Puppy (3,1)

1st, Greenwood’s PETMON BLACK RUSSIAN. 9-month-old Scottish Terrier of good type, with a nice long head and correct mouth. Firm, level topline with strong, well-made hindquarters. Moved with a smooth, free action in profile, showing good drive from the rear. Front needs to tighten with maturity. Good harsh coat for his age and showed throughout with typical keen, alert terrier character. BPIB & Puppy Group 4

2nd Nind’s GRENETREST OH WHAT FUN. 8-month-old Bedlington Terrier with a pleasing, feminine head and good mouth. Decent length of neck flowing into well-laid shoulders. Held her topline well when standing, although tended to lose this somewhat on the move. Lovely character, showing confidently with a typical temperament and displaying the characteristic light, springy movement of the breed.

1st Drake’s TRAVELLA STRIDE OUT. 12-month-old Fox Terrier (Wire) with a keen expression and well-balanced head, with strong, teeth. Shoulders long and sloping, giving a clean outline through the neck and forequarters. Hocks well let down and coat dense, tight and of good harsh texture. Tail well set and carried on the stand. Moved straight and true both coming and going. Full of character, presenting a lively and alert terrier attitude throughout.

1st Nind’s DEVLEIGH TRUE BLUE. 2-year-old Bedlington Terrier with a pleasing, characteristic head, showing good length. Good front with straight forelegs and a pleasing overall outline. Coat of good texture. Moved soundly with the characteristic light, springy action of the breed. Well presented and handled, showing herself to advantage throughout.

2nd Mercer’s ARCHETYPE DENARIUS. 5-year-old male presented in hard muscular condition, a lovely happy boy full of character. Pleasing head, long, strong and deep throughout, with the characteristic egg-shaped appearance and gently curving profile. Strong, straight front with good substance. Moved well, covering the ground smoothly with a free, easy action. Wasn’t always the most co-operative, but his handler dealt with him extremely well, allowing him to show his qualities. A lively, confident male with plenty of character.

1st O’Rouke’s KEBULAK SILVER DOLLAR. 2-year-old Kerry Blue Terrier male presented in top-class condition, full of energy and displaying typical keen Kerry character, certainly making his handler work throughout. Pleasing, well-proportioned head with small, neat ears which he used well to enhance his expression. Lovely soft coat of good texture and presented immaculately. Good tail set and carriage. Moved true fore and aft, with lovely reach and extension in profile, covering the ground well. A lively, upstanding male with plenty of breed character. BOB & Group 1

2nd Foster’s LORELEILEE ME BASHFUL AT THOZOW. 3-year-old Lakeland Terrier presented in excellent coat and condition, beautifully prepared with a dense, harsh and crisp jacket. Pleasing forequarters with good layback of shoulder and a nice mouth. Well-developed hindquarters with good turn of stifle and pleasing width behind. Moved with lovely reach and extension in profile, covering the ground freely and with purpose. RBOB & RBOB Group 1.

1st Hale’s AWBROOKSKY RIDING SHOT TO HOATHWOOD. 9-month-old lovely youngster, still very raw and needing time to body up and mature. Pleasing head with keen, dark eyes and good teeth. Easily spannable, with a good topline which was maintained well on the move. Good small feet and well-constructed hindquarters. Front needs to tighten at present, but should improve with maturity. A promising youngster with plenty of time on her side.

Junior (2,0)

1st Goddard’s AWBROOKSKY SUPERSONIC. 11-month-old youngster creating a lovely, balanced picture on the stand. Pleasing head developing nicely, with neat ears and good teeth. Good layback of shoulder leading on well boned straight legs. Easily spannable. Lovely, well-constructed rear with hocks well let down. Good tail, well set and carried. Moved well in all directions, sound and purposeful both fore and aft and showing a pleasing action in profile. A very pleasing youngster with plenty of breed type who should continue to improve with maturity. BPIB & Puppy Group 2

2nd McAuliffe’s OTTERWOOD OSPREY. 17-month-old with a decent, typical head and good teeth. Straight forelegs with good bone. Good width through the rear with hocks well let down. Pleasing tail of correct shape and well carried. Presented in adequate coat.

1st Goddards GRACEZHEIM INSPIRED BY AWBROOKSKY. 15-month-old with a lovely, typical head and good expression. Good length of neck flowing into well-laid-back shoulders and a pleasing, straight well-boned front. Easily spannable. Well-constructed hindquarters with good width, which she used effectively on the move. Nice tail, well set and carried. Well presented in a coat of good texture. Moved well from all angles, true fore and aft with a pleasing, purposeful action in profile. A well-balanced young Border Terrier with plenty of breed type. BOB & Group 2

2nd Cramphorn’s ARUNMERE THUNDERBOLT. 17-month-old presenting a balanced, square outline, with good spring of rib, although I would prefer a little more angulation both fore and aft. Good mouth and a pleasing tail, well set and carried. Coat with plenty of undercoat and good texture. Moved with purpose, covering the ground well.

1st Goddard’s GRACEZHEIM BOUNCE BACK TO AWBROOKSKY. 15-month-old with good layback of shoulder leading into a well-boned, straight front. Presented in good coat with pleasing texture. Good tail, well set and carried. Nicely constructed hindquarters with hocks well let down. Moved with good reach and extension in profile, covering the ground with purpose. Showed and handled well throughout, presenting a pleasing overall picture. RBOB

1st WITMOND’s TILTSER CHARTREUSE. 11-month-old youngster of lovely overall type and excellent proportions, presenting a balanced picture. Pleasing head with good teeth, using his ears well to give a keen, alert expression. Good straight front legs and well-constructed hindquarters with a decent bend of stifle. Good length of loin. Moved soundly and with purpose. Tail well set and used to advantage. A very showy youngster, full of confidence and displaying the bold, fearless and lively temperament typical of the breed. BOB, BPIB, Group 3 & Puppy Group 1.

1st Woods & Boorman’s VIXENVIEW BLIZZARD. Just 6 months old and very much a baby, but a promising puppy of good overall proportions. Head still developing, as expected at this age. Well-laid shoulders and easily spannable, with pleasing construction through the hindquarters. Front needs to tighten with maturity. A well-proportioned youngster with plenty of time on his side who should continue to develop and improve as he matures. BPIB

1st Wood & Boorman’s WAYWARD GOT YOU. 12-month-old lovely young dog who really appealed to me. Neat ears and good teeth. Easily spannable, with a well-constructed front and rear. Moved true fore and aft and, when settled and concentrating, showed a good, free side gait. Unfortunately, lost some concentration in the challenge, but still young and should improve with maturity and experience. Shown and handled very well by his young handler, who got the best from him. RBOB & RBOB Group 2.

1st Wood & Boorman’s WAYWARD TALIA. 2-year-old of good overall proportions and easily spannable. Decent head with good teeth and sufficient strength throughout without appearing overdone. Pleasingly constructed rear. A little out at elbow in front, which affected the overall picture. Presented in good condition and shown well.

1st Wood & Boorman’s WAYWARD GE GE. 12-month-old, well-proportioned and balanced young dog, easily spannable. Good head and mouth. Would prefer a little more angulation fore and aft, but moved accurately both coming and going. Appeared a little out of coat today, which detracted slightly from the overall picture. A pleasing young dog who should continue to develop with maturity. BOB 

A.V Terrier Veteran (2,1)

1st Goldfinch’s CH TYCADNO BRIGHT STAR FOR KANAWHA. 9-year-old Cairn presented in remarkable condition for her age. Compact and well put together, with a lovely typical head and excellent teeth. Good layback of shoulder and a well-constructed rear with hocks well let down. Presented in a very good coat. Tail nicely set and carried. Very smart and showy on the move, moving with purpose and retaining a lively, active appearance. A quality veteran who belied her years and presented an excellent overall picture.

GRP 4. Birmingham’s NIATONA INSPECTOR BLAKE. STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER 22-month-old masculine male, every inch a Stafford and presented in excellent, hard muscular condition. Lovely broad head with good strength throughout, neat rose ears and ok mouth. Strong, straight front with plenty of substance and a well-constructed, powerful rear. Moved true in front and adequately behind, with lovely free, powerful movement in profile, covering the ground well. A strong, athletic young male displaying plenty of breed type.

GRP 2: AWBROOKSKY SUPERSONIC. BORDER TERRIER

GRP 3: Rowland’s BILROSESTAFF SWEETIE PIE. STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER. Young bitch puppy of lovely feminine type, yet already showing good strength and substance. Feminine but powerful head with lovely teeth. Well muscled for her age without losing femininity. A lovely mover, showing a free, powerful and agile action, covering the ground well. A very promising young Stafford with a pleasing combination of femininity, strength and athleticism.
