WHIPPETS

PG (1,1a). O (2) 1 & BOB Williams’ Eryri Sweetie Pie. A pleasure to judge this beautifully made girl, she stands over a lot of ground naturally and brings herself to an accurate foresquare stand, correct bladed bone and flat muscle, well muscled rear with good bend of stifle, strong hocks and low set tail, topped with a quality long and lean head with a sweet expression, powered round the small ring with such extension and drive. She went onto win the group and BIS. 2 Owen’s Crosscop Just A Friend. Very attractive two and half year old bitch of a very nice size and type and with attractive markings, super clean and well muscled with well cared for nails, strong pasterns, good depth of chest, firm topline with slight curve over the loin.

JHA 6-11 years. 1 Gracie Ephraim handling a Border Collie. Gracie did a very nice job of handling her dog in this class, she has a quiet and understated manner and she knew how to make sure her dog was using his ears in the stand by getting his attention, she moved the dog at the correct speed and carried out the triangle and up and down accurately and nailed her final presentation in front of my feet, with great distance and side on. Presented nicely in a smart black skirt suit. Well done and keep working hard.

12-16 years. 1 Leila Redmayne handling a French Bulldog. Leila clearly does a lot of work with her dog at home because they had such a lovely rapport together, the dog was always looking up at her making sure they were doing it right. Leila has a very gentle and kind manner and showed the correct undershot bite in a very gentle way. She encouraged her dog all the way around the ring and always keeping an eye on her dog’s pace. Lots more to practice in years to come but a great effort – well done.

Adult handling 46-59 years (2,1a) 1 Erica Jones handling a Long Coated Chihuahua. Erica and her dog were having the time of their life in the ring together, her dog was constantly happy and enthusiastic because Erica was giving him loads of encouragement. Well done for not breaking the golden rule of moving between yourself and me. Just a little more control required on the tablework, and keep one hand on the lead when you are moving the dog.

60 years plus (1a).

AV P (7, 4a) – 1 Thomas’ Crincoed Higher Love. Cocker Spaniel. And what a little love she was, the most delightful character with such a stunning head, low set long ears that were well-furnished and framing the face, great neck length, strong forelegs, super strong topline for a baby and well angulated rear quarters, moved freely and accurately around the ring with that typical bustling stride. 2 Clune’s Barking Mad Domenica’s Dals (Imp CZE), Dalmatian. Very nice and well-built balanced liver dog with good spotting all over, including the tail, just a few distracting secondary spots, he has an excellent broad head with good length of muzzle, great spring of rib, strong in the loin, good width to his back end and standing strong with strong hocks, tail set correctly and not carried too high, just needs to get his act together and he could trouble the best. 3 Roberts' Curlyco Cosmic Girl (Imp Fin), Irish Water Spaniel.
