanlike expression, lovely shaped dark eyes of good shape. Well-shaped head, low set ears of good length hanging close to the side of her face. Good length to muzzle, and depth to stop. Lovely length to slightly arched clean neck, well defined lines to body, a firm topline leading to a correctly placed tail. Stood proudly showing off her well boned and muscled body, good front, depth to fore chest, tight elbows, lovely spring to ribs. Showed sound construction overall, which showed when on the move with her positive movement front and rear.

2 yr old blue specked bitch displayed a lovely feminine head. Well-developed muscled cheeks and muzzle to head. Black eye patches surrounding her oval dark eyes, some nice tan patches as well. Strong jaw, correct bite, coal black nose. Used her ears well, good width between. Firm medium length neck, good depth and ribbing to chest, well bodied and angulated throughout. Firm topline always carried her tail well. Moved soundly around the ring moving in harmony with her handler, just a touch close going away from me, looked good in profile standing and on the move. Moderate reach to neck well-muscled, leading to a good level topline. Well angulated front, deep chest to elbow, well ribbed. Plenty of substance and muscle to body throughout, firm well shaped hindquarters. Moved with purpose front and rear.

Charming 2 yr old red tri-coloured bitch, presented in a lovely condition, good sheen to her deep rich red coloured coat of good density and texture. Had a most delightful temperament, well balanced and not lacking in showmanship. Good overall body shape and breed type. Displayed a pleasing head, soft brown eyes set correctly, gentle feminine expression, good flat broad skull, used her ears well, good length to firm muzzle. Firm shape to neck leading to a sound topline, well covered and defined hindquarters. Good angulations to front and rear, nicely boned throughout. Plenty depth to chest, well sprung ribcage. Move in a free and easy sound driving motion around the ring.

Shapely angulated hindquarters used well displaying a very typical and positive steady action on the move. Lovely coat draping over her shapely body.

Well, boned throughout, good shapely hindquarters used to advantage when on the move motoring firmly around the ring. Flowed better when his owner took over from another handler. Eye catching headpiece. Well chiselled head and muzzle, black coloured muzzle, keen expression to his dark eyes, black rims, jet black nose. Good ear set always used, jet black nose. Head carried proudly on a shapely neckline of good length, leading into good angulate shoulders and upper arm. Lovely held topline, good tail set, tail carried well. Firm well angulated hindquarters moving true in both directions, side profile showing his well-presented coat of good length and colour. Pleased to award him BOB, pity he could not be shown in the Pastoral Group, but I totally understand as it was getting quite late on for some of the exhibitors to stay on for the Groups.

Lovely headed exhibit, good parallel plains to head, Displayed a lovely noble expression with bright dark expressive eyes, slight stop, muzzle of good length, coal black nose. Used his alert ears well. Good outline with excellent neck and shoulders, plenty depth to fore chest, and ribcage, pleasing front. Straight topline leading to a well-placed tail carried correctly. Good firm muscled body and shapely hindquarters. Stood square on profile, on the move displayed a lovely sound rear and front action showing off his well-presented coat. Pleased to award him BOB and like his kennel mate was not present in the Pastoral Group.

Well arched neck, good muscle tone to it and to the shoulders, lovely front assembly. Dead level topline well set on tail, good angulated quarters well off for bone throughout. Good length to neck in balance with his body, good angulations to shoulders, plenty of fore chest. Well-developed legs and feet, good bone throughout. A cracking 15-month-old bitch who looked a picture in profile and certainly not disappointed on the move and standing. Showed lots of confidence and had a delightful temperament really on her toes right to the end and had that lovely Sammie smile all the time. Respond well to her handler and did all that was asked of her. Well-presented coat in a lovely white glossy sheen and condition covering her shapely body well, good black pigmentation to nose, lips and eye rims. Most attractive head, bright almond shape dark brown eyes, good erect ears set on a wide broad flat skull. Good length to arched neck carrying her head proudly. Firm topline, displayed good balance and sound construction, well set and profusely coated tail carried correctly. On the move really moved freely with style, lovely drive to the rear. Has a quality and proportion of bone and substance throughout, good muscle tone for age. Level topline, lovely placed covered tail, good rear angulation without being overdone. Good width to flat skull between well placed erect ears. Well tapered muzzle large black nose. Firm white collared neck, set into good angulated shoulders, strong legs good feet, tight elbows, well sprung ribcage. Firm level topline always held well. Used her tail correctly. Well-muscled throughout good coverage to hindquarters used well when on the move using her hocks to really drive away and lovely front actions returning. Pleased to award her BOB close up for a Group placing.

Charming 2 yr old blue merle bitch, with the mixed coloured eyes which gave her an enchanting feminine foxy expression. Good head carriage showing a balance skull and foreface set off by her erect nicely placed ears. Coat in good order, well-presented lovely sheen and texture. Clean neckline, pleasing front, fore chest, legs and feet. Kept a lovely firm topline, good proportions to body, plenty depth to chest good ribbing. Shapely quarters, well set tail carriage. Moved well when viewed from all angles, but at times could have been a little bit tidier on her front movement on return.

Good placement of ears, flat skull, flat cheeks, well defined muzzle. Head carried well on a good reach of neck, kept a good level topline, pleasing construction to her front and rear, good angulations, which was used well when she flowed around the ring showing a lovely breed profile both standing and on the move. Lovely, mature body frame, good muscle tone which completed the picture.

Another handsome 7 yr old black and white male, in a beautiful full presented coat contouring his shapely sound body. Stood proudly showing a lovely breed type profile. Well-proportioned masculine head, good ear carriage and eye placement, plenty of head furnishings, strong muzzle of good length. Good use of neck, set into a good lay of shoulder, firm topline, lovely depth to chest and well sprung ribs. Tail carriage set correctly, well-muscled body, well define hindquarters, good bend to stifle. On the move really flowed around the ring, using his muscular hindquarters to show off his lovely drive.

Masculine wedge-shaped refined head, flat cheeks, good use of his small ears. Alert expression, bright dark eyes with black rims. Good length to muzzle, black nose. Used his neck well proudly showing his head off, well laid-back shoulders, well boned legs and body. Firm topline good sweep over loin well placed tail used correctly. Good angulation to front and rear and nicely muscled throughout. On the move flowed freely at a good steady pace with a good drive to the rear.    

2nd Ellis: Lounatuuli Aurora Lumonova (Finnish Lapphund) 

Pretty 10-month cream bitch, with lovely black pigmentation to nose, eye rims and lip gums. Bright dark oval shaped expressive eyes. A happy playful expression which displayed her mischievous character, very much on her toes and loved her time in the ring. A well moulded head and used her ears to advantage, good length to muzzle, correct bite. Strong neckline of medium length, flowing into good shoulders, straight forelegs, well arched feet. Good development to body, well ribbed ribcage of good depth. Straight topline leading to a high set curled tail. Muscular hindquarters used well when going around the ring, settled down on the stride once she got going.

2nd Colbourne-Baber: CH Danton Buttercup at Bourneways JW

Elegant 3 yr old red showgirl, who gracefully showed herself off,standing and moved well with verve and showed continually, did all her handler asked. Carried herself proudly and moved soundly with lovely hackney action front and rear. Appealing shapely feminine head, soft typical expression, dark bright eyes. Nice balance of muzzle to skull. Ample reach of arched neck into well placed shoulders, good straight front, good catlike feet. Good depth to chest tight elbows, firm topline, good placement of tail, well-muscled and defined hindquarters. Winner today just a touch more on his toes to win the class.

Two lovely exhibits, litter brother and sister. Litter brother won the day, handsome 15-month-old tan and white who had a lovely upright stance showing off his shapely profile both standing and on the move. All male head piece, expressive dark brown eyes, displaying a keen powerful expression, good shape to skull, well hung long leathers framing his face, good depth to stop, firm strong muzzle, correct bite. Clean outline to good length of neck, set well into well laid shoulders, correct front assembly, body set on well boned legs and well knuckled feet. Firm well-muscled body, and topline, tight elbows to chest. Coat in lovely condition and well presented. Good development to hindquarters, well defined and angulated with hocks well let down. Lovely set on tail and always carried correctly. On the move really drove out showing off his strong quarters, good front action on return. Please to award him BOB and I believe Reserve in the Hound Group.  

2nd Miller: Alkira Beau Golden Girl

A feminine version of her brother, has many of the same attributes, though just felt her sibling had slightly firmer rear movement to clinch the class. Attractive head and expression, lovely balanced shape, slight dome to skull, long well shaped leathers contouring her face, good depth to stop, soft dark eyes, good foreface, and length to firm muzzle, good lips. Well placed shoulders from a lovely length to slightly arched neck. Stood four square with a lovely balance and substance to a well angulated body. Tail set correctly carried well on the move. On the move moved true in both directions showing an easy and sound action.

A well-built 2 yr old tan and white bitch, displayed a lovely, graceful silhouette on the stand, stood over the ground well. Feminine, but with substance, showing good bone throughout. Pleasing type with an attractive head and expression. Lovely dark keen eyes and low set ear placements of good length framing her face. Slight dome to skull of moderate width, good stop, firm muzzle. Good reach to neck set onto well laid shoulders, excellent fore chest and front. Well-proportioned body, good depth to chest, steady topline, always carried her tail in the correct position. A good, constructed sound moving exhibit, who really stepped out showing her positive movement. Pleased to award her RBOB    

2nd Brownlow: Rushwater Violet Sky

Well-presented 3 yr old tri bitch, lovely coat condition in good bloom covering a sound body with good muscle tone. Overall body proportions made for a good profile, giving a good picture standing. Displayed a confident attitude, which showed in her movement with her easy strides, would have liked a slightly firmer rear movement. Graceful, with well-shaped head and expression, slight domed skull, moderate width, low set leathers framing her face. Good length to muzzle, coal black nose. Good length to strong neck, sitting well into shoulders, kept a good level topline, good tail carriage well set. Plenty depth to chest, good ribcage well sprung, tight elbows, well angulated hindquarters.

Firm supportive neck, set into well laid shoulders, sound front assembly, good level topline, strong loin, good tail carriage. Moved efficiently with sound firm driving actions, and lovely front actions.

Nearly 2 yr old tri bitch, well-built feminine exhibit, unlucky to meet winner today. Endearing pretty head, soft but workmanlike expression, lovely shaped dark eyes of good shape. Well-shaped head, low set ears of good length hanging close to the side of her face. Good length to muzzle, and depth to stop. Lovely length to slightly arched clean neck, well defined lines to body, a firm topline leading to a correctly placed tail. Stood proudly showing off her well boned and muscled body, good front, depth to fore chest, tight elbows, lovely spring to ribs. Showed sound construction overall, which showed when on the move with her positive movement front and rear.

Attractive 6 yr old fawn and white bitch, had the most pleasing head, soft typical expression and eyes with head furnishings. Good broad flat skull, well hung leathers, strong muzzle. Well-made front, good lay of shoulders, well boned throughout, lovely depth to chest, well ribbed, good length to neck leading into a firm level topline, good loin and tail set. Shapely angulated hindquarters used well displaying a very typical and positive steady action on the move. Lovely coat draping over her shapely body.

Well, boned throughout, good shapely hindquarters used to advantage when on the move motoring firmly around the ring. Flowed better when his owner took over from another handler. Good ear set always used, jet black nose. Head carried proudly on a shapely neckline of good length, leading into good angulate shoulders and upper arm. Lovely held topline, good tail set, tail carried well. Firm well angulated hindquarters moving true in both directions, side profile showing his well-presented coat of good length and colour. Pleased to award him BOB, pity he could not be shown in the Pastoral Group, but I totally understand as it was getting quite late on for some of the exhibitors to stay on for the Groups.

Used his alert ears well. Good outline with excellent neck and shoulders, plenty depth to fore chest, and ribcage, pleasing front. Straight topline leading to a well-placed tail carried correctly. Good firm muscled body and shapely hindquarters. Stood square on profile, on the move displayed a lovely sound rear and front action showing off his well-presented coat. Pleased to award him BOB and like his kennel mate was not present in the Pastoral Group.

Well-presented coat in a lovely white glossy sheen and condition covering her shapely body well, good black pigmentation to nose, lips and eye rims. Most attractive head, bright almond shape dark brown eyes, good erect ears set on a wide broad flat skull. Good length to arched neck carrying her head proudly. Clean neckline, pleasing front, fore chest, legs and feet. Kept a lovely firm topline, good proportions to body, plenty depth to chest good ribbing. Shapely quarters, well set tail carriage. Moved well when viewed from all angles, but at times could have been a little bit tidier on her front movement on return.

Good angulation to front and rear and nicely muscled throughout. On the move flowed freely at a good steady pace with a good drive to the rear.

Good development to body, well ribbed ribcage of good depth. Straight topline leading to a high set curled tail. Always showed a clean-cut outline standing, covered in a glossy sheen to his black coat, showing off his rich tan markings in the right places. Manly headpiece, good strong expression, shapely dark eyes, good erect ears used well, flat skull, good foreface, strong muzzle jet black nose. Graceful slight arch to neck leading to a firm topline and a well-constructed body, lovely depth to chest and ribcage. Well-muscled boy and hindquarters showing off with his well-defined hindquarters. Moved with purpose going around the ring, lovely hackney action. Pleased to award him RBOB.    

2nd Colbourne-Baber: CH Danton Buttercup at Bourneways JW

Elegant 3 yr old red showgirl, who gracefully showed herself off,standing and moved well with verve and showed continually, did all her handler asked. Carried herself proudly and moved soundly with lovely hackney action front and rear. Appealing shapely feminine head, soft typical expression, dark bright eyes. Nice balance of muzzle to skull. Ample reach of arched neck into well placed shoulders, good straight front, good catlike feet. Good depth to chest tight elbows, firm topline, good placement of tail, well-muscled and defined hindquarters. Winner today just a touch more on his toes to win the class.

1st Miller: Alkira Beau Showtime

Two lovely exhibits, litter brother and sister. Litter brother won the day, handsome 15-month-old tan and white who had a lovely upright stance showing off his shapely profile both standing and on the move. All male head piece, expressive dark brown eyes, displaying a keen powerful expression, good shape to skull, well hung long leathers framing his face, good depth to stop, firm strong muzzle, correct bite. Clean outline to good length of neck, set well into well laid shoulders, correct front assembly, body set on well boned legs and well knuckled feet. Firm well-muscled body, and topline, tight elbows to chest. Coat in lovely condition and well presented. Good development to hindquarters, well defined and angulated with hocks well let down. Lovely set on tail and always carried correctly. On the move really drove out showing off his strong quarters, good front action on return. Please to award him BOB and I believe Reserve in the Hound Group.  

2nd Miller: Alkira Beau Golden Girl

A feminine version of her brother, has many of the same attributes, though just felt her sibling had slightly firmer rear movement to clinch the class. Attractive head and expression, lovely balanced shape, slight dome to skull, long well shaped leathers contouring her face, good depth to stop, soft dark eyes, good foreface, and length to firm muzzle, good lips. Well placed shoulders from a lovely length to slightly arched neck. Stood four square with a lovely balance and substance to a well angulated body. Tail set correctly carried well on the move. On the move moved true in both directions showing an easy and sound action.

A well-built 2 yr old tan and white bitch, displayed a lovely, graceful silhouette on the stand, stood over the ground well. Feminine, but with substance, showing good bone throughout. Pleasing type with an attractive head and expression. Lovely dark keen eyes and low set ear placements of good length framing her face. Slight dome to skull of moderate width, good stop, firm muzzle. Good reach to neck set onto well laid shoulders, excellent fore chest and front. Well-proportioned body, good depth to chest, steady topline, always carried her tail in the correct position. A good, constructed sound moving exhibit, who really stepped out showing her positive movement. Pleased to award her RBOB    

2nd Brownlow: Rushwater Violet Sky

Well-presented 3 yr old tri bitch, lovely coat condition in good bloom covering a sound body with good muscle tone. Overall body proportions made for a good profile, giving a good picture standing. Displayed a confident attitude, which showed in her movement with her easy strides, would have liked a slightly firmer rear movement. Graceful, with well-shaped head and expression, slight domed skull, moderate width, low set leathers framing her face. Good length to muzzle, coal black nose. Good length to strong neck, sitting well into shoulders, kept a good level topline, good tail carriage well set. Plenty depth to chest, good ribcage well sprung, tight elbows, well angulated hindquarters.

2 yr old tri dog, handsome hound, all male in appearance, stood proudly showing off his lovely balanced frame, which he held when on the move. Lovely masculine head piece and expression, well-shaped, moderate width to skull, low set leathers framing his face, strong muzzle, jet black nose. Firm supportive neck, set into well laid shoulders, sound front assembly, good level topline, strong loin, good tail carriage. Well-muscled and boned body, good depth to chest plenty spring to ribcage. Firm well developed defined hindquarters, stood well on strong legs and well knuckled feet. Moved efficiently with sound firm driving actions, and lovely front actions.

2nd Simkin: Simeldaka Sliema Madame

Nearly 2 yr old tri bitch, well-built feminine exhibit, unlucky to meet winner today. Endearing pretty head, soft but workmanlike expression, lovely shaped dark eyes of good shape. Well-shaped head, low set ears of good length hanging close to the side of her face. Good length to muzzle, and depth to stop. Lovely length to slightly arched clean neck, well defined lines to body, a firm topline leading to a correctly placed tail. Stood proudly showing off her well boned and muscled body, good front, depth to fore chest, tight elbows, lovely spring to ribs. Showed sound construction overall, which showed when on the move with her positive movement front and rear.

2 yr old blue specked bitch displayed a lovely feminine head. Well-developed muscled cheeks and muzzle to head. Black eye patches surrounding her oval dark eyes, some nice tan patches as well. Strong jaw, correct bite, coal black nose. Used her ears well, good width between. Firm medium length neck, good depth and ribbing to chest, well bodied and angulated throughout. Firm topline always carried her tail well. Moved soundly around the ring moving in harmony with her handler, just a touch close going away from me, looked good in profile standing and on the move. Pleased to award her BOB

Good development to body for age, firm neck carrying her head proudly, showing off a lovely body profile standing and on the move. Well-built body always held a good topline, neck sitting well into her shoulders, plenty depth to chest, well ribbed ribcage. Good firm hindquarters used to propel her on the move displaying good drive to the rear, covered the ground well, and showed lovely smooth side movement. Well-presented conditioned coat. Two yr old Black tri coloured bitch who displayed a good overall balanced conformation. Well, coated showing off her glossy black body coat of good length. Lovely clear facial markings, well set brown eyes, showing off an intelligent feminine expression. Good shape and portions to head, always used her ears, flat broad skull, good length to muzzle. Moderate reach to neck well-muscled, leading to a good level topline. Well angulated front, deep chest to elbow, well ribbed. Plenty of substance and muscle to body throughout, firm well shaped hindquarters. Moved with purpose front and rear.    

2nd Bassett: Starlink Beat Goes On

Charming 2 yr old red tri-coloured bitch, presented in a lovely condition, good sheen to her deep rich red coloured coat of good density and texture. Had a most delightful temperament, well balanced and not lacking in showmanship. Good overall body shape and breed type. Displayed a pleasing head, soft brown eyes set correctly, gentle feminine expression, good flat broad skull, used her ears well, good length to firm muzzle. Firm shape to neck leading to a sound topline, well covered and defined hindquarters. Good angulations to front and rear, nicely boned throughout. Plenty depth to chest, well sprung ribcage. Move in a free and easy sound driving motion around the ring.

Good length to neck, firm topline, strong loin, and shapely hindquarters. Plenty depth to chest and ribcage, well-muscled and boned. Moved exceptionally well with reach and drive covering the ground well.

Attractive 6 yr old fawn and white bitch, had the most pleasing head, soft typical expression and eyes with head furnishings. Good broad flat skull, well hung leathers, strong muzzle. Well-made front, good lay of shoulders, well boned throughout, lovely depth to chest, well ribbed, good length to neck leading into a firm level topline, good loin and tail set. Shapely angulated hindquarters used well displaying a very typical and positive steady action on the move. Lovely coat draping over her shapely body.

Handsome 2 yr old reddish fawn male, upstanding in appearance showing of a proudly held head. In his side profile showed of a lovely square shape, well-muscled and toned throughout. Slight arch to neck leading into good shoulder placements, level topline, ribs well covered and of good depth. Well, boned throughout, good shapely hindquarters used to advantage when on the move motoring firmly around the ring. Flowed better when his owner took over from another handler. Eye catching headpiece. Well chiselled head and muzzle, black coloured muzzle, keen expression to his dark eyes, black rims, jet black nose. Impressive 3 yr old fawn black masked male, very much on his toes always showing off. Well moulded chiselled quality head, darkest of eyes giving a lovely masculine expression. Good ear set always used, jet black nose. Head carried proudly on a shapely neckline of good length, leading into good angulate shoulders and upper arm. Lovely held topline, good tail set, tail carried well. Firm well angulated hindquarters moving true in both directions, side profile showing his well-presented coat of good length and colour. Pleased to award him BOB, pity he could not be shown in the Pastoral Group, but I totally understand as it was getting quite late on for some of the exhibitors to stay on for the Groups.

Lovely headed exhibit, good parallel plains to head, Displayed a lovely noble expression with bright dark expressive eyes, slight stop, muzzle of good length, coal black nose. Used his alert ears well. Good outline with excellent neck and shoulders, plenty depth to fore chest, and ribcage, pleasing front. Straight topline leading to a well-placed tail carried correctly. Good firm muscled body and shapely hindquarters. Stood square on profile, on the move displayed a lovely sound rear and front action showing off his well-presented coat. Pleased to award him BOB and like his kennel mate was not present in the Pastoral Group.

Showed lots of confidence and had a delightful temperament really on her toes right to the end and had that lovely Sammie smile all the time. Respond well to her handler and did all that was asked of her. Well-presented coat in a lovely white glossy sheen and condition covering her shapely body well, good black pigmentation to nose, lips and eye rims. Most attractive head, bright almond shape dark brown eyes, good erect ears set on a wide broad flat skull. Good length to arched neck carrying her head proudly. Firm topline, displayed good balance and sound construction, well set and profusely coated tail carried correctly. On the move really moved freely with style, lovely drive to the rear. Has a quality and proportion of bone and substance throughout, good muscle tone for age. Level topline, lovely placed covered tail, good rear angulation without being overdone. Good width to flat skull between well placed erect ears. Well tapered muzzle large black nose. Firm white collared neck, set into good angulated shoulders, strong legs good feet, tight elbows, well sprung ribcage. Firm level topline always held well. Used her tail correctly. Well-muscled throughout good coverage to hindquarters used well when on the move using her hocks to really drive away and lovely front actions returning. Pleased to award her BOB close up for a Group placing.      

2nd Young: Gowerston Genesis

Charming 2 yr old blue merle bitch, with the mixed coloured eyes which gave her an enchanting feminine foxy expression. Good head carriage showing a balance skull and foreface set off by her erect nicely placed ears. Coat in good order, well-presented lovely sheen and texture. Clean neckline, pleasing front, fore chest, legs and feet. Kept a lovely firm topline, good proportions to body, plenty depth to chest good ribbing. Shapely quarters, well set tail carriage. Moved well when viewed from all angles, but at times could have been a little bit tidier on her front movement on return.

Handsome 7-month-old lilac merle and white male attending his first show. Enjoyed always showing himself off. Pleasing head type, well-shaped oval bright blue eyes, mischievous expression. Fairly broad width to skull, good use of high set ears. Good stop and length to tapered muzzle, correct bite, self-coloured nostril. Ample reach of slightly arched neck into sloping shoulders, good front assembly, good legs and feet. Well-developed shapely body and ribcage for age, nicely muscled. Kept a good level topline, carried his tail well, defined angulated hindquarters, which he used showing a sound motion and drive going around the ring.

Lovely sheen to his profuse black coat, covering his shapely body, white mane collar. Handsome head, good facial markings, good rich tan markings, small well-set ears always used. Flat skull, well-shaped almond dark eyes, good depth to stop, correct length to blunt muzzle, correct bite, coal black nose. Head carried proudly, well angulated front and in the rear, lovely depth to fore chest and chest. Well-muscled throughout, good spring to ribs, kept a firm topline, tail correctly set low. On the move displayed a sound easy effortless stride showing himself off.

Lovely 18-month-old sable and white male a keen showman, who was well made with absolutely nothing to hide. An honest, happy character, who showed himself to advantage all the time. Sturdy, typy with a well-balanced contour. Well, presented coat, in lovely condition and texture. Elegant manly headpiece, masculine expression, soft dark expressive eyes, well set ears of good shape, good depth to stop, flat cheeks, good length to blunt muzzle, black nose, correct bite. Lovely length to neck leading into well laid shoulders, sound front, firm level topline, with correct bone and well-muscled throughout. Plenty depth to chest, good coverage to well-shaped hindquarters, good tail set. Moved true in both directions, with drive and style, responding well to his handler.

Attractive 7 yr old blue merle bitch, shown in a beautifully full coat, in lovely condition and of good length, white collar. Displayed a lovely kind natured temperament was eager to always show herself off. Soft feminine refined head and expression, lovely dark almond shaped eyes, well set. Good placement of ears, flat skull, flat cheeks, well defined muzzle. Head carried well on a good reach of neck, kept a good level topline, pleasing construction to her front and rear, good angulations, which was used well when she flowed around the ring showing a lovely breed profile both standing and on the move. Lovely, mature body frame, good muscle tone which completed the picture.  

2nd Bowden: Subessen Heart of Rome (Re-Imp) (Bearded Collie)

Another handsome 7 yr old black and white male, in a beautiful full presented coat contouring his shapely sound body. Stood proudly showing a lovely breed type profile. Well-proportioned masculine head, good ear carriage and eye placement, plenty of head furnishings, strong muzzle of good length. Good use of neck, set into a good lay of shoulder, firm topline, lovely depth to chest and well sprung ribs. Tail carriage set correctly, well-muscled body, well define hindquarters, good bend to stifle. On the move really flowed around the ring, using his muscular hindquarters to show off his lovely drive.

1st Clough: Evad Lite Breeze (Shetland Sheepdog)

Well, presented 5 yr old sable and white male, who was shown well by his handler, who got the best out of him, to portray himself well standing and on the move. Masculine wedge-shaped refined head, flat cheeks, good use of his small ears. Alert expression, bright dark eyes with black rims. Good length to muzzle, black nose. Used his neck well proudly showing his head off, well laid-back shoulders, well boned legs and body. Firm topline good sweep over loin well placed tail used correctly. Good angulation to front and rear and nicely muscled throughout. On the move flowed freely at a good steady pace with a good drive to the rear.    

2nd Ellis: Lounatuuli Aurora Lumonova (Finnish Lapphund) 

Pretty 10-month cream bitch, with lovely black pigmentation to nose, eye rims and lip gums. Bright dark oval shaped expressive eyes. A happy playful expression which displayed her mischievous character, very much on her toes and loved her time in the ring. A well moulded head and used her ears to advantage, good length to muzzle, correct bite. Strong neckline of medium length, flowing into good shoulders, straight forelegs, well arched feet. Good development to body, well ribbed ribcage of good depth. Straight topline leading to a high set curled tail. Muscular hindquarters used well when going around the ring, settled down on the stride once she got going.

Graceful neckline, white collar, neck leading into good angulated shoulders, firm legs, good feet. Lovely compact firm developed body, plenty depth to chest tight elbows, good ribbing, lovely topline, gentle rise to loin, well-muscled hindquarters for age, carried tail well on the move. Moved soundly with good drive to rear covering the ground well, lovely side profile on the move.

A real sweetie, 9-month-old sable and white bitch who portrayed a graceful outline when shown. In beautiful condition, good wealth of coat for age, attractive size and balance. Well-constructed youngster, typically sound and muscled throughout. Soft feminine head and gentle expression, lovely shape to her dark almond shaped eyes, good, wedged head shape, small ears set well and used, pleasing length to muzzle, correct bite, coal black nose. True front, lovely clean neck, leading to a level topline, nice sweep over loin, tail placed correctly. Well-developed body, angulation in correct proportions. On the move, moved with good straight action and flowing smooth movement.

Firm reach and slightly arched neck, leading to a spirit level topline, well set tail carriage, tail carried correctly. Well-muscled and boned throughout, good straight front legs good cat like feet. Well defined hindquarters, stood fore square with well let down hocks, standing parallel from behind. On the move displayed good strong hackney movement. Pleased to award him BOB

Manly headpiece, good strong expression, shapely dark eyes, good erect ears used well, flat skull, good foreface, strong muzzle jet black nose. Graceful slight arch to neck leading to a firm topline and a well-constructed body, lovely depth to chest and ribcage. Well-muscled boy and hindquarters showing off with his well-defined hindquarters. Moved with purpose going around the ring, lovely hackney action. Pleased to award him RBOB.    

2nd Colbourne-Baber: CH Danton Buttercup at Bourneways JW

Elegant 3 yr old red showgirl, who gracefully showed herself off,standing and moved well with verve and showed continually, did all her handler asked. Carried herself proudly and moved soundly with lovely hackney action front and rear. Appealing shapely feminine head, soft typical expression, dark bright eyes. Nice balance of muzzle to skull. Ample reach of arched neck into well placed shoulders, good straight front, good catlike feet. Good depth to chest tight elbows, firm topline, good placement of tail, well-muscled and defined hindquarters. Winner today just a touch more on his toes to win the class.
