Ten-year-old dog who is naturally beginning to show his age but still possesses many breed virtues. Masculine with good bone and a clean, well-proportioned head, complemented by a correct ear set and alert expression. Displays good shoulder placement and a balanced three-part outline with the correct topline flowing into a well-formed croup. Correct coat texture. On the move he remained sound coming and going with good rear drive, maintaining an easy, ground-covering gait in profile that reflects the breed’s functional, effortless movement. Best of Breed.

Two-year-old blue merle of excellent breed type. Presents a lovely, well-balanced head with a sweet expression and correctly tipped ears. Correct bone for size and balanced throughout, with a pleasing croup contributing to an attractive outline. Moved freely with an effortless, ground-covering stride in profile while remaining clean coming and going. A quality exhibit that fulfilled the requirements of the breed standard well. Best of Breed.

Puppy Dog (3, 1)

1st: 126 Foreman’s Ambersun Another Adventure (AI)

Eight-month-old youngster with a pleasing masculine head and kind, intelligent expression. Well balanced throughout with good bone and compact feet. Nicely muscled for his age and has a good croup, giving a balanced outline. Moved freely with an easy, ground-covering gait and remained clean coming and going. A very promising youngster with much to admire. Best Puppy in Breed & Best of Breed.

2nd: 143 Taylor & Tenn’s Strettonhill Kooky Monster

Ten-month-old who is still very much developing. Attractive head and expression with plenty of breed character. At present he is carrying a little more knuckle than ideal and is slightly short on leg, while his coat still has some maturing to do. Nevertheless, he shows considerable promise and should benefit from time.

Special Yearling Dog (2, 1)

1st: 130 Henson & Luckham’s Flyngalee Hunky Dory

Masculine youngster with a clean head and alert, inquisitive expression. Good bone and feet with a pleasing bend of stifle. Chest still needs time to complete its development but overall balance is good. Moved with a rhythmic, easy gait and clearly enjoyed his time in the ring with his handler.

Post Graduate Dog (3, 2)

1st: 131 Jayakumar & Rajendran’s Zenevieva Bolder Than Brass (IKC)

Balanced dog with a clean head and typical expression. Good bone and feet, carrying firm muscle throughout. Showed pleasing reach and drive on the move. His handler tended to move him a little faster than ideal at times, which affected his outline, but there is much to like about this exhibit.

Limit Dog (1, 0)

1st: 129 Henson’s Cinderbank Move It JW

Well-balanced dog with a pleasing head and gentle expression. Good angulation both front and rear, although I would prefer a slightly longer croup to complete the outline. Sound coming and going, although he has a tendency to toe in slightly on the front when approaching. Moved steadily in profile.

Puppy Bitch (4)

A particularly promising class of youngsters, all coping admirably with the difficult ground conditions.

1st: 123 Cowper’s Laurenley Lady Mary for Garmoran

Lovely feminine puppy with a balanced head and soft, typical expression. Good bone and compact feet with pleasing substance for her age. Nicely muscled and balanced throughout. Still understandably immature in her movement but showed a pleasing, easy side gait. A very promising youngster with plenty to offer for the future. Reserve Best of Breed.

2nd: 132 Manton’s Chelmerway Golly Gosh

Another quality youngster with attractive make and shape. Nicely balanced angulation front and rear with a good croup and pleasing outline. Well focused throughout. Today she just lacked the front development of the winner but has every opportunity to progress well.

3rd: 140 Phipps-Baker & Baker’s Maddouse Just Trouble

Deserves a mention for her attractive overall shape and proportions. Good bone and feet with a pleasing outline. One to watch as she continues to mature.

Special Yearling Bitch (4, 1)

1st: 144 Taylor & Tenn’s Strettonhills Bees Knees

Twelve-month-old feminine youngster with a lovely head and gentle expression. Balanced angulation front and rear with good bone, compact feet and a well-formed croup. Moved well in profile, maintaining a pleasing outline throughout.

2nd: 128 Foreman’s Ambersun Winter Treasure

Twenty-two-month-old who was beautifully schooled and attentive to her handler throughout. Lovely head and expression with balanced angulation. I would prefer a little less length of loin and she is still carrying a touch more knuckle than ideal, but there is much quality here.

3rd: 141 Riley’s Strettonhills Quevega

Still very raw and immature but moved with an effortless, ground-covering stride in profile. Attractive outline and proportions. Has plenty of time on her side and could easily change places with more maturity. As the exhibit was withdrawn from the following class by her handler, one can only presume she may not have been feeling at her best, which could well have influenced her performance on this occasion.

Post Graduate Bitch (3, 2)

1st: 144 Taylor & Tenn’s Strettonhills Bees Knees

Repeated her earlier performance, displaying the same feminine head, balanced construction and pleasing movement to take this class.

Open Bitch (2, 1)

1st: 125 Foreman’s Ambersun All Of My Heart

Four-year-old bitch of good breed type with pleasing bone and overall balance. Moved soundly both in profile and coming and going. Today she presented something of a challenge to her handler but nevertheless showed enough quality to head the class.
