Retford Canine Society

Thankyou to the commitee of Retford CS for inviting me to judge their Premier Open Show on the 15th March 26

Entries were good numerically , thankyou to all who entered. Not too many were presented and i thank those who turned up. This didn't take away from the quality I had today! 

PUPPY

1st SHERNAA YANKEE(Jackpot vom Glockenbrink x Shernaa Akita) 7.5 months old black and gold Male. Very impressive puppy of very good type. He is Upper medium size , masculine with lovely bone and a quality coat. Beautiful expression with dark eye. His left ear leans in slightly.

High wither , straight back into a croup that is of good length but slightly steep.

He has an excellent forehand assembly, correct height to length proportions and very good hindquarters. He is correct coming and could be firmer behind, but still very much a baby. He shows very good fore reach and powerful hind drive, holding his lines on the walk and the gait. A very promising puppy who i will watch out for in the future.

I was pleased to award him Best puppy and Best of Breed.

2nd CHARBONNAL RULA(Reno de la Petite Laeticia x Charbonnal Laila) 11 month old female.

She is medium size, richly coloured and very feminine, with dark eyes and correct ear carriage. A very firm and dry female. Good reach of neck, normal withers, straight back into a croup of very good length and lay giving a clean topline. She has good layback of shoulder, well angled upper arm which could be longer. She is slightly streched in proportions and has excellent hindquarters. She is correct coming towards and a little close behind with straight rear pasterns. Elbows are firm and she shows a free far reaching gait with very good hind drive. Another very very nice youngster

JUNIOR 

1st SHERNAA SMARTY (Sardis von Ghattas x Shernaa Snap) 9 Months old female.

Medium size , very well pigmented female with a quality coat. She has a lovely dark mask with dark eye, correct ear carriage and has a very feminine head and expression. Normal wither, straight back into a croup that is correctly angled but could be longer. She has a good lay of shoulder and upper arm is of good length and angle,. Slightly stretched in proportions has excellent hind quarters and is sound coming towards and away, with lovely short rear pasterns. She moved very well with good reach and drive. A very lively girl today and another super puppy

POST GRADUATE 

1st KYMRIGKITA JAEGERIN (Ir/Nld/Bel/Int Ch Clynalwin's Nukon x Kymrigkita Djana)

20 months black and gold female of very good type. She has a feminine head, dark eye and correct ear carriage. Good reach of neck, normal wither, straight back into a correctly angled croup that could be longer. Her shoulder is well laid and the upper arm is of very good length but could be better angled. She has very good proportions and very good hindquarters. When moving she shows good fore reach but she should drive a little more from the rear. Her tail curls which detracts a little from her overall appearance but a lovely female nevertheless. 

2nd DARKVALLEY GALLOGOTH ( A Beliarr von Skorpionblut x Chilli Kolebka Wadery) 

2 years old, black longcoat female of very good type. Topsize, firm and dry and well muscled. She has a strong but feminine head with lovely dark eyes. Good reach of neck, normal withers , slight raise in the back into a croup of good length but is slight steep. She has excellent front assembly, very good length to height proportions with excellent hind quarters. 

She is sound coming towards and going with straight rear pasterns. When she first entered the ring I thought she would be my winner but she was a little unsettled today pulling and dropped on the wither but very well handled by her Junior handler. A really nice female Congratulations

1st PORTNALL ELRICK ZU SAROCAL (Ch Conbhairean Freddie x Hazroh Savannah at Portnall) 10 years old Sable male shown in super condition for his age. He is topsize, masculine, has dark eye and a lovely expression. Good reach of neck , high wither, correct straight back into a long croup that is slightly steep. He has excellent front assembly with correct length and lay of the upper arm, very good proportions and excellent hind angles. He is sound both coming towards and going away with firm elbows and straight rear pasterns, holding his lines at all speeds with a far reaching gait. He has good power from the hindquarters but he could drive slightly more from the rear on the left leg but giving his age its a minor thing.

My Reserve Best of Breed and a very correct male, another handled by a brilliant junior handler Congratulations 

2nd SWNYNANT ICON JW (Int/Multi Ch Clynalwin's Nukon x Swnynant Forever Yours) 2 years Black and gold male. Very nice type of male , richly coloured but paling black, shown out of coat today.

He is topsize, has a strong masculine head, with dark eyes with a very good expression. He has good neck length, high withers, into a straight back and a croup of very good length and lay. He has a slight dip behind the wither. Excellent forehand assembly, excellent proportions and excellent hindquarters. 

He is sound coming with firm elbows and sound away with straight rear pasterns.

His movement is far reaching with very good hind drive holding his topline at all speeds. Another lovely young male who pushed the first . Congratulations
