Golden Retrievers

Puppy Dog – 0

Junior Dog 1 Goddard’s Jorby Eternal Flame at Glansevern , Balanced young man with appealing head, well set ears, dark eyes and correct pigmentation. Clean neck and adequate angles fore and aft. Still loose on the move as you’d expect at this age but in good coat and condition. Not concentrating on the job in hand today.

Post Grad Dog (3,2abs) 1 Liggins & Hodges Swanalvy Popsy’s Legacy at Nunsbrook (Imp SRB), 3 yrs old with masculine head and dark brown eyes. Neck of good length, well laid shoulders and strong fore chest. Balanced and short coupled, he moved a bit proud of his tail today.

Open Dog – 2abs

Puppy Bitch (2,1abs) 1 Strettonhills Quevega, Beautiful puppy of 9 mths with pretty head, well set ears and dark brown eyes. Muscular neck into well laid shoulders, pleasing fore chest and depth of body. Strong loin and level topline, quality bone, well turned stifles and tight feet. Everything is there she just needs time. (BP)

Junior Bitch – 0

Post Grad Bitch (3, 1 Abs) Plevin’s Brynbachlove Smiler for Bowshella, 21 mths old with feminine head and dark eyes. Well put together all through and balanced with level topline and strong loin. Short hocks and well turned stifles she moved OK. BOB 2 Newton’s Penny Yellow for Ralyville. 3 yrs old with dark eye and soft expression. Clean through neck and with a level topline she was carrying too much weight which affected her movement. A happy girl her tail never stopped wagging.

Post Grad Dog - 2 Abs

Open Dog – (2,1) 1 Conen’s Lynwood Merry May King Shushaha, 7 yrs old with an appealing head and dark eyes giving a kind intelligent expression. Muscular neck into well laid shoulders. Deep chested with prominent fore chest, correct topline and muscular loin he was in good coat and condition, his tail never stopped wagging.

Junior Bitch – 1 Abs

Post Grad Bitch 1 Williams Alolfrana Isadora Dances for Lavansands, 2 yrs old with feminine head and dark eyes of the correct shape and colour. Muscular neck of moderate length and good depth of chest and strong fore chest. Correct topline and strong loin she was in good coat and condition and moved OK.

Open Bitch 1 Hughes Alolfrana Queen of Hearts at Bryntwrn, 4 yrs old with typical head and eye of the correct shape and colour giving a kind, intelligent expression. Moderate length of neck and well made front with prominent fore chest and plenty of depth. Strong topline and loin, her movement was free flowing and driving from the rear which was the deciding factor for BOB.

Gordon Setters

Post Grad 1 Smethurst & Hayhurst’s Hernwood Bleu Jelly Baby 2 yr old dog with pleasing head and good length of neck. Everything is there it still needs time to come together! Really was determined to enjoy himself today I hope his owners continue to persevere.

Open 1 Parker Smith & Tuer’s Lignum Money Talks at Bratticus, 5 Yr old dog with typical head and keen intelligent expression. I would prefer more length of neck but he has a deep brisket and well sprung ribs, was in decent coat and his movement was steady and true BOB.
